Worldwide Youth Un-Employment Reaches Record Levels

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/07/youth-unemployment-worldwide-joblessness_n_4019601.html

[PADA: Srila Prabhupada said that his Krishna devotees need to have their own independent farms, where they can develop self-sufficient lifestyles. This would create a shelter for the devotees as the karmi society deteriorates, because un-employment will become very prominent. As a result, this would create a rise in criminal activity and thus -- "the cities will become very dangerous."

That is already happening as Kali Yuga continues to gain more steam.

Right now a devotee from Alachua has wrote to tell PADA, many of the devotees there are senior aged. A few of them have some independent wealth, but a large group of them are not getting hardly any money from social security because many of them did not work for many years since they were living in temples, so they have not paid into the system. Meanwhile they will have more medical and other care needs etc.

And thus he "fears for their future."

So, by not having farms both the senior aged people have no shelter, and the Krishna youth are looking at fighting hard to find work in a very competitive environment. Some of these youth have ended up working in hamburger restaurants and so on, the Krishna society has not provided for their future for the most part. ys pd]

  1. How ironical, that Alachua is listed under farms but they don't sell one single green bean outside of the temple, do they? The cows are being kept simply until they die and devotees have to beg for money to maintain them. No milk is made from them they are simply a burden. Like on the rest of the farms. The Prabhupada disciples spent their lives living off the labor of themselves and now that they are old they don't farm, they want to be maintained like the old cows. And the youth don't want to work the farm either, since there doesn't seem to be anything to be paid for, is there? No milk, no produce, what does the farm produce? Yet they claim to have the most Prabhupada disciples of any temple in the world? Nice job ISKCON Prabhupada disciples. Setting the example of how to mess up even the final stages of your own lives. Way to go!

  2. Hare Rama, PAMHO AGTSP!
Well anybody can criticize, but what will that help?!
We can not undo the damage now by material means.
My best advice to any Prabhupadanuga, add additional Mantras to your normal Sadhana(16 rounds Maha Mantra).
Now we have Navaratri and I am listening to Devi Mahatmya(also called Durga Saptashati) from Marandeya Purana daily, since I am also basically left with nothing and there are no farms(and nobody is even qualified to run a farm in ISKCON Germany)

This is a powerful ~2h recitation to solve material problems:

Also if there are obstacles on our path worship Narasimha or Ganesha(simple Mantra Om Gam Ganapathaye namaha 1008 times) daily for 6 month:
    Kavacha: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAWqvo-_4j0
    Runa Vimocha Stotram: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5_VCQFuIN4

Everybody has to sit down and do a Mantra Sadhana and this will remove the problem in due course of time.
Just blaming other will not help us.

    Greetings
    Bhakta Robin

  3. And to think Bhakta Robin we wasted our time serving Krishna when we could have served these demigods instead. Good thing we have ritviks like you around to help us out. Om Durga Namah. Om Ganesh Namah! Om Shivaya Namah!

I see you are indeed practically left with nothing may I recommend you try reading Srila Prabhupada's books in your spare time instead? Then maybe you might learn a little something about Krishna Consciousness. Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad-Gita for those who wish to worship the demigods I make their faith strong in such beings. Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I will protect you from all harm, do not fear. And "Wherever there is Krishna, the master of all mystics and wherever there is Arjuna, the supreme archer, there will also certainly be opulence, victory, extraordinary power and morality.
    Bhagavad-Gita 18.78,
    Srila Prabhupada
