PADA: A devotee wanted to thank me for introducing him to Aindra's works, and he said he never would have heard about Aindra without our blog. That is nice. I am not 100 percent in agreement with everything Aindra was saying, yet overall he did understand these main points:
(A) That ISKCON is supposed to be all about promoting the holy name, and its not doing so widely -- due to corrupt leadership.
(B) ISKCON is promoting false gurus, and neophytes should not take the diksha guru post.
(C) ISKCON is turning into a mundane corporate guru figurehead process.
(D) Rasika efforts for us neophytes is premature, but it is nice to know that is the goal.
(E) Pretty sure he agreed with "no book changes."
(F) He said he had to try to revive the kirtan spirit, that means some folks had minimized and suppressed, and / or in many cases totally wiped out the kirtan spirit in a number of large cities.
Anyway, we think that the GBC was trying to give him the boot from the Vrndavana temple and that is somehow or other -- part of the process of his untimely demise. In any case, he did remind us all that chanting the holy names is the main function of a devotee, and that type of preaching is highly appreciated.
I felt that Aindra was in a dangerous place due to the type of preaching he was doing, and I wanted to warn him to get out of there. Apparently, too little too late. And he probably would not have wanted to leave in any case, he felt that was his dharma. Anyway it is what it is, but his kirtans and classes are still available and hopefully that will benefit some folks ongoing.
