Abused women syndrome / Stockholm syndrome

PADA: Thanks BK Ralph. Yes you are right, after being beaten up and down the street by many of the GBC's "gurus," then some people -- who are actually victims of the GBC gurus -- turn around and say, hey lets support Bhakta dasa and his cheer leading of the GBC's gurus program! Lets promote Bhakta's program of the worship of the Gaudiya Matha's usurpers and singing the glories of Kirtanananda's and Tamal's samadhis!

You are correct BK Ralph, this is like a woman who is in an abusive relationship. The story of the woman you told us is quite a good example. She would get beat up, even bloodied, cry all day long, and then at night, she would still crawl into bed with her abuser, thinking he was her best friend, protector and lover.

This may also be related to Stockholm syndrome, where people end up loving their vicious kidnappers. Yes, this means there is a major psychological breakdown going on here. Agreed. And yes, that is one of the reasons we had to go outside to expose this program. You are right, there is a major psychological co-dependency issue here, which is very destructive for both the abusers and the abused, because they both spiral down into lower modes of self-destructive behavior. Very good analysis.

In any case, Sulochana said we will have to go outside these two groups, the abusers and the abused, the cheaters and the cheated, and take our story to the outside, because the people in the grips of these two modes of behavior are often stuck there for a long time, maybe their whole lives. So yes, that explains why we had to go external. In any event, you hit it out of the ballpark, this entire situation is the result of major psychological problems. Agreed. ys pd

  1. Bhakta das is not credible. He was running a huge designer drug program. Why are they accepting Bhakta? And working with with Bhakta when he supports the GBC gurus? They have battered devotee syndrome. Anyway they are not going far by making Bhakta their spokesman.
