[PADA: Actually this is encouraging, the Indian government is defending Srila Prabhupada's Gita. This is very nice. Bravo. ys pd]

[Leader of the opposition party (the BJP) Sushma Swaraj today demanded in Lok shabha -THE BHAGAVAT GITA- be declared national book. She also demanded that the Indian government makes sure that Iskcon Gita is not banned in Russia.]

  1. So far only 35,000 signed the petition, although for ISKCON it is of utmost urgency. ISKCON claims of having 1 mio congregational members. So it seems this number is slightly exaggerated.

Russians are so rude because they did some research. Research which brought to light that ISKCON's Western status quo is chaotic. Europe, North America, trail of destruction.

They figured there wont be any support from Western countries. If ISKCON would be in good standing in US, the Russians would not behave like that.

In sum, ISKCON's false guru system is in a weak position. General public has no sympathy whatsoever, they don't give a damn if this movement would disappear forever.
