Y Dasi: In elevating the victims as devotees, let us take a step back and reconsider the concept of Vaishnava aparadh, and the fact that in the Kali Yuga, the bulk of us are aspiring Vaishnavas. Let’s keep in mind the times we are living in, and careful assessment of scriptures is necessary to aid us in our discrimination of who is a Vaishnava and who is a pure Vaishnava, and who does not have the favor of the Lord.
Regarding the phrase krsna krpa hoileo ("even though he may receive Krishna's mercy"), Srila Saraswati Thakur comments:
“People may think that because an offender appears to continue to chant without difficulty, the Lord must still favor him, but they are wrong. The Lord is not even slightly moved by their sham devotion.”
Srila Prabhupada writes:
“Even if one is a Vaishnava, if he commits offenses to the Holy Name, he becomes unfit to render pure devotion. Although it may appear that he is still being shown favor by the Lord as he continues to make a show of chanting without difficulty, the Lord is actually very displeased with him because of his antagonism toward devotees. Therefore, to give up nama-aparadha we must first give up sadhu-ninda or finding fault with devotees.”
Mahaprabhu also quotes Hari-bhakti-sudhodaya:
“A Brahmin's sins are burnt to ashes by the powerful fire of krsna-bhakti. Whereas if a Vedic scholar is an atheist, he is derided. Anyone devoid of devotion may take birth in a great family or nation, have extensive knowledge of the scriptures, perform austerities, or chant Vedic mantras, but such things are like ornaments on a dead body. Only fools will be impressed.”
Vrindavan Das says,
“In Kali-yuga, demons will be born in smarta Brahmin families to harass and torture the righteous devotees of the Lord. The demons choose Kali-yuga to be born in, so they can torment those rare persons who adhere to the path enunciated by the Vedas (sruti ). They viciously attempt to disrupt the devotee's service to the Supreme Lord.”
Srila Saraswati Prabhupada writes in his Anubhasya commentary:
“Although one who has completely renounced the world (akincana ) and one who is completely sheltered in Krishna (saranagatah ) may appear to be the same externally, the devotee who has given up the world has also offered his soul. At the time of initiation, the devotee gives up material conceptions while he begins to understand sambandha-jnana, one's eternal relationship with God and those who are part of the family of God.
"When the devotee gives up the shelter of maya, he takes shelter of Krishna and is Krishnized. At this stage, the devotee's delusion as enjoyer of material pleasures dissipates, and his real self merges with his new identity as an eternal servant of Krishna. The devotee attains his spiritual body (sac cid ananda svarupa )and his eternal service to Krishna, serving him in his own transcendental form. The pure devotee's ecstatic service is an elevated stage of devotion which is often misinterpreted and misunderstood by those unacquainted with the science of devotion. For this kind of aparadha one is deprived of the shelter of a Vaishnava guru." (Anubhasya, Caitanya-caritamrta, Antya 4.193)
Finally,
“When people reject materialism and conduct their lives under my direction, they attain immortality. They become eligible to be with me and share spiritual emotions (rasa) with me in their spiritual identity." (Srimad-Bhagavatam 11.29.34)
PADA: Yep, some victims told me, "normal people treat their dogs way better than we were treated. The leaders did not value us as much as ordinary people value their dogs." I could not argue that point with them. I also do not believe "the leaders did know these things were going on." I believe I was targeted for pointing out these "things are going on," to try to silence me.
And that is why when one big sannyasa saw me at Rathayatra, he said "Holy sh*t, you still walking around the planet? You should be six foot under by now." Yep, nice to see you too maharaja. I should be six foot under evidently, so they can exploit others without restriction. ys pd
Y Dasi: This issue is also that not everyone is supposed to be a leader, some leaders are not supposed to be in leadership positions so long, and leaders require training and a system of checks and balances. The leaders of this system tend to have zero training, and become autocrats. They also accept a mode of materialism, which does not give them an agency to be worshipped.
PADA: Yep, but even every ordinary mundane person knows that children need to be treated with kindness, have their basic material needs met, have proper teachers and not predator teachers, not have to be forced to worship predator deviants as their gurus, not to be beaten and molested, and so on. This is common knowledge known to any normal adult person anywhere on the planet, with zero training.
I am not a trained person, but I would never dream of treating children in this manner, and neither would nearly cent percent of the adult population of the USA. The people mistreating children do not necessarily lack training, but they do lack basic human feelings and discrimination, and that is why some folks say they are narcissistic psychopaths, predator enablers etc. and they are not up to the standard of an ordinary moral human being. Even the media people told me, they do not worry about mistreating anyone, either Krishna's children or Krishna's adults, because, they are not Krishna's devotees. ys pd
Y Dasi: Prabhupada made us understand that they are Vaikuntha children, and yes I agree with you. If they are Vaikuntha children, Prabhupada even told us in Goloka there is no sex (or materialistic sex). So, sexual abuse is off limits on all fronts; because our aim is always to go back to Krsna, to Krsna’s planet, and this abuse doesn’t happen there. So, these so called teachers are merely entangling themselves in demonic behavior. They won’t go to Goloka, but to hellish planets.
YD Dasi: I think they have "training," let us in bring very coarse thugs and attack the Vaisnavas!
================
PADA: Right, when I said there is an abuse problem, I got booted out of the society in 1979 by the gang of four gurus. "Sue us in court" they said. OK fine, so I had them sued for abuse in 1986 for $3,000,000, and later on sued after 1997 for $400,000,000. I also heled with documents for the Karnataka case, and helped the BBTI case.
All told, disciples of Jayapataka wrote to me and complained I cost them $100,000,000 in legal fees. Then they said, why didn't you work this out internally? Because there is no such thing as them listening to me internally, this is self evident a myth. A society that has no internal system of checks and balances -- because there are a few policy makers at the top, making top down decisions and not listening to us minor league peons, is overly centralized.
And also, will be bankrupted in short order for not paying attention to these issues, as happened. In other words, they wanted to spend $100,00,000 rather than listen to us. So that is the result of an overly centralized top down management system, it loses touch with the underclass -- to its peril.
I worked for a Fortune 500 company that had every six months a huge meeting with all of us, including the janitors, asking for suggestions how things could be run better. So even a lower tier person like me could raise issues, because they understood that the underclass are their eyes and ears on the bottom levels, and all levels need to operate simultaneously. And sure enough, they would often appreciate our suggestions, and that is how actual management works normally. ys pd
And exactly who gets protected over there?
