Rejecting false gurus like Bali Maharaja

What Bali Maharaja did -- All ISKCON gurus, Gour Govinda maharaja followers, Narayana Maharaja folks, Shivarama swami and their Disciples Must Do, Go Ritvik Surrendering it All

by Gaurahari Das on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 7:02pm

“In this regards Srila Prabhupada clearly states that a devotee other than an uttama adhikari (pure devotee on the topmost platform of God-realization) can initiate.” (Sivarama Swami, CTP)

Gaurahari das: Oh, so is he saying he is uttama himself? It appears he is taking disciples. When did he follow Srila Prabhupada ritvik instruction even one day before taking disciples? Bhaktivinode thakur said in his treatise on Sadhu Ninda, “Even a Brahmin who does not follow strictly the order of their uttama adhikari Guru he remains on the neophyte platform." By his qualities of not following Srila Prabhupada's ritvik instruction and jumping over that order to initiate, we declare that Sivarama is a neophyte swami.

He is like all neophyte Gurus, Narayana Maharaja, Gour Govinda Maharaja, Gaudiya Matha so called Acaryas, all unclear about their own devotional position which is their symptom, otherwise they would have followed Bhaktisidanta's and Srila Prabhupada's ritvik instruction to first initiate on their behalf before jumping over the order which is the symptom false confidence of the neophyte who thinks, "I am a great Vaishnava like my Guru, and I can also do like him, and I am highly qualified." A madyama adhikari knows honestly his own devotional position because he loves his guru and is not competitive with him.

Without guile he loves and lives to serve Srila Prabhupada's ritvik order, glorifying, promoting it to bring disciples to Srila Prabhupada’s feet because Srila Prabhupada requested this as his final instruction -Bas. This is the unmotivated disciple, very rare to be like this, but Shivarama swami prabhu you are hopefully  getting on the right track now, just act appropriately become a ritvik initiator and be happy to be serving Srila Prabhupada as he asked to be served by his final ritvik instruction to you. He asked in this way to give him a glass of water, therefore now given him what he wants and not something else which is a third class to do so. Just be happy and clear that it’s the right thing to do to follow Srila Prabhupada's ritvik order because Guru asked for this to be done, Sastra confirms," The order of the Acarya is the active principal of spiritual life, disobeying it one becomes transcendentally useless." Adi lila 12th chapter.

Real Sadhus like Mahavirya das, an old Srila Prabhupada disciple, also confirms. All three checks and balances, Guru, Sadhu, and Sastra are here. What we are discussing and using a personality like Shivarama swami's example is very potent. Vaishnava means how to deliver the final deathblow to subtle hypocrisy and lack of crystal clarity of seeing everything as the real Acarya sees on the very highest levels discussed in our devotional literatures. I can only use a living example like Shivarama to do so because he is up there and almost all the way through and just needs this final push if he will accept this clear and proper proposal.

If one wants the truth more than anything else and is willing like Bali maharaja to sacrifice, immense wealth, prestige of being a false pure devotee, such a sincere disciple of Srila Prabhupada will sacrifice everything for it. If Shivarama and other Gurus, who have acted without authority against Srila Prabhupada’s ritvik order, does not see what we are logically presenting here and resists the truth, they are still in an obstruction, bewildered like Sucracharya was bewildered by subtle motivations for subtle material gain.

He tried to stop his disciple Bali Maharaja from serving the transcendental order of Vamana deva for Bali Maharaja to give this transcendental Brahmin everything. We have the same test come again in the form of the neglected true ritvik order of Srila Prabhupada asking Shivarma, Narayana Maharaja, Gour Govindia Maharaja, ISKCON Gurus to all give Srila Prabhupada everything that they consider to be their own but was actually taken from Srila Prabhupada against the authority of his ritvik instruction to them. The real fact now and it has always been case is that Srila Prabhupada is genuinely requesting that you give it all back to him and be satisfied just being a possession-less humble servant who cannot call anything, disciples, buildings, prestige, honor, money -- their own, in exchange for simply being his eternal sincere servant without guile. In exchange for this he will give the genuine pure bhakti dot com or engagement in the pure loving service of Krishna forever. You won’t be cheated as before.
If Shivarama and all these above mentioned Gurus ( Some dead) refuse to offer you who are actually Srila Prabhupada's disciples back to Srila Prabhupada's feet then you are free to follow the recommended path of Bali Maharaja and neglect your subtly motivated Gurus who may even curse you, and go yourself to Srila Prabhupada feet because he promises to give you all protection, guidance, and potency to serve him properly. Bali Maharaja was not acting independently.

Bhagavatam stated that he considered his real instructor his Grandfather Pralad Maharaja who knew these very same principals we teach here but are unknown to powerful Gurus like Sucracharya, Shivarama, Narayana Maharaja, Gour Govinda Maharaja, Jayapataka Maharaja which gave him the potency to surrender to real order of Krishna and not to those who cannot yet follow the transcendental order of Vamana deva or Ritvik order which demands everything to have that eternally transcendentally loving relationship with Krishna established. Therefore those of you who are the more intelligent disciples of all these mentoned Gurus now know the same clear truth that Bali Maharaja understood and you can now act following the same path of Bali that Bhagavatam describes.

Neglect Shivarama and all these Gurus order not to follow ritvik instruction and run in droves to surrender yourself back to Srila Prabhupada's feet your real master, savior and purifier. Showers of flowers that came upon Bali maharaja by following the true transcendental order of Vamana deva will come upon those who neglect the angry bluffs, rebukes and curses coming from motivated Gurus against following the transcendental Ritvik instruction of Srila Prabhupada, which is the real door to immortality.
Sivarama swami, all other Gurus, who made a mistake usurping what belongs to Srila Prabhupada, and their disciples have now heard the real truth logically presented here. If these Gurus are honest and intelligent they will admit their mistake, turn over their disciples to worship Srila Prabhupada's feet and be gloried with showers of flowers also. If they agree to follow the ritvik order they are immediately elevated to Madyama bhakta, if they resist the truth then follow Srimad Bhagavatam ordained plan B. If you’re intelligent like Bali Maharaja you will neglect your neophyte guru who refuses to serve without motive for personal gain the transcendental ritvik order of Srila Prabhupada.

No need for reinitiation, just consider your initiation ritvikly performed in the name of Srila Prabhupada even though your Guru was unclear of his own devotional position when he gave you initiation. This will please Srila Prabhupada immensely and no other way can you please him perfectly. Bringing yourselves and everyone else back as offering to Srila Prabhupada’s feet is even better than distributing books and bringing everyone back to the feet of usurping Gurus. Do this first then distribute books. Srila Prabhupada is meant to be the non duplicitous rock solid foundation all ISKCON’S activities in this world. On this foundation you will become a no nonsense truthful lion like preacher coming in the line of the original Lion like Lord Caitanya who roared loudly to drive away the elephantine offenses of this Kali Yuga. Time for a Revolution

(Based on a talk given by Sripada Bhakti Vikasa Swami, available at http://www.bvks.com/2011/11/time-for-a-revolution/)

If you really want to see iskcon a lot stronger than it is at present, and if you are ready to take part in a grassroots revolution, here is a program for you. It is non-political and non-controversial, easy to implement, and with negligible cost, yet it will benefit the whole society of devotees worldwide. The program is that all members of the Krsna consciousness movement should read all of Srila Prabhupada’s books.

Of course, many devotees are already reading Prabhupada’s books, but still, far too many are not. Numerous devotees who have been initiated for ten years or more, and are even brahmana-initiated, have not read all of Srila Prabhupada’s books, and apparently have never thought of doing so. They are depriving themselves of the nectar of Srila Prabhupada’s association and guidance—maybe due to lack of time, a sudra-like mentality (being preoccupied with working hard and earning money), having little interest in philosophy, wasting their life watching TV or on the internet, or reading other books apart from Srila Prabhupada’s. Not that going to websites or reading other books apart from Srila Prabhupada’s is necessarily wrong, but the focus should be on Srila Prabhupada’s books.

It is Srila Prabhupada’s books that will change the world, and it is Srila Prabhupada’s books that give solid understanding of Krsna consciousness. It is particularly through Srila Prabhupada’s books that we can make positive advancement and gain the strength to overcome maya. Srila Prabhupada’s books tell us how maya works, and give practical advice for overcoming maya. For instance, it seems that nowadays many devotees do not even know that they should not eat food cooked by nondevotees. But by reading Srila Prabhupada’s books, they will come to know.
