The root of it goes into the 11 at the top having usurped the Guru position, and then making it the norm to USE the guru-authority to empower those who worshipped them as-good-as-god -- to then drive out from the temples all who would not worship them with blind faith, especially the disciples of Srila Prabhupada who could see right through their farce.

So that became the norm. Keeping THEIR PERSON in charge was all important, and good administration was never a concern, because they had acted as HEIRS & INHERITORS of Srila Prabhupada's assets (becoming the new owners they were & are free to do as they like with the assets, when the truth is -- they were merely replaceable Trustees! Srila Prabhupada made it crystal clear in his DEFINITION of the GBC that the person who happens to be Trusted is not important, and that whatever power he has came to him only from Srila Prabhupada THROUGH the Trust.

This would apply equally well to the BBT.

So it has been our own silence collectively that has allowed them to STEAL the assets of Srila Prabhupada (Books by the BBTI Inc and Temples / Manpower by the 'Iskcon GBC Society West Bengal') right under our noses.

We are acting as irresponsible Trust Beneficiaries so long as we don't unite to replace them with new Trustees who shall be under our collective control. We are betraying the Trust Srila Prabhupada placed in us.

Whatever resolutions they passed that were not authorised or within the limited powers given to them by Srila Prabhupada is not binding upon us. We have foolishly allowed this "Vaishnava culture" of obeying Guru and respecting sannyasis to enable them

WE ARE THEIR ENABLERS! When we wake up to this, their days in power are numbered. It really is as simple as that! Just have faith in the Trusts Srila Prabhupada set up and reset everything exactly back to the way HDG set it up - put in new Trustees and monitor and control them - this in one stroke we shall undo all this ness they have done.

Let each and every temple hold their own elections and there will be a fairly smooth transition of power after 3 to 4 elections at best! Truth, Srila Prabhupada and Lord Nrsimha are on our side. So win we must!

It is only A) our sectarian HATRED for each other that is making us cause pain to Srila Prabhupada; & B) our desire to also control the process of initiation which they now have - either to give so-called diksha or to stop it -- these keep us divided and block us from acting rationally!

Solution for A) is love every human who loves Srila Prabhupada and respect their differences of opinions and affiliations with other entities.

Solution for B) is

Realise that what Institutions call Diksha is not real Diksha but mere branding / institutional rubber stamping born of the fear of losing all manpower to 'the enemy camp'! Have faith... Krishna and Srila Prabhupada will pay your bills. And if they want to close down your temple or centre, let it go but don't stop chanting hare Krishna!

A deeper analysis of this big problem that we have ALL imbibed from the GBC is our desire to interfere with and control the process of initiation... when in truth it is a personal relationship between two consenting adults just like marriage.

Why do we do this? How did we get infected? Because the current system misUSES Guru Order to control the manpower and run the temple, instead of using the simple democratic process that Srila Prabhupada gave us in the DOM - conduct local elections with no GBC interference to elect TP, Secretary and Treasurer. Whoever they take initiation from shall have nothing to do with the stability of our temple. ~

If we just act purely in Krsna consciousness and treat each other with love and respect, then millions will be attracted to the movement of Srila Prabhupada! We have to keep JDG in the centre and dissolve this present groups-of-personality-cults that it has DEGENERATED into!

PADA: Yep, we enabled them by our compliance and acquiescing. Agreed. Many good points here. Everything starts with an informal seed group, or a steering committee, that has cohesion, and holds regular meetings to work out the details of reviving the original system.
