Mahapurusha Das: Involve District Attorney in Philidelphia

[PADA: Devotees who have been mistreated in Philadelphia are being advised by Mahapurusha das to write to the District Attorney's office. We agree. ys pd]

The Situation at ISKCON Philadelphia

BY: MAHAPURUSHA DASA

After reading the articles written by Martin Luther and myself, I am confident that devotees of the Lord throughout the world get an idea of what is going on in ISKCON Philadelphia. It is a terrible and tragic situation and I feel horrible to be the bearer of more bad news.

The situation in ISKCON Philadelphia is very serious. Ravindra Svaurapa dasa (William H. Deadwyler, Ph.D.) is alleged to have committed aggravated assault in the City of Philadelphia. Aggravated assault that does not involve serious bodily injury is a second degree felony, punishable by up to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000. There is a substantial amount of evidence alleged in this accusation.

The other more important thing, however, is that I allege there has been witness intimidation. If so, this is a very serious crime, especially in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Actually, witness intimidation has recently become a federal offense in Pennsylvania. Witness intimidation is a major obstruction of justice, especially in violent crimes. Violent crimes, especially assault, are particularly reviled here in Philadelphia by the Justice system. Even more when they are committed by those in some kind of power. If a person is harassed and intimidated to prevent them from reporting a crime, this may also be considered witness intimidation.

I allege that both Ghandharvika dasi and Savitri dasi's testimony of events were both manipulated and distorted by both Ravindra Svarupa and ISKCON Resolve. Of course, other GBC were implicated, as the whole incident was reviewed by the North American GBC.

This my humble request of ISKCON Philadelphia: hand Ravindra Svarupa over to civil authorities. We want to resolve this issue. All of us want him out of power. Just call the police. Get a restraining order to protect Mother Savitri, and contact the District Attorney's Office of Philadelphia. I have been putting together all of this evidence against Ravindra Svarupa and I am about to present the evidence to them. They will then decide if there is enough evidence to warrant an investigation; this is standard procedure. These are very serious allegations and the authorities must be made aware of them. Obviously, ISKCON leadership is not prepared or qualified to deal with civil and criminal complaints. Putting your faith in ISKCON Resolve to solve this is ridiculous and naïve, especially when you see that they appear to be implicated in the whole situation. Most of them work at different jobs. This would never be acceptable anywhere. If the matter is taken to the authorities, I guarantee he will have to leave immediately and the congregation will not be left with some type of "pension".

Mother Ghandharvika: Everyone knows what happened. You were manipulated by your so-called guru and you need to come clean about what happened. Not only is this for your own sake, but for the ultimate benefit of the Krishna Consciousness Movement. How can you let him treat you like this? He has made you look like a coward, liar and fool. Everyone, including myself, will understand how Ravindra Svarupa, ISKCON Resolve and the GBC manipulated and lied to you. Please tell the truth.

To the GBC, ISKCON Resolve and Ravindra Svarupa dasa: You need confess your crimes and sins in this situation and maybe the Justice system and the Lord will take mercy on you. It is horrible and unconscionable how Ghandharvika and Savitri have been treated under the guidance of Ravindra Svarupa dasa. And I haven't even begun to formally make my own allegations of abuse, which are forthcoming and you are aware of. I allege that these events clearly show that ISKCON Resolve directly intimidated and manipulated the testimony and account of these women in regard to the abuse perpetrated by Ravindra Svarupa dasa. You should be forewarned that I plan to see all these allegations to the limit of justice in the service of Lord Krishna and Srila Prabhupada.

  1. Yes, totally agree with Mahapurusha dasa. The GBC is
not doing anything about it. So, its best and its high time
the devotees in Philadelphia take matter into their hand
and write to the District Attorney's office.

If they don't do it, this Ravindra Svarupa will continue with
his arrogant and I am God attitude. Remember your spiritual
life is in your hands. You decide at the time of death where
    you wish to go.

This so called leaders are there to help you to come to that
stage. If they can't do or do not want to do that, just throw
them out. This kind of suffering is not part of our spiritual life,
    getting kicked and beaten etc.

  2. The more I hear about such things the more I feel the present GBC is powerless to stop the corruption because the majority of them are too fallen to do a thing about it. The fact that Ravindra blatantly parades his girlfriend around the world on the Philadelphia Temple's dime and they do nothing about it shows how shameless not only Ravindra is, but how impotent the GBC is as well.
