ISKCON Bans Srila Prabhupada's Books

To PADA: SRILA PRABHUPADA's original books, the ones he made, he offered to Krishna, he delighted in, he encouraged to be distributed, and he read with us every day---- are now banned from ISKCON PROPERTY, at least in Alachua -- if not world-wide.

Dravinaksha das has a truckload of Srila Prabhupada's books and is looking for a place to park his truck as he and his wife were informed that the truck carrying these treasured books is NOT ALLOWED ON ISKCON's PROPERTY. Anyone who has any sympathy or delusions about "honorable intent of ISKCON devotees" is also on the royal road to hell with the people who made this demoniac edict.

COMMENT #1 What is wrong with these idiots in Alachua? The "retired Srila Prabhupada's disciple club" lets Jayadvaita strut around there like the king of the world, changing books while saying gurus are sex mongers. And they pat him on the back and do not even make a protest at the temple? No wonder we have these problems, the followers do not even care if their guru is being kicked out of his own temple.

Sounds like the demons are winning, for now anyway... Jaya Gaurasundara dasa

  1. Sounds like drama. There must be an issue with the truck and he is using the books to divert the truck issue. No books are banned.

  2. If it is true that Srila Prabhupada's original books are banned in
Iskcon then the GBC and their fellow followers are truly
ungrateful towards their founder acarya Srila Prabhupada and
as such deserve no respect. A case of killing the founder acarya
    and becoming the founder acaryas.

  3. How come Harivilas is not "monitoring" his bogus gurus and putting a stop to this? If he is the monitor of these gurus, he is not doing his job.

  4. Thanks Wyatt, now you are finally making some sense, they are klling the founder acharya.

    1. Ya, when one points out some bad practices or
improper things done by Iskcon/GBC, Yeah,
such persons comments are easily understood,
makes sense and are usually in good standing.

But when one points out that ritvik is a bogus
ideology, he is a meaningless fool or someone
lower than a worm in a stool.

      Typical karmi politician mentality.

  6. this is not the first time I have heard of banned items in Alachua. devotees have tried to sell things before that are similar to what the temple sells so they weren't allowed. one devotee already sells all sorts of books there that might even be on the GBC's banned books list. So why is this truckload of books being banned? Possibly because the temple wants to make big bucks off of Jayadvaita's bhagavad gita as it is and not srila Prabhupada's therefore they banned Prabhupada's books and don't even want any of his books around as a reminder in any way shape or form.

  7. HARE KRSNA--Srila Prabhupada's original books have been banned for many, many years now. This is really not a new issue.Worldwide,ISKCON temples ONLY SELL THE BHAGAVAD GITA AS IT IS NOT.Jayadvaita swami has formed his very own cult--just like Kirtanananda swami did. ALL GLORIES TO HIS DIVINE GRACE A.C.BHAKTIVEDANTA SWAMI PRABHUPADA--His books have saved this world and are the life and soul of all sincere devotees.

[PADA: Dear Wyatt, worship of the pure devotee is the standard not only for the ritviks but all bona fide religions teach that. If you want to start a new religion where you want us to follow and worship the GBC's illicit sex guru parampara, then you have to show us where that is authorized in shastra.

Just show us in shastra where we are told to worship illicit sex as acharyas, but you never do that? Maybe because, you cannot find any such thing in shastra?

So yes, worship of illicit sex makes one into a worm in stools in his next life, that is factually correct. Of course even the Bible teaches a similar thing, worship of the flesh takes one to Satan, same idea is in all religions. I am not sure where your worship of illicit sex religion is found anywhere? Jayadvaita swami says that in his GBC religion, they worship illicit sex gurus, so that is not part of any bona fide religion. You never show us where this is found, just show us and get it over with already! ys pd]

  10. My dear jiva (Mr. Wyatt), if you follow the four regulative principles and chant at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krsna Maha Mantra, with sincere and full dedication, as HDG A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada taught us, the dark clouds of confusion within your mind will clear away allowing for the bright sunshine of Krsna Consciousness fill your heart with the truth. My humble obeisances unto you, the Prabhupadanugas and everyone else. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to Their Lorships Sri-Sri Nitai-Gauranga! Hare Krsna!

  11. Just to clear any rumors, here is the exact letter from the GBC:
    October 6, 2013
    Dear Dravinaksa Prabhu,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

It was recently reported that a large quantity of books were delivered to your residence on the temple property. While we do not know the exact nature of the delivery, there is concern that these may be books published by KBI publishing.

I believe that this issue was previously addressed with you by the temple management. The North American Temple Presidents and GBC passed a resolution in 2009 prohibited KBI books on ISKCON property. The resolution reads, in part: “2. That KBI publications and books, including Bhagavad Gita, shall not be stored or located at or on, an ISKCON sponsored event or ISKCON facility.”

If we have mistaken information, please accept my apologies for this concern. If this is correct, please note that all books published by KBI must be removed from the temple property immediately. The Board of Directors and Temple Management has expressed great concern over this issue, and I am hoping it will be quickly resolved, without further action needing to be taken.

    Your servant,
    Tamohara das

So, yes we are looking for a place to move a large tractor trailer to store Srila Prabhupada's genuine books in Alachua. If you are willing to offer such facility contact me at dougyes@windstream.net.
    Your servant,
    Drav das

  12. Dravinaksa is the man! one of the few senior Prabhupada diksa disciples who actually cares about Prabhupada's vision of simple living and high thinking and is thus reflected thru his ACTIONS...all this garbage is so befitting of Kali yuga...demoniac infiltration
"It is a fact however that the great sinister movement is within our Society" [Letter to Hamsaduta 2 September, 1970] Jai Prabhupada!!!
    God help us
