Gopinath Bhavan / Jayapataka's Istagosthi Plan

RE: Paramadvaiti at Gopinath Bhavan

Dear Devotees Hare Krishna

My affectionate Pranams

Jaya Sri GuruGauranga!

Sri Radha Gopinath.

Gopinath Bhawan was hosting this Festival, but the all organisation and invitations were made by all Gaudiya Maths.

There are so many things I would like to share with you. But know that most of us are disturbed by him coming also everyday to Mangala arati and imposing himself as the Jayadvani leader.

Personally I always leave the Temple as soon as I notice his presence. He still has his disciples in Vrindavan worshiping and following him everywhere. It is very painful and difficult. He has taken shelter of Gopananda Maharaja from Pujyapada Van Maharaja Gaudiya Math therefore he feels reinstated in his position. He sometimes dances also in front of us like if nothing happened. I feel so upset and disgusted, I just leave quickly. HARE KRISHNA!

PADA: He has taken shelter of the Narayan Maharaja folks and feels reinstated? And yes I have seen the image from the video where he has what looks like an almost naked 6-7 years old girl on PVS lap. Why is anyone facilitating this guy? Oh I forgot, the NM people are upset with me for not hugging Kirtanananda with them. angel108b@yahoo.com

From: Jayapataka swami

Dear members of the Mayapur grhastha community, please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Nabadvipa-dhama is Audarya-dhama, the land of coming. However, Lord Caitanya never tolerated Vaisnava aparadha. Violence of various types, be it sexual, physical, psychological, pastoral, domestic, etc. etc., are extensive aparadhas.

We want our community to be fully protected from any kind of crime.

Therefore, on behalf of our co-directors, I am convening the ishtagosthas so that we can come together and uncover and find solutions to this problem. We want to make the community gathering in Mayapur 100% violence free.

Our only intention and desire is to serve the society, to serve all of you Vaishnavas. We want to listen to you so you can see that your voice is heard so that together we can create a community that Srila Prabhupada will be proud of.

Ishtagosthi will take place on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Srila Prabhupada's Samadhi Auditorium starting at 11:00 am. The meeting will be in English with translation into Russian. Please come, we need to hear from you. Please accept this invitation on behalf of all co-directors.

your servant,

Jayapataka Swami

PS: Ishtagosthi in Bengali with Hindi translation takes place on a different day. Details of the announcement will be published soon.

PA: Thank you Jaypataka swami. I spoke to you in 92 in Bhubaneswar and begged you to promise and vow on Krishna's lotus feet you would remove those that had raped me. However when you found out who it was you were less interested and said you would do what you could, which was nothing.

V DASA: Can you please mataji explain how JAS is also involved?

DD: Enough is enough!

JD: Risking condemnation, I hazard a heavy: those who ignore, or even watch, but do nothing; those who stand by for years fraternising with abusers, but who claim they never knew anything; those who publicly offer protection and support, yet at the moment of need hide behind a wall of silence are the complicit enablers who perpetuate the ills that are rotting the movement from the inside out....

AP Devi Dasi: Guru Maharaja is trying to help. He is making a step forward towards devotees. They should come to him and work together. This is commendable. Let us appreciate every effort towards solution and not just continue raging (although that's completely justified) without a dialogue with the GBC.

VJ Dasa: The ''angry mob'' wants the perpetrators in jail and expelled from our house. Maharaja is in a very delicate situation for supporting, maybe against his will, those crimes, past and present. Just like the war in Ukraine where USA is involved, we are in a very dangerous situation, for Iskcon and the world. A spark can set a huge fire.

AP Devi Dasi: I also want to see the criminals expelled from ISKCON and am angry too! I don't know if guru maharaja supported the abusers or looked the other way or his hands were tied. Nevertheless, I have read enough documents in this group to write a letter to him, asking him many questions about the whole history of Mayapur abuse, his actions or lack of them, some GBC members interfering in CPO work and lobbying for Wexler and the future of ISKCON.

I am awaiting his reply, as he is now busy with the whole situation. Yes, let us clean up our own house. I see his invitation as a step in that direction. Of course, that doesn't exculpate him for any neglect of his duties or mistakes.

PA: I'm happy that Maharaj wants to help. I do know that he's one of the few who does listen and empathise. What worries me is that not many would feel comfortable to open up to Him, too close to home. An independent facilitator must be there besides Maharaj.

Mayapur devotees have been, pretty much under a spell, that of fear and oppression and the need to conform to the authorities, due to societal pressure, that have had the power to manipulate the crowd. The 'Plebe' needs a support person who was not involved in the ' Ostrich effect ' of any sort.

Also rage, or anger for a better word is one of the basic 6 emotions. And I don't think you can dictate that. People are owners of their own feelings and emotions. People should feel rage at this stage, it is normal.

MM: Is nice that he wants to meet with the Congregation but we the congregation are not the problem or the solution. He needs to get every sanyasi every GBC every school head master every school teacher in one room and explain that kids must be protected at all times. Tell them to keep their hands out of our children!

Then fire ALL those that knew of abuse and kept quiet and call the police on those that perpetrated abuse on kids and fired them perpetually from the institution… then, maybe we as a congregation can sit together and find solutions and ideas on how to heal! He needs to meet with law enforcement and clean house, then meet with us later.

PM: Unfortunate, the criminals would include him. As the main GBC living there for over 40 years he’s as responsible as any for not doing anything and covering up. I know he has an empathetic side and can also be a nice person. I know he’s also helped some devotees. All those things are true. But he was effectively the ceo of Mayapur and I don’t but the latest arguments I’m hearing about people’s guru or friends which are “ he did all he could” or “ he couldn’t do anything”. That’s simply not true.

MM: So be it! If they get rid and send to prison all the offenders that is already a big step. Without that it is not a strong message.

GS: JPS could offer to all women who have been regularly beaten in Mayapur to contact him personally and he could then intervene. He could impress upon parents to train their children in pÅ•otecting themselves and immediately reporting suspicious behavior by adults. And informing him too about any indications so he can intervine or engage others to check things.

I do not see any alternative to monitoring carefully. And the leader must be involved, directly and regularly. Such istagostis should be regular.

SV: Very nice observation, prabhu! So many hide their missmanagement and some their nefarious activities behind "any critique is automatically vaishnava apparadha and fault - finding." We hear so much about this in ISKCON. In fact, this pointing fingers at people who are vocal about mistakes of management, accusing them of being fault-finders and apparadhis has become a dominant tactic to avoid justified criticism.

SP said in BG:"if you call a thief a thief, this is NOT fault-finding"

But time and time again, people who were pointing out mistakes in the management, were silenced or discredited by accusing them of being fault-finders. Finally but unfortunatelly, it took a big scandal like BVPS case to shake things up and finally wake up the mass of devotees to reality, which is that terrible missmanagement (or worse) was going on by allowing (in the name of forgiveness and mercy??) the micreants of all sorts to live in high positions in ISKCON in hope they will stop their nonsense behaviour.

All this in the name and for the sake of "not criticising and not commiting vaishnava apparadha" But what about the victims?? Even offending a sincere vaishnava is a very serious offence, not to even speak of causing pain to devotees by abuse. (remember Durvasa muni and Ambarisha maharaja. It is bad even if offended devotee is NOT a pure devotee, but sincere).

So thank you prabhu - excellent point!

Hare Krisna!

KE: ummmm when they gonna ban lokanath? bhavananda? or any others on the loooong list of violent and / or sexual offenders? Or enablers? Is this…. is this a another joke?

LS: They should ALL be in jail.

PL: Let's see... What will be. I think it would be watched carefully by global vaishnava community....

MG: I think JPS is finally feeling some burning sensation under his feet and will try to get out clean of the situation. If somebody is nm 1 responsible for this situation than is this guy, JPS himself.

EW: Yes.

KL: That's how a society looks like when it's ruled by sudras. Ksatriyas would not have been able to tolerate all these nonsense.

PA: Real kshatriyas are rare.

AS: Will the residents bring up Bhavananda and Shatadhanya etc. in that meeting?

LP: Why this guy isnt in the jail???

GG: If Jayapataka tries to put anyone in jail they will give him up and expose all the crimes there in Mayapur.

PADA: When I was helping having the GBC sued for $400,000,000 for mass child abuse, Jayapataka was giving class in Los Angeles temple, while I sat on the apartment steps across the street. When he came out of the temple, he saw me sitting there and he charged at me screaming very loudly, and he is a very big formidable sized guy. I thought he was going to physically attack me. But he just stood there scowling and breathing hard, realizing if he attacked me I would call the cops. He has had no interest in meeting with us whatever in all this time. Then he spent $20,000,000 suing Bangalore, because they did not want to sign a legal document that they are subordinate to the GBC of West Bengal, and the Bhakti Vidya Purna fan club. Now all of a sudden he wants to discuss all this, after he avoided for 46 years, and his followers blasted me for causing $100,000,000 legal fees, because they can only talk to lawyers, not us? ys pd
