PADA: Very nice service. There is a lot of friction going on among the ISKCON leaders over there -- "which side is right." For example it turns out one of the big Ukraine leaders was a Russian citizen and he had no Ukraine passport so he had to go back to Russia.
Various statements made by GBC leaders have been changed, withdrawn, amended and so on. They are struggling. Meanwhile we got another report from the region that a "senior Prabhupada disciple" was abusing young men there -- and despite being reported to the GBC -- nothing was done.
It looks like Krishna is cleaning up the mess in other ways. At the same time, we know there are sincere people there and we wish the best for them.
Yep, Russians just blew up a big church, huge crater right in the center. And it was only a stroke of luck that the congregation was scheduled to come there for a festival a few hours later, and they were not there yet. Blowing up people worshiping God, and / or their places of worship, is important "to make the world more secure." Always the same thing with these guys. Is the world any more secure now that their church is a pile of rubble? Ummm, nope. ys pd
