GBC Losing Credibility Worldwide

Closing Edinburgh ISKCON, Hijacking its Deities

What would His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada say?

The recent creepy, late nighttime hijacking of the Belfast, Northern Ireland Deities was a shock to many devotees around the world. Disgraceful and inauspicious, despite the GBC Praghosh das giving so many lame lies and excuses for doing it. Praghosh (so-called GBC) also wants to close down the Edinburgh ISKCON Temple.

This act is contradicting HDG Srila Prabhupada's exact instructions to NEVER close Sri Krsna's Temples. It's in black and white. I guess Praghosh das can't read Prabhupada's letters. As for the reason for doing this hijacking of Deities, it was money. This was the final straw at last for many, and a huge offence to Srila Prabhupada and the Irish devotees. That's breaking the camel's back in ISKCON. No financial accountability and no GBC accountability.

Case in Point:

Even at the Bhaktivedanta Manor, it's in name only, as there are still huge salaries given to all the 'big' devotees. There is no accountability for the salaries that leaders, cooks, pujaris, preachers, teachers, Temple President and Vice President etc. take from the temple's coffers. The Bhaktivedanta Manor is no longer Srila Prabhupada's intended project. It has lost its mood of devotional service. Now's it's a job, employment not bhakti-yoga at the Manor. Praghosh das was responsible for doing this monster run-away salary trip that now can't be checked.

[PADA: One of the Bengali poojaris here in USA just got his green card, and he immediately left the temple and got a job at a karmi restaurant. He was only here to get his foot into the USA economy.]

ISKCON has become contaminated by money. It's now a mere shadow of what it was meant to be: unmotivated and uninterrupted pure devotion to Krsna. Instead, it's become a Hindu Business venue… Karma-yoga. New Age compromised, not following Srila Prabhupada properly. All under the mismanagement and corruption of money going into the hands of the Temple President, devotees and GBC.

HDG Srila Prabhupada was well know by all his disciples in the late 1960s and 70s for his careful, exact strictness to details, and for all his standards and practices for Krsna consciousness in ISKCON. He carefully explained Deity worship to us. It's a no brainer, but apparently the GBC have no brain anymore. Money is more important than obeying Srila Prabhupada and respecting his instructions and his followers. No one listens anymore to the things we need to do, and things we never should do, such as Never Ever Move Deities.

The Belfast ISKCON Temple's Deities were there for 30 years (a long time). The Deities are KRSNA (GOD), and "They should never be taken out of their home." It's unthinkable, what happened. The excuse of no manpower and no money falls to the gutter. It's the GBC's duty to make sure devotees preach, go out on sankirtana, and come home to their temple asramas. The asramas are supposed to flourish, which in turn solves the manpower/money problem. But Hindu Money is more important than devotees to many GBCs. It's a hellish mentality.

Apparently, Praghosh das and his GBC associates think they are the Ultimate Authority, to the point of even ignoring Srila Prabhupada's instructions, and the community of devotees in Belfast. We have seen this maya in the name of Krsna Consciousness also in Brooklyn, New York recently. It's an aparadha, disobeying His Divine Grace's strict instruction to "NEVER move installed Deities". The temple is Their permanent home and moving them is a rare option. The pure devotee invites them to stay.

Please read this letter from Srila Prabhupada, sent to Hamsaduta das at the Bhaktivedanta Manor in 1974 on the topic, "Deity Worship, Closing Temples":

Letter to: Hamsaduta das:

Vrindaban India
12 September, 1974

Los Angeles USA

My Dear Hamsaduta das:

Please accept my blessings. I have just now received some letters from London from Madhavananda and others brought by Paramahamsa Swami who was there. Regarding Madhavananda being the president, if he received the vote, why you have opposed? You must be impartial. My recommendation is that he must be the president. He has been chosen by the vote, and I am giving the casting vote for him. He is doing things very nicely there, so he must be the president. Prabha Visnu should go on Sankirtana, and Madhavananda should be president. Everything must go on. The women are doing nicely, so why are they being changed from the pujarito the Sankirtana? These things should be done by the President. These are internal things, and you should not interfere. I do not approve of your changing the women. It should be the choice of Madhavananda who should be the pujari.

Why did you close Edinburgh without asking me? Paramahamsa reports that you have closed the Edinburgh temple. Edinburgh was doing nicely. You can't close a temple without asking me? Is this too much to do this? Our propaganda is opening temples, and you are closing them. We are not for closing but for increasing. I do not approve of this. If possible the Edinburgh temple must be re-opened again.

If you close the temple, what is the management? Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu pushed the Sankirtana movement, but He never said to close the Jagannatha temple or the Govindaji temple. In Edinburgh we had a nice house, why you have closed it? Why you have whimsically done this? If possible the Edinburgh temple must be re-opened. Don't do anything whimsically without consulting me.

I made the GBC to give me relief, but if you do like this, then where is the relief. It is anxiety for me. This is the difficulty, that as soon as one gets power, he becomes whimsical and spoils everything. What can I do? If anything has to be changed, that can be decided at the annual GBC meeting, but not whimsically.

I am not in favor of closing even a small temple. It is not a plaything to close a temple or to start a temple. When we open a temple we are inviting Krsna. So you can't say to Krsna, go away. You have no feeling what are the ideals of a temple. You should always consider that we have invited Lord Caitanya, Lord Jagannatha, and Radha Krsna, and if we close it, it is an insult. How can we call Them, and then say get out. We should always feel when we open a temple that the Deity is living and not dead stone or wood. It is a great offense. Before opening a temple it must be considered a hundred times, and after opening it cannot be closed. It must be maintained.

arcye visnau siladhir gurusu
nara matir Vaisnave jati buddhih

"One who considers the arca murti or worshipable Deity of Lord Visnu to be stone, the spiritual master to be an ordinary human being, and a Vaisnava to belong to a particular caste or creed, is possessed of hellish intelligence."

If the Edinburgh house is still available, it must be re-opened.

I hope this meets you in good health.

Your ever well wisher,
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami

A maha-apardha is being committed by Praghosh das and the GBC, who turn a blind eye to this nonsense in ISKCON. God help them. What would Srila Prabhupada say about such whimsical, unauthorised action for the sake of money in his ISKCON?

[PADA: This is all good news and bad news ultimately, good news -- it means more and more people are waking up to their scam. Bad news, many people have to suffer badly before they wake up. ys pd]

Hitler Prajalpa Program (update)

PADA: A brand new bhaktin who has only read a few of Srila Prabhupada's books wrote to ask PADA why are some devotees (OK like the Prahlad / Sanat / Mukunda / HKC Jaipur folks etc.) so much obsessed with Hitler, the Zionists, the New World Order, Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, Monsanto, chemtrails, David Icke, the Draco demons and so on, are these not all mundane issues?

Wow! So I wrote back to tell her yes, you have a much better idea of Krishna consciousness than all these people put together. Srila Prabhupada said we should not discuss all these mundane things, or even meditate on such foolishness. So this shows how a brand new person can read a few books from Srila Prabhupada and be more elevated than people who artificially claim to read his books like the GBC and others.

I told her that she has made more progress in a few months than these guys have made in 40 years, and she should continue to make such progress by avoiding these cantankerous foolishness topics, which Srila Prabhupada says is all mundane prajalpa and a waste of human life. I also told her the real reason these people promote all this is to confuse the public about what Krishna wants, Krishna does not want us to become mundane speculators and paranoid delusional cranks.

I told her how one of these people recently sent me a video of David Icke, and he was talking about how the rings of Saturn are giant radio transmission devices made by a demoniac species meant to bombard us with radio waves to control our minds, so they are simply making people paranoid, fearful, delusional, and lacking faith in the powers of Krishna, like they are themselves. Never mind all this is speculation on steroids.

Of course then again I told her Krishna is the person who made Saturn and He does not make such things for demoniac purposes, rest assured. I also told her a number of these people self-medicate themselves with pot, since they have spun themselves into so much fear and delusions, it does not occur to them to chant the holy name for relief, they have to rely on mundane process for relief. Anyway, Krishna has no interest in all this foolishness and neither does His sincere devotees. Its amazing that she knew all by herself that these people are fully controlled by maya, and she simply asked me for confirmation. ys pd

Jadurani dd: Yes, Srila Prabhupada was given poison ...

[PADA: Unfortunately, Narayana Maharaja then became the darling of Tamal's guru bhoghi party, and he supported the idea that the 11 GBC are gurus. There are also a group of bone heads out there who say "no one listens to PADA," well maybe at least some folks do. We are the original persons who published the 1977 poison tapes audio and transcripts publicly, and it seems many other people are now catching up to speed on this issue. ys pd]

Belfast Deities Stolen (Update)

Demons were always trying to steal Krishna from Mother Yasoda

Belfast Deities Stolen

This is in response to "Radha Madhava are welcomed to ISKCON Leicester" from the Dandavats website managed by Pragosh das.

[PADA: Right, the GBC's front man and web site manager is really one of their worst agent provocateurs, namely Praghosa dasa. This is the same guy who teased the little Mayapura children that he was building them a playground, then he said this was a joke, and so they all started crying. The local Bengalis also wanted him removed from Mayapura for all sorts of reasons. Praghosa is also a big defender of the GBC's illicit sex, drugs and criminality guru sampradaya. Right, Krishna's successors are often debauchees, who knew! Lovely!]

May I first say that I feel disgusted that Pragosh (the GBC member who stole the Deities) is stating that he has known Sri Sri Radha Madhava since 1983. Pragosh in 1983 was working as a postman in London and it was not until 1985 that he traveled back to Ireland and joined the Hare Krishna movement full-time prior to helping out in Govinda's Restaurant in London.

Pragosh aka Paul Murphy is also claiming, according to this article, that "In an exchange of love, ISKCON Leicester has given their Panca Tattva Deities to ISKCON Belfast, in a solid expression of gratitude." This is simply nothing but lies and spin to convince the reader that this act took place without any argument. The Leicester Temple did not wish to part with their bas relief of the Pancha Tattva, which they had for a long period of time. Pragosh forced the temple authorities to hand Them over to Belfast as some sort of a consolation prize to pacify the disappointed devotees for forcing the Belfast community to surrender their Deities.

[PADA: Right, so both communities were attacked. Of course the Philadelphia devotees had to fight the GBC to get rid of Ravindra; the NYC temple is kicking out people for protesting the sale of that building; the Phoenix temple has been fighting the GBC for kicking out 30 people; the Vancouver temple kicked out their best kirtana people and they had to make their own program; and there are communities up in arms over the GBC in Australia and etc. OK, this is all really good news, the citizens are finally taking action to defend themselves from these exploiters. (A little late in the game, but something is better than nothing).]
The Belfast Deities were not however exchanged. The Belfast community did not want to let Them go and had an awaiting court order about to begin which would have prevented Them from being taken.

[PADA: Take the GBC to court, excellent idea.]

Hence Pragosh and his useful idiots had to sneak into the temple under the cover of darkness and steal Them while the temple devotees were sleeping and when the congregation were not around. When the pujari awoke and alerted the other resident devotees nothing but screaming, crying and sobbing could be heard from most of the devotees living in the temple.

[PADA: Yep, the Prabhupada devotees, the gurukulis, and their own disciples, are often screaming and crying at the atrocities the GBC engages in. That is what Srila Prabhupada says, wherever the demons are, the devotees are crying.]

Some were hysterical and unable to speak due to the fright of the Deities disappearance from the alter so suddenly. The police were summoned but it was too late to catch them. So to say that the exchange was "loving" completely insults the Belfast community, who did not want their beloved Sri Sri Radha Madhava to leave their care after 30 years. Using this phrase is a disgusting attempt to hide the actual reality and make it out to appear that all went well.

The biggest slap in the face to the community was by mentioning in the Dandavats article that "Praghosa Dasa, GBC for the UK said: "Having known Radha Madhava since 1983, I cannot remember a more auspicious and blissful event in Their association than today in Leicester."

Wow!!! This man, who is respected by so few in his own Yatra and who conveniently hides himself away from most of the Irish community like an absent landlord, rarely took the opportunity to ever come visit these particular Forms of the Lord. Pragosh has been known to come visit them every 5 to 6 years to simply bow his head and quickly disappear.

He has been rarely seen or present in Belfast while most of the congregation have heard about him, but never seen him. So to claim that a relationship was in place is yet another form of spin to convince his innocent audience in Leicester that he is emotionally attached. This is simply condescending and further insulting to those who actually did develop a loving and tangible relationship with Them based upon Seva. Pragosh's desire to distract and take most of the credit for himself begs belief.

[PADA: That is also what happened here in San Francisco and other places. Swarupa Damodara was the guru, and he showed up here once every two years, so some of his disciples were smoking pot and etc. and no one was here to guide them. Its absentee managing, which never really works. You need to have local people doing local managing, not to have some "guru" or GBC who has a giant million square miles of "zone" that he simply cannot oversee due to its size ... of course its better that theses gurus and GBC never visit in many cases because then they create chaos when they visit. Gunagrahi's disciple for example told me that the worst times that they had in South America was when their guru would visit, and he would turn everything upside down and create mayhem, including breaking up marriages and destroying families.]

The Deities were taken not because Their standard of worship was in question. (I will write a further article later to dispute this allegation and have it endorsed by the community.) They were taken to appease a Hindu community who had the capacity of giving large donations to Pragosh's institution and as a catalyst to close down the Belfast Temple, knowing that after the removal of the Deities the temple could be wound down in view of selling (more on this point later.)

The Belfast community has also learnt from Leicester sources that when Pragosh and his obedient Belfast management team do eventually close the community of devotees temple here in Belfast, that the Pancha Tattva bas relief will also be going back to its original home in Leicester, which was also another form of deception. Hence the Leicester management agreed that their bas relief of Pancha Tattva may go to Belfast but only as a temporary measure, knowing someday they would have it returned, while the Belfast community would be left with absolutely nothing they have worked hard for in over 30 years.

This must be the greatest insult to any local Vaisnava community in recent years. Only the attempted sale of the New York temple saga in recent months takes precedence. The deception and the underhanded means of the GBC to achieve their outcomes in both cases is quite astonishing.

[PADA: Well the GBC has been kicking out devotees, and selling farms, houses and buildings for years together. I am glad some folks are finally catching on to this scam. Hansadutta closed the Seattle temple and stole those large Radha and Krishna deities, who are now residing under a carport, this has been going on for decades, wake up people! ys pd]

Celebrities who are Vegetarian ...

Srila Prabhupada's Vyas Pooja Worldwide

[PADA: Yes, prabhu, Srila Prabhupada is more and more having the main -- or only -- Vyasa pooja programs in many ISKCON temples worldwide. We do not see that much of the GBC's gurus getting their Vyas poojas anymore, that program is clearly dwindling. So yes, our idea of emphasis on Srila Prabhupada is sort of happening through the back door. After all, how many people actually believe the GBC -- that the "guru successors" to Vyasa are often degraded debauchees, sexual predators, drug addicts, drunkards and criminals?

The GBC will probably never fully admit that we were right all along to say that the real guru for ISKCON is Srila Prabhupada, but these festivals for Srila Prabhupada are clearly getting more emphasis and festivals for their living gurus are fading, dwindling, disappearing, and that's all there is to it.

We hope the devotees in Belfast and other places like NYC temple where they are harassing the congregation, trying to more or remove their deities, sell their buildings etc. can get their own independent buildings, deities and programs going. As the GBC's false guru ship sinks more and more, we may see them sell more buildings, put more deities in storage or under carports, so they can pocket more money on their way out the door.

We have already had to start independent programs in places like Bangalore, Vancouver, Montreal and many other places even though there is an ISKCON temple there, because they are still forbidding the exclusive worship of HDG Srila Prabhupada. We need to become more independent, and that process is also happening more and more as well. In any case, the GBC's illicit sex acharyas program is going to sink to the bottom of the ocean sooner or later, its just a question of time. ys pd]

From "Prema-bhakti-candrika"

sri-guru-carana-padma, kevala-bhakati-sadma,
bando mui savadhana mate
jahara prasade bhai, e bhava toriya jai,
krsna-prapti hoy jaha ha'te

The lotus feet of our spiritual master are the only way by which we can attain pure devotional service. I bow to his lotus feet with great awe and reverence. By his grace one can cross the ocean of material suffering and obtain the mercy of Krsna.

guru-mukha-padma-vakya, cittete koriya aikya,
ar na koriho mane asa
sri-guru-carane rati, ei se uttama-gati,
je prasade pure sarva asa

My only wish is to have my consciousness purified by the words emanating from his lotus mouth. Attachment to his lotus feet is the perfection that fulfills all desires.

cakhu-dan dilo jei, janme janme prabhu sei,
divya-jnan hrde prokasito
prema-bhakti jaha hoite, avidya vinasa jate
vede gay jahara carito

He opens my darkened eyes and fills my heart with transcendental knowledge. He is my Lord birth after birth. From him ecstatic prema emanates; by him ignorance is destroyed. The Vedic scriptures sing of his character.

sri-guru karuna-sindhu, adhama janara bandhu,
lokanath lokera jivana
ha ha prabhu koro doya, deho more pada-chaya,
ebe jasa ghusuk tribhuvana

Our spiritual master is the ocean of mercy, the friend of the poor, and the lord and master of the devotees. O master! Be merciful unto me. Give me the shade of your lotus feet. Your fame is spread all over the three worlds.

Not A Good Time to Bother God

Birth of Lord Krishna (video)

Engaging Beautiful Women in Krishna's Service (NOD)

Nectar of Devotion

A devotee should try to engage all beautiful women in the service of Krsna. That is his duty. Not to enjoy them. That is sense gratification. The Nectar of Devotion -- Vrndavana, November 11, 1972:

As soon as we are in Krsna consciousness, our seeing, touching, smelling—everything become nirmala, purified. Then we can immediately see Krsna. These eyes, so long it is not purified, we cannot see Krsna. As soon as it is purified, you'll see Krsna. And you'll see Krsna, nothing but Krsna. So this is the process. So devotional service means purification.

sarvopadhi-vinirmuktamtat-paratvena nirmalamhrsikena hrsikesa-sevanam bhaktir ucyate (CC Madhya 19.170)

anyabhilasita-sunyam jnana-karmady-anavrtamanukulyena krsnasu-silanam bhaktir uttama (Brs. 1.1.11)

So Cupid, Cupid is one of the agents of this material, illusory energy, but if we are perfectly in Krsna consciousness, this Cupid cannot pierce with his arrows. That is not possible. As Yamunacārya says, that tadavadhi mama cetah krsna -pa..., yadavadhi mama cetah krsna - padaravindo...

So to a devotee... Just like Haridasa Thakura. You know the story of Haridasa Thakura. Haridasa Thakura was young man, and the Maya, and a prostitute, they came, young prostitute, nicely dressed, and proposed her desire. Haridasa Thakura said, "Yes, please sit down. I shall fulfill your desire. Let me finish my chanting." Just see. At dead of night, a young man, Haridasa Thakura; in front, there is a beautiful young girl; there is nobody else; and she's proposing.

But still, he's steady, chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare. So Cupid cannot pierce. This is the example. There may be thousands of beautiful women before a devotee, but that does not disturb his mind. He sees they're all energies of Krsna. "They are gopīs of Krsna. They are enjoyable by Krsna. I have to serve them. They're gopis. Because I am servant of the servant."

Gopi - bhartuh pada-kamalayoh dasa-dasa-dasanudasah (CC Madhya 13.80). So a devotee should try to engage all beautiful women in the service of Krsna. That is his duty. Not to enjoy them. That is sense gratification. This is the position of a devotee. He's not pierced by the arrows of Cupid, but he sees everything, nirbandhe krsna - sambandhe. He sees everything in relationship with Krsna. Yukta-vairagyam ucyate. That is vairagyam. He does not accept anything for his sense gratification, but he engages everyone in the service of Krsna. Then we can get out of the influence of the arrow of Cupid. This is the process.

Advent of Lord Krishna (by Srila Prabhupada)

London, August 21, 1973

Prabhupada: (chants mangalacarana prayers) His Excellency, the High Commissioner; ladies and gentlemen, I thank you very much for your coming here and participating in this ceremony, Janmastami, advent of Krishna. The subject matter I’ve been ordered to speak on is advent of Krishna. Krishna says in the Bhagavad-gita,

janma karma me divyam yo janati tattvatah tyaktva deham punar janma naiti mam eti kaunteya

This fact, that we can achieve such a stage of life when we can stop our birth and death… Sa ’mrtatvaya kalpate. This morning, I was explaining this verse:
yam hi na vyathayanty ete purusam purusarsabha sama-duhkha-sukham dhiram so ’mrtatvaya kalpate

Amrtatva means immortality. So the modern civilization, they have no idea, either the great philosopher, great politician or great scientist, that it is possible to attain the stage of immortality. Amrtatva. We are all amrta. In the Bhagavad-gita it is said, na jayate na mriyate va kadacin.

We living entities, we never die, never take birth. Nityah sasvato yam, na hanyate hanyamane sarire Every one of us, we are eternal, nityah sasvato; Purana, the oldest. And after annihilation of this body, we do not die. Na hanyate. The body is finished, but I have to accept another body. Tatha dehantara praptir dhiras tatra na muhyati. Dehino ’smin yatha dehe kaumaram yauvanaṁ jara.

This simple thing, at the present moment, they are lacking knowledge, that we, all living entities, part and parcel of Krishna, we are eternal, we are blissful, and we are cognizant. Krishna is described in the Vedic sastras:
īsvaraḥ paramaḥ Krishnah sac-cid-ananda-vigrahah anadir adir govindah sarva-karana-karanam

Sac-cid-ananda-vigrahah. God, Krishna, when I speak Krishna, that means God. If there is any important name… God, it is sometimes said God has no name. That’s a fact. But God’s name is given by His activities. Just like Krishna accepted the sonhood of Maharaja Nanda, or Yasodamayi, or Devaki, or Vasudeva. Vasudeva and Devakī were Krishna’s real father and mother.

Nobody is real father and mother of Krishna, because Krishna is the original father of everyone. But when Krishna comes here, advents, He accepts some devotees as His father, as His mother. Krishna is the original, adi-purusam. Adyam Purana- purusam nava-yauvanaṁ ca He is the original person.

Then must be very old? No. Adyam purana purusam nava-yauvanam ca. Always fresh youth. That is Krishna. When Krishna was on the battlefield of Kurukṣetra, you have seen the picture, He’s just like a boy of twenty years or, at most, twenty-four years old. But at that time, He had great-grandchildren. Therefore, Krishna is always youth. Navayauvanam ca. These are the statements of Vedic literatures.

advaitam acyutam anadim ananta-rupam adyam purana-purusam nava-yauvanam ca vedesu durlabhaṁ adurlabham atma-bhaktau

So, to understand Krishna, simply if we read as a formality the Vedic literature, it will be very difficult to understand what is Krishna. Vedesu durlabham. Although all the Vedas are meant for understanding Krishna. In the Bhagavad-gita, it is said, vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedyo. Aham eva vedyo. What is the use of studying Vedas if you do not understand Krishna? Because the ultimate goal of education means to understand the Supreme Lord, the supreme father, the supreme cause.

As it is said in the Vedanta- sutra, janmady asya yatah. Athato brahma jijnasa. Brahma-jijnasa, to discuss about the Supreme Absolute Truth, Brahman. What is that Brahman? Janmady asya yatah. That Brahman means wherefrom everything emanates. So science, philosophy, means to find out the ultimate cause of everything. That we are getting from the sastras, Vedic literature, that Krishna is the cause of all causes. Sarva-karana-karanam . Sarva-karana-karanam.

isvarah paramah Krishnah sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahah anadir adir govindah sarva-karana-karanam

Cause of all causes. Just like try to understand. I am caused by my father. My father is caused by his father. He is caused by his father, his father… Go on searching, then you’ll ultimately come to somebody who is the cause. But He has no cause. Anadir adir govindah I may be cause of my son, but I am also result of the cause, my father. But the sastra says that anadir adir, He is the original person, but He has no cause. That is Krishna. Therefore, Krishna says that janma karma ca me divyaṁ yo janati tattvatah . The advent of Krishna, it is very important thing.

We should try to understand Krishna, why He advents, why He comes on this material world, what is His business, what are His activities. If we simply try to understand Krishna, then what is the result? The result is tyaktva deham punar janma naiti mam eti kaunteya . You get that immortality. The aim of life is to achieve immortality. Amrtatvaya kalpate.

So in the advent of Krishna, we shall try to understand the philosophy of Krishna. His Excellency was speaking of peace. The peace formula is there, spoken by Krishna. What is that?

bhoktaram yajna-tapasam sarva-loka-mahesvaram suhrdaṁ sarva-bhutanam jnatva mam santim rcchati

If the politicians, diplomats, they are trying to establish peace in the world… The United Nation is there, and there are many other organizations. They are trying to have real peace and tranquillity, no misunderstanding between man to man, nation to nation. But that is not happening. That is not happening. The defect is that in the root is wrong. Everyone’s thinking “It is my country. It is my family. It is my society. It is my property.” This “mine” is illusion. In the sastra it is said, janasya moho ’yam aham mameti.

This “I and my” philosophy is illusion.

So this illusion means maya. Maya… If you want to get out of this illusion, maya, then you have to accept the Krishna’s formula. Mam eva ye prapadyante mayam etam taranti te. Everything is there in the Bhagavad-gita for guidance if we accept the philosophy of Bhagavad-gita as it is. Everything is there. Peace is there, prosperity is there. So that is a fact. Unfortunately, we do not accept it. That is our misfortune. Or we misinterpret it. Krishna says in the Bhagavad- gita, man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru. Krishna says that “You always think of Me,” man-mana bhava mad-bhakto. “Become My devotee.” Mad-yaji, “You worship Me.” Mam namaskuru, “And offer obeisances unto Me.” Is it very difficult task? Here is Krishna’s Deity. If you think of this Deity, Radha-Krishna, is it very difficult?

Man-mana. You come into the temple and, just as a devotee, offer your respect to the Deity, man-mana bhava mad- bhakto. As far as possible try to worship the Deity, patram puspam phalam toyam yo me bhaktya prayacchati. Krishna does not want your whole property. Krishna is open to the poorest man for being worshiped. What He is asking? He says, patram puspam phalam toyam yo me bhaktya prayacchati: “With devotion, if a person offers Me a little leaf, a little fruit, a little water, I accept it.”

Krishna is not hungry, but Krishna wants to make you devotee. That is the main point. Yo me bhaktya prayacchati. That is the main principle. If you offer Krishna little things… Krishna is not hungry; Krishna is providing food for everyone. Eko yo bahunam vidadhati kaman. But Krishna wants your love, your devotion.

Therefore He is begging little patram puspam phalam toyam. Man-mana bhava mad-bhakto. There is no difficulty in understanding Krishna and to accept Krishna consciousness. But we’ll not do that; that is our disease. Otherwise, it is not difficult at all. And as soon as we become devotee of Krishna, we understand the whole situation. Our philosophy, Bhagavata philosophy, is also communism because we consider Krishna the supreme father, and all living entities, they are all sons of Krishna.

So Krishna says that He is the proprietor of all planets, sarva-loka- mahesvaram. Therefore whatever there is, either in the sky or in the water or in the land, they’re all Krishna’s property. And because we are all sons of Krishna, therefore every one of us has the right to use (the) father’s property. But we should not encroach upon others. This is the formula of peace. Ma grdha kasya svidhanam, isavasyam idam sarvam. Everything belongs to God. You are sons of God. You have got the right to use father’s property, but do not take more than you need.

That is punishable. These things are stated in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. Stena eva sa ucyate, in the Bhagavad-gita, “he’s a thief.” If anyone takes more than he needs, then he’s a thief. Yajnarthat karmaṇo ’nyatra loko ’yam karma-bandhanaḥ. If for the satisfaction of Krishna… Yajna means Krishna’s another name is Yajnesvara. So you act for Krishna, you take prasada Krishna.

That what we are teaching here. In this temple, we are residing Americans, Indians, Englishmen, Canadians, Africans, different parts of the world. You know that. Not only in this temple, all over the world. [break]

…when we forget this philosophy, that Krishna is the supreme father, Krishna is the supreme proprietor, Krishna is the supreme enjoyer and Krishna is the supreme friend of everyone. When you forget this, then we come into this material world and struggle for existence, fight with one another. This is material life.

So you cannot get… The politicians, diplomats, philosophers, they have tried so much, but actually nothing has become fruitful. Just like the United Nations. It was organized after the second great war, and they wanted that peacefully we shall settle everything. But there is no such thing. The fighting is going on between Pakistan and India, between Vietnam and America, and this and that. It is not the process. The process is Krishna consciousness. Everyone has to understand this fact, that we are not proprietor.

Proprietor is Krishna. That’s a fact. Just like America. Say two hundred years ago the Americans, the European migrators, they were not proprietor—somebody was proprietor. Before them, somebody was proprietor or it was vacant land. The actual proprietor is Krishna. But artificially you are claiming that “It is my property.” Janasya moho ’yam aham mameti. This is called maya.
So Krishna advents for give us lesson. Yada yada hi dharmasya glanir bhavati bharata. Krishna says, “My dear Arjuna, I come when there is discrepancies in the process of religious life.” Dharmasya glanir bhavati.

And what is dharma? The simple definition of dharma is dharmam tu saksad bhagavat- pranitam. This is dharma. Dharmam tu saksad bhagavat-pranitam. Just like what do you mean by law? Law means the word given by the state. You cannot make law at home. That is not possible. Whatever the government gives you, that “You should act like this,” that is law. Similarly, dharma means the direction given by God. That is dharma. Simple definition. You create dharma. I have created this dharma, another man creates another dharma; these are not dharma. Therefore, where the Bhagavad-gita ends, that sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam , this is dharma—to surrender to Krishna. Any other dharma, they are not dharma.

Otherwise, why Krishna asks sarva-dharman parityajya: “Give up”? He said that dharma-samsthapanarthaya sambhavami yuge yuge: “I advent to establish the principles of religion.” And at last He says, sarva-dharman parityajya. That means the so-called dharmas that we have manufactured, man-made dharmas, they are not dharmas. Dharma means what is given by God. But we have no understanding what is God and what is His word. That is the modern civilization defect. But the order is there, God is there—we won’t accept. Where is the possibility of peace? The order is there. Krishna says, the Supreme, bhagavan uvaca. Vyasadeva writes bhagavan uvaca. One should know what is bhagavan. Vyasadeva could have written Krishna uvaca. No. He says…

If one may misunderstand Krishna, therefore he writes in every stanza, every verse, sri bhagavan uvaca. So Bhagavan is there. Bhagavan is speaking. Bhagavan is accepted by all the acaryas. Ramanujacarya, Madhvacarya, Visnusvamī. Latest, Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu also, even Śankaracarya, he also accepts Krishna—sa bhagavan svayam Krishna. So the verdict of the modern acaryas, and in the past also, Vyasadeva, Narada, Asita, everyone accepted Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Arjuna, who heard from Krishna, after understanding Bhagavad-gita, he said, param brahma param dhama pavitram paramaṁ bhavan purusam adyam sasvatam.

So everything is there. Especially in India, we have got so much asset for understanding God. Simple thing. Everything is there ready made. But we won’t accept. So what is the remedy for such disease? We are searching after peace, but we won’t accept anything which is actually giving us peace. This is our disease. So this Krishna consciousness movement is trying to awaken the dormant Krishna consciousness in everyone’s heart. Otherwise, how these Europeans and Americans and other countrymen, they never heard of Krishna four or five years ago, how they are taking Krishna consciousness so seriously? Krishna consciousness is there in everyone’s heart. It has to be awakened only. That is described in the Caitanya-caritamrta.

nitya-siddha Krishna-bhakti ‘sadhya’ kabhu naya sravanadi-suddha-citte karaye udaya

It is awakened. Love for Krishna, devotion for Krishna, is there within everyone’s heart, but he has forgotten. So this Krishna consciousness movement is simply meant for awakening that Krishna consciousness. This is the process. Just like when you are sleeping, your, I have to call you loudly—“Mr. such and such, such and such, get up. You have got this business.” No other senses will act when you are sleeping. But the ear will act. Therefore, in this age, when people are so fallen they will not hear anything, if we chant this Hare Krishna maha-mantra, he’ll be awakened to Krishna consciousness. This is practical.

So actually if we are anxious for peace and tranquillity in society, then we must be very serious to understand Krishna. That is our request. Don’t take it neglectfully, the Krishna consciousness movement. This movement can solve all the problems of life, all the problems in the world. Social, political, philosophical, religious, economical—everything can be solved by Krishna consciousness. Therefore, we request those who are leaders—just like His Excellency is present here—you should try to understand this Krishna consciousness movement.

It is very scientific, authorized. It is not a mental concoction or sentimental movement. It is most scientific movement. So we are inviting all leaders from all countries: try to understand. If you are sober, if you are actually reasonable, you’ll understand that this Krishna consciousness movement is the sublime movement for the welfare of the whole human society. That’s a fact. Anyone may come. We are prepared to discuss this subject matter. Krishna bhuliya jiva bhoga vancha kare. We should not…

Our human life, the ultimate goal of human life is to achieve immortality. Tyaktva dehaṁ punar janma naiti , This is our…, we have forgotten this. We are simply leading the life of cats and dogs, without any knowledge that we can achieve that perfection of life when there will be no more birth, no more death. We do not understand even that there is possibility of amrtatvam. But everything is possible. Amrtatvam. Nobody wants to die. That’s a fact. Nobody wants to become old man, nobody wants to become diseased.

This is our natural inclination. Why? Because originally, in our spiritual form, there is no birth, no death, no old age, no disease. So after evolutionary process down from the aquatics, birds, beasts, plants, trees, when you come to this form of human form of body after… Asitim caturas caiva laksams tad jiva-jatisu. This is evolutionary process. We come to the human form of body. Then we should know what is the goal of life. The goal of life is amrtatvam, to become immortal.

That you can become immortal simply by becoming Krishna conscious. Krishna says. It is a fact. We have to simply understand. Janma karma me divyam yo janati tattvatah. If you try to understand Krishna in truth, tattvatah, then, tyaktva deham punar janma naiti, after giving up this body, you don’t accept any more material body.

And as soon as you don’t accept any material body means you become immortal. Because by nature we are immortal. So Krishna advents, Krishna advents to teach us this lesson, that “You are immortal by nature. As spirit soul you are part and parcel of Me. I am as immortal. So you are also immortal. Unnecessarily, you are trying to be happy in this material world.”

mamaivamso jiva bhuto jiva-loke sanatanah manah sastanindriyani prakrti-sthani karsati

Simply struggle for…, unnecessarily. The best thing is that you have enjoyed sense life in so many varieties of life, as cats, as dogs, as demigods, as tree, as plants, as insect. Now, in this human form of life, don’t be captivated by sensuous life. Just try to understand Krishna. That is the verdict of the sastras. Nayam deho deha-bhajam nrloke kastan kaman arhate vid-bhujam ye .

To work very hard like dogs and hog for sense gratification is not the ambition of human life. Human life is meant for little austerity. Tapo divyam putraka yena suddhyet sattvam. We have to purify our existence. That is the mission of human life. Why I shall purify my sattva existence? Brahma-saukhyam tv anantam. Then you get unlimited pleasure, unlimited happiness. That is real pleasure. Ramante yogino ’nante satyananda-cid-atmani iti rama-padenasau paraṁ brahmabhidhiyate.

So, at least in India, all the great personalities, saintly persons, sages and ācāryas, they have cultivated this spiritual knowledge so nicely and fully, and we are not taking advantage of it. It is not that those sastras and directions are meant for the Indians or for the Hindus or for brahmanas. No. It is meant for everyone. Because Krishna claims

sarva-yonisu kaunteya sambhavanti murtayah yah tasam mahad brahma yonir aham bija-pradah pita

Krishna claims that “I am everyone’s father.” Therefore, He is very much anxious to make us peaceful, happy. Just like the father wants to see his son is well situated and happy; similarly, Krishna also wants to see every one of us happy and well-situated. Therefore He comes sometimes. Yada yada hi dharmasya glanir bhavati This is the purpose of Krishna’s advent. So those who are servants of Krishna, devotees of Krishna, they should take the mission of Krishna. They should take up the mission of Krishna. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s version.

amara ajnaya guru hana tara ei desa yare dekha, tare kaha, ‘Krishna’-upadesa
Krishna-upadesa. Just try to preach what Krishna has said in the Bhagavad-gita. That is the duty of every Indian. Caitanya Mahaprabhu says.

bharata-bhumite manusya janma haila yara janma sarthaka kari para-upakara.
So Indians, Indians are meant for para-upakara. Indians are not meant for exploiting others. That is not Indians’ business. Indian history is all along for para-upakara. And formerly, from all parts of the world, used to come to India to learn what is spiritual life.

Even Jesus Christ went there. And from China and from other countries. That is history. And we are forgetting our own asset. How much we are callous. Such a great movement, Krishna consciousness, is going on all over the world, but our Indians are callous, our government is callous. They do not take. That is our misfortune. But it is the Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s mission.

He says any Indian, bharata bhumite manusya janma, if he’s human being, he must make his life perfect by taking advantage of this Vedic literature and distribute the knowledge all over the world. That is para-upakara. So India can do. They are actually appreciating. These Europeans, American young men, they are appreciating that how great… I get daily dozens of letter, how they are benefited by this movement. Actually, that is the fact. It is giving the life for the dead man. So I shall specially request the Indians, especially His Excellency, kindly cooperate with this movement, and try to make successful your life and others’ life. That is the mission of Krishna, advent of Krishna.
Thank you very much.

Focus on Krishna (video)

Lessons on Guru Tattva by Dharmavirya das

[PADA: A system where gurus are falling down is the blind leading the blind -- into a ditch. Right. ys pd]

Sri Krishna Janmashtami 25th August 2016

ca me divyam evam yo vetti tattvatah
tyaktva deham punar janma naiti mam eti so ‘rjuna

In the Bhagavad-gita (4.9), Lord Sri Krishna says that His appearance, birth and activities are all transcendental and that one who understands them factually becomes immediately eligible to be transferred to the spiritual world. The Lord’s appearance or birth is not like that of an ordinary man, who is forced to accept a material body according to his past deeds. He appears out of His own sweet will.

At the time of Krishna’s birth, the planetary systems were automatically adjusted so that everything became auspicious. Everywhere, there was an atmosphere of peace and prosperity. Auspicious stars were visible in the sky. The rivers were flowing full of water and the lakes were beautifully decorated with lotus flowers. The birds in the forests began to sing in a sweet voice. The wind was blowing very pleasantly, carrying the aroma of different flowers. Thus Krishna appeared on the eighth day of the dark fortnight (Krishna-paksha ashtami) in the month of Shravana (July-August). The astrological influence of the star, Rohini was predominant at that time.

So every year, on the eighth day of dark fortnight in the month of Shravana, devotees all over the world celebrate the auspicious appearance day of Lord Sri Krishna. This day is a very special day in the lives of the devotees of Krishna. Great acharyas recommended that one should observe Janmashtami Vrata for the pleasure of the Lord.

Problems in the Mother Amma Camp

Self-styled Cow Protector Arrested

[PADA: It seems the main problem for cows in India is that the cows are foraging around in garbage piles, often filled with plastic bags and who knows what kinds of toxic materials, which is making them get very sick and causes their death. In short, cows need to be protected by managing them and making arrangements for their welfare. There are also many cows who died recently in a drought, because no one gave them water. In sum, India needs a factual "gau raksha" program, and simply beating up a few cow transporters is not going to fix this mess. Some of the Dalits (untouchables) were also cleaning up the dead bodies of these cows after they died, but many of them are now on strike and they are not going to remove the bodies of the dead cows. And this is causing yet another problem. Again, no real system of taking care of these issues has been put together. The government needs to make a comprehensive cow management program. ys pd]

ISKCON Belfast Community Demands Praghosha Resign

[PADA: OK the GBC are apparently moving the deity and selling the Belfast temple, against the wishes of the community. This is making more sense now, this is typical GBC goonda behaviors. Of course, since people like Praghosha are loyal paid up servants, they cannot expect the GBC to get rid of him.

They need loyal lackeys to do their dirty work, like stealing deities and selling temples. They are also selling the New York Temple, against the wishes of the community, etc. Where is all this money going? Well some suspect its being used for the multi-million dollar Bombay lawsuit against the Prabhupadanugas. Right, this is all about money, and collecting more money from the Hindus, who knew? ys pd]

Praghosh Das-(uk) (GBC) DEMAND He Resign as GBC--NOW--

Belfast Deities Taken in the Night

Just wanted to let everyone know that during the night from Monday 15/08/2016 to Tuesday 16/08/2016 while all temple residents were sleeping, ISKCON authorities Praghosa dasa GBC, Manu Das, Bhagavati dasi, and Krishna Katha das from Ireland and Northern Ireland have stolen our Sri Sri Radha Madhava Deities from ISKCON Belfast temple.

It was planned by the same authorities without any discussion with community members to move the Deities to ISKCON Leicester temple on August 19, 2016 after the Balarama festival and before Janmashtami, because they was planning to collect great donations from Hindu devotees on Janmashtami day. No doubt Leicester temple is a more profitable place than Belfast temple.

But authorities did not keep their promise to let Belfast devotees have a last darshan of Sri Sri Radha Madhava on August 18th, and took Them earlier.

Just wanted ISKCON Leicester devotees know that the Radha Krishna Deities came to Leicester in a not very auspicious way. Belfast temple do not have any Deities any more, the altar is empty, and soon Ireland leaders will sell this temple and will use the money the way they want.

While Leicester devotees will enjoy darshans and blessings from different Deities, Belfast devotees will suffer from separation from their beloved Sri Sri Radha Madhava, Who stayed in Belfast the last 35 years.

Please recommend us how Belfast community can live without Deities, and in the close future without a temple, and still raise their children?

Please share this information with devotees. Maybe somebody will be able to help us to solve this unfair action with devotees in Belfast.

Brahmin Initiation Ceremony (Montreal)

GBC Praghosha Das Stole the Belfast Deities?

Hare Krishna. Yes I was one of the community members who summoned the police after Pragosh and his band of criminals snatched our deity during the darkness of the night . It caused hysterics and all the devotees were crying uncontrollably. I wish to further comment on your article. But your site says members only can post. Anon Belfast

No problem. Send your comments to angel108b@yahoo.com and I'll post them. ys pd

Krishna Devotee Arrested In Russia

[PADA: This is sad news. The GBC burnt the West out and then they fled to India and places like Russia, and it seems their karma is not that good, and they may run into problems in the places they ran off to. Of course this is not good news for the whole movement itself. At the same time, it looks like Russia is just cracking down on all independent religions and maybe there was nothing that could have been done to prevent that, its just a rough place. Where will the GBC put all their eggs now -- if they cannot expand in places like Russia? ys pd]

How the GBC Undermines Vedic Authority

PADA: The current position of the GBC is to attack the entire principle of the authority of the Vedic acharyas. They are making the authority of the acharya a mundane process. For example Bhakti Vikas swami, Hrdayananda swami, Badrinarayana swami, Jayadvaita swami, Gaura Govinda maharaja -- and many others in their group -- are writing papers and giving lectures saying sometimes (A) our other GBC's leaders are bona fide diksha gurus (acharyas) -- meanwhile, sometimes also saying (B) our GBC's diksha gurus are prone to falling down, deviating, and in many examples -- no one should follow or listen to them anymore.

The Vedic authority is thus lost when we say that acharyas are sometimes (or even oftentimes) bogus, making mistakes, and worse, that acharyas are often fallen debauchees. So this is actually undermining the whole principle of Vedic culture, which is founded on the platform that the acharyas are on the absolute platform, and they are thus speaking the absolute truth. Now, under the GBC's scheme, acharyas are meant to be criticized, made to look like fools, and they need to be removed for deviations and so forth. This is an assault on the entire foundation of Vedic culture.

Then again, if over fifty percent of their acharyas fail, what kind of business can survive if fifty percent of it products are a failure? Suppose fifty percent of Chevrolet cars start on fire due to faulty wiring, how can they stay in business? At least Virabahu was more honest, he said probably ninety five percentage of the GBC's sannyasa (gurus) will fail. Fine except, we are not allowed to say even one percent of the parampara is bogus? Now we are down to, "not too much of the parampara from God is smelly old rotten eggs."

This is also how the 1880s British Raj culture attacked the Vedic culture as well. Some British "scholars" wrote books saying the Vedic process is not authorized and we should not listen to its gurus and acharyas. And the GBC's leaders are saying this exact same thing all the time. They say their acharyas are not realized souls, if not fools, and so acharyas are meant to be -- censured, criticized, monitored, suspended, removed and even excommunicated. That pulls the carpet out from under the whole Vedic principle -- that acharyas are not meant to be criticized, made to look like fools, and so forth.

Bhakti Vikas swami for example is in fact proud of the fact that the other GBC acharyas have rejected his book, that means he is saying some of his own ISKCON acharyas do not accept the writings and speaking of other bona fide acharyas. In sum, acharyas are simply ordinary men, if not mundane wranglers, who are in a constant state of disagreement and infighting. As such, the acharyas have to write public papers and books to criticize, attack and defeat the other acharyas. Where does Srila Prabhupada say that we should make a bunch of acharyas -- who will be writing papers to publicly criticize and attack each other?

None of this has even been done by any previous acharyas, that they would write public papers to defeat, minimize, attack and ridicule each other. This process has all been conjured up by the fertile brains of the GBC and the members of their guru club. The REAL acharyas are one in consensus, they are not fighting like cats and dogs over different issues while claiming the other acharyas are deviants, frauds, fools, sex and drug addicts, con men etc.

In other words, the GBC members and their gurus are fabricating the idea that acharyas are mundane wranglers who publicly disagree with one another on foundational principles of the Krishna religion. This relativises the acharya's status and undermines the whole concept of Vedic authority. So, on the one hand they say we should all respect the position of acharya because its absolute, while on the other hand they CONSTANTLY write GBC annual reports etc. saying that their acharyas need to be censured, suspended, monitored, removed and even put in jail for deviating.

The Vedas say the acharyas are pure and eternal, whereas the GBC says no, that is bogus -- in reality our acharyas are -- fly by night, questionable, impermanent, untrustworthy, and are similar to "buyer beware" used car salesmen. The GBC for example wrote a 1980 paper against the mahajanas saying that sometimes the mahajanas forget Krishna, but Srila Prabhupada says a pure devotee never forgets Krishna even for a second.

Of course, even us neophyte fools are remembering Krishna enough that we do not fall into illicit sex with men, women and children like the GBC's acharyas are doing. So the GBC is making the post of acharyas less than the kanistha platform, and turning it into the platform of mundane wranglers.

"After the time of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, those faithful to Him kept apart from non devotees, to avoid contamination. Seeing this, the personality of Kali sent his representatives in disguise to pollute the Vaisnava sampradaya. Posing as Vaishnavas, they spread their wicked doctrines, and appeared so intelligent and devoted that only pure devotees could detect their real identity.

Most devotees — not only the most neophyte – were enchanted by their tricks. In this way Kali’s agents expertly introduced karma, jnana, and anya-abhilasa in the Vaisnava sampradaya and caused suddha-bhakti to vanish from the world.”

Sajjana Tosani 18.2.13-14 (1915)

So yes, they are agents of Kali Yuga, which in main part means "quarrel and dissention." So these GBC folks are saying that the acharyas are in a state of constant quarrel and dissention, so they can put the whole human society into that same state, and take them to the lower planets along with them. Srila Prabhupada says that these disciples of Kali yuga will create a mundane process to make acharyas artificially, and they are thus headed for the lowest regions.

In any case, there is no evidence that previous acharyas are writing papers to ridicule, defeat, attack and malign the other acharyas, its simply not done. Acharyas are always glorifying one another and accentuating and encouraging one another, and so are their bona fide followers. ys pd

I Want My Money Back!

Anon Das: Just read your comments and sums up pretty much how i feel...
"I recently took reinitiation from Indradyumna after Satsvarupa advised me to take it from another Iskcon guru. This is the 4th initiation from a "pure devotee" Iskcon guru. Once with permission of the previous guru who advised me after his falldown to stay in Iskcon (official policy, their confessing letters are written under GBC supervision).
Kirtananda Swami - first initiation
Harikesa Swami- first and second
Satsvarupa Swami - first and second
Indradyumna-first and second
I feel like rejecting my present guru as well now, seeing reports on his over association with women and buying expensive trinkets, and that makes me a true guru-hopper. I hereby end all my loyalty to GBC guidelines and Iskcon altogether. Of course all the money I gave is now officially gone. I want my money back !

[PADA: Right, you'd think by now the GBC would have a policy that their people should just worship Srila Prabhupada -- so that their people will not lose faith in ISKCON. But alas, they do not really care about ISKCON losing many or most of its citizens. At the same time, we are getting some questions about why the GBC is always spending millions on foolish projects like suing the Prabhupada devotees. Good question, these poor devotees are giving their money, then their money is going for foolish projects like suing anyone who worships Prabhupada? Then they wonder why people are losing interest in giving money ... and thus some temples are in very bad repair etc.? ys pd]

Nazi Pilot Reborn as an Englishman?

Devotees Kidnap The Belfast Deity?

Approximately between 23.00 hours on Monday, August 15th and 01.00 hours Tuesday, August 16th, UK time, the Deities Sri Sri Radha Madhava were removed from Their Temple in Belfast. A short time later a concerned community member, when seeing the Deities gone, contacted the police to report the Deities stolen. The police attended the scene, conducted their investigation and made a report. Some persons were questioned by the police at the Temple, and others in their homes near the Temple.

Apparently the Deities were 'officially scheduled' to be taken to the new (Hindu) Temple in Leicester UK on Aug 24th, against the wishes of many community members. Subsequently a group of concerned community members had sought legal advice and applied for a court injunction, to be served during business hours on Aug 16th, to stop the Deities removal until the issue was arbitrated through the courts.

It appears the court injunction was leaked, which precipitated the early, hasty and clandestine removal of Their Lordships! During the drama when the Deities were being secretly removed, allegations of verbal threats were traded between the pro and anti-camps. Sri Sri Radha Madhava have been worshiped in the Belfast Temple for 30 years.

[PADA: Right, this is very typical of the types of problems the GBC's guru program creates. Generally speaking, the GBC stops the devotee initiations process by forcing people to take initiations from one of their foolish messiahs -- instead of Srila Prabhupada, and then hardly anyone signs up and most people simply leave. And later, they might say "oh there is not enough poojaris and cooks here, lets move the deity and / or shut down the temple."

So this is very heart wrenching for the people who have been serving these deities. I know at least a few people who died shortly after they were not allowed to worship the deity anymore by the GBC's guru's thugee program.

Srila Prabhupada said we cannot invite Krishna and then move Him somewhere else or put Him in storage, but this problem seems to be happening more and more as the GBC's guru program disintegrates more and more. Meanwhile, our Prabhupadanugas program, especially in India, is bringing in more and more deities and getting them to be served and worshiped nicely.

No wonder then, the GBC is spending apparently $20,000,000 suing our devotees there to stop them from the process of worshiping the Krishna deity. If its one thing the GBC gurus have to stomp out -- its the people who are worshiping the deity of Radha and Krishna!

Thus the GBC has declared, "Spare no expense, get the Radha and Krishna deity worship eradication program going full blast." This is just another example of how their program disturbs the process of worship of Krishna. Of course this process was going on even when Krishna was here. Kamsa was attacking the devotees and trying to disturb their worship of the Lord.

Its the same process since time immemorial, and in fact Krishna was kidnapped and moved even way back then. Why does the GBC as a group apparently think Krishna is just a statue that you just move around like a living room lamp? More than a few devotee have told me that suing the Prabhupada devotees so they can kick out more the cooks and poojaris is actually one of the biggest expenses the GBC has, their court case to kick out all the servants of the deity is their main priority. And kicking out the devotees is more important than varnasrama, book printing, making temples or etc. In other words, the main priority of the GBC is to remove those who are serving Krishna. Same program as Kamsa, Ravana, Hiranyakashipu, the Muslim invaders, the British who said deities are stones, etc.

TEXT 28

Then, in Vraja, after five days, in the month of Bhadra (August-September), on the sixth day of the bright fortnight, when Mercury, five exalted planets, and the constellation Libra were on the horizon, at midday, as the demigods showered a beautiful rain of flowers and the clouds sprinkled drops of water, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, illuminating Nanda’s home with His splendor, was born from Vasudeva’s wife (Rohini).

Text 29

Nanda performed the child’s birth ceremony and gave in charity a million cows to the brahmaṇas. Then he called the gopas and observed a very auspicious festival with the music of many singers and instrumentalists.

Text 30

Coming there with Devala, Devarata, Vasistha, Brhaspati, and myself (Narada), Vyasadeva was pleased when Nanda washed his feet and worshiped Him in many ways.

Text 31

Śrī Nanda said: Who is this handsome boy, whose equal cannot be seen anywhere? How is it He was born after only five days (in the womb)? O great sage, please tell me.

Text 32

Śrī Vyāsa said: Nanda, you are very fortunate. This child is eternal Ananta Śeṣa. In Mathurā City He was conceived by Vasudeva in Devakī.

Text 33

By Lord Kṛṣṇa’s wish He was brought to beautiful Devakī. O King Nanda, you may see Him even though the great yogīs cannot.

Text 34
