Well Meaning ISKCON Disciple Wants PADA's Help

PADA: A well meaning Jayapataka disciple wrote to tell me -- now is the time for me to start to write to ISKCON's Anuttama, the sannyasa ministry, and other ISKCON leaders to help them deal with the molesting issue and to start to heal the situation. Evidently, this person has no idea -- those of us addressing the issue are often banned, beaten, sued and sometimes -- assassinated -- and for the past 46 years. Yep, clearly in the fog and out of the loop of factual events. 

This is sad because it shows how the GBC often hides information. Also explains why they booted me off the "Mayapur open forum," because these people have a lot to hide, and they want to keep it suppressed and hidden. That way they can keep their subjects in the dark, like this poor soul who is evidently clueless about what has been happening. 

They don't want to have an informed class of people, because then their worship of pedophiles as messiahs process would come to an end. So it is always the same thing, all hands on deck, let us save the pedophile pooja process. And that means, mis-informing the subjects, and suppressing anyone with factual info. That process seems to be unravelling because, the truth always prevails, even if it takes a lot of time to emerge. The fact this person is writing me at all shows that the walls of disinformation are caving in, albeit gradually. Anyway, here are a few comments I made on this issue:    

PADA: Before the devotees started getting sick from the virus a few years back, Jayapataka was demanding another $1,000,000 for his lawsuit against Bangalore at the Mayapur meeting, after he had already spent $20,000,000 suing Bangalore. And Bangalore's crime was, they did not want to legally be part of the GBC of West Bengal, because in part -- of all the molesting etc. going on there, which carries legal implications etc. 

The followers of JPS already wrote me nasty notes that my helping fight their lawsuits has cost them in total $100,000,000 already. It is a little astonishing that now they are saying, we need to raise funds for the CPO, when they already applied $100,000,000 to their fund to buy new Mercedes for lawyers. Making children the priority here is way overdue. 

Worse, Mayapur's Dayaram said he wanted to spend "$1,000,000 per year over the next 100 years suing Bangalore." Where does Srila Prabhupada say we should spend $200,000,000 buying Mercedes for lawyers, and not on securing safe haven places for the children of ISKCON? If that money had been spent on children and not lawyers, we would not be where we are today. And 40 years of abuse happened because of suppressing the child abuse complaints all along, suppressing the CPO is simply part of their process. 

Of course something is better than nothing, and we should be glad there is some progress / awareness. ys pd

The GBC has not had any interest in discussing anything with me since 1978. I told them I cannot have my children worshiping sexual predators who are offering LSD to the shalagram in 1979, and Jayapataka kicked me out. I told them there are molesting problems at Mayapur in 1980. They did not care. I started writing a newsletter in the mid 1980s, often mentioning the abuse, and they ignored me. I helped a woman sue ISKCON in Dallas in 1986 for $3,000,000 for molesting her two boys, and they called me a demon. 

Shortly after that they had one of my associates untimely departed, and the same hit people would have got me taken down untimely, except the FBI intercepted them, by tapping the New Vrndavana phones. Then they told me to take them to court. So we did, had them sued this time for $400,000,000. 

During the court case. the big leaders were all standing on the sidewalk on Watseka when I was riding my bike there, and they never talked to me once at all, they just gave me vulture glares. Then after all that, the Jayapataka people sent me insulting e-mails that I had cost ISKCON $100,000,000. Then Mayapur's Dayaram said he would spend another $100,000,000 suing Bangalore over the next 100 years, so the Mayapur people wanted the legal expenses to balloon to be $200,000,000. 

Some of the leaders of the GBC ministries came to Berkeley and started shouting and me and told me they are never going to speak to me again, and they have not. Now I was just kicked off the Mayapur open forum. In other words, the ball is in their court. If they want to discuss with me, they should. 

Meanwhile I am making two mass media stories that will be on public TV. And the media folks are asking me how these GBC people treat me after all this. Meanwhile some woman is writing to us that Anuttama destroyed her life and she wants to sue him, but she lives in the Baltic area and she is asking us for help. Why are people writing to us for help -- instead of them? 

Because the leaders are not listening to the citizens. 

So I am always ready to discuss, but if their policy is to ban, beat, remove me, have me chased with bats, and have me threatened, harassed, insulted ... and worse if they could, they do not seem to have any interest in dialogue. So my best option all along is to work with the police, FBI, courts and media, because those people are actually interested in helping me. 

And without their help, I would not be here. When Jayapataka saw me sitting accross the street from Watseka after I got the court case going, he ran out of them temple screaming at me and ran right up to me with a ferocious look. He really wanted to punch me probably, but then he knew I would call the cops and press charges. That is the only reason I survived, the police were looking out for me there and they kept pulling me over on my bike around Watseka, hee hee. ys pd

PADA: I am not so sure that the people escaping "the controversy" are really escaping fully. My good friend (a Christian Nurse with decades of "dealing with the dying") reviews my reports of so many devotees getting things like cancer, and she believes there is a psychological repression of anger and / or negative emotions that is causing this issue around the devotee community, in addition to the sometimes serious drug and alcohol problems etc. 

And she also thinks some of the child abuse, spousal abuse, abusive language to others etc. is also connected to people having repressed emotions and anger management issues etc. In sum, she does not believe people are really escaping by avoiding, at least not fully, nor is the community collectively. And this is probably the same reason Krishna told Arjuna, if you avoid the battlefield, you will still be afflicted by this war, therefore avoiding it will not be helpful. 

In short, we have to confront evil, or it will consume us in other forms. And another result is, the community gets a poor report card in the public media image, and then ALL devotees have to suffer trying to look good when the overall situation does not look so. Another ex-kuli told me recently, it is a fact, we are the burnt ladhus, and as long as the people who burnt us ladhus are in seats of authority, we will not be able to participate. That should be a warning to us all, avoid burning the ladhus at all costs ... ys pd
