[PADA: Which is why -- Srila Prabhupada wanted the Hare Krishna religion to be very strong in the USA first of all, so that if problems emerged later in other countries -- ok like Hungary, pressure from USA and perhaps even USA government or state department could be applied to these other countries from here -- but only if we had a strong presence here. Instead, the GBC largely abandoned the USA and they focused elsewhere outside USA, and so there is hardly anyone here to pressure these attacks elsewhere . Yes, maybe its time the Goverments around the world should start scrutinizing the Hare Krsna movement and ban them if necessary. Its the goverment duty to protect its citizens from unscrupulous religious leaders / people. With the amount of abuse of children, women and practicing devotees, the misuse of the philosopy and collected funds, the lying and cheating by dishonest religious Gurus and their diciples,

could not or cannot be corrected from within maybe
can be done from without.
When Sivarama Swami writes, "ISKCON Hungary is facing shut down by government" you can be sure that this is a maneuver.
ReplyDeleteEuropean governments dont want a state within the state and since in Hungary they have so many people joining Prabhupada's farm life, the government wants to stop it. And Sivarama Swami functioning as governmental executor to stage manage a collapse of the yatra.
Rank&file to run off in all directions. Same what Harikes did, within 2 weeks to crash a yatra with 3500 devotees.
What to learn from it, Vaishnavism could not manage to convince people that it is an indispensable component to counteract degraded western societies.
Politicians figure if there is a way to kick them out the country forever lets do it immediately.
Prabhupada on the ther side, he wanted that people are getting convinced that Vaishnavism is solving the problems of materialistic governements and should be supported.
Poor preaching performance by present ISKCON leaders - too much personal interest instead of focusing general welfare.
