Gaura Govinda in Hell? / ISKCON's Kirtanananda Worship

PA: My vision after Gaura Govinda Maharaja passed is -- he was collected by Krishna and taken straight to hell. I've returned many times to temples where he is speaking Srimad Bhagavat Purana and speaking Krishna Katha. I am reminded of Kshiti Garbha ... a Bodhisattva who chooses to return to hell after every birth and all the other Bodhisattva follow his example.

Goura Govinda swami said repeatedly he would have to go straight to hell as he would be suffering for each and every sin of all his disciples ... and that the sins would all fall on his head and that Krishna was beating him repeatedly for every sinful act his disciples did. He talked about what kind of disciples he had ... engaged in illicit affairs and even abusing children and giving lip service lying to him and that he would personally have to go drag them from his position in hell.

PADA: Yes, first of all, Srila Prabhupada said none of us can take sins. Some people keep saying, "Oh Mr. PADA, get over it already! You need to stop discussing GBC people taking karma." Well hee hee, they are talking about it themselves. Evidently, also some folks agree ... we can wind up in hell for taking said sins. Even if we only might go to hell for taking sins, why risk that?

KIRTANANANDA IS STILL BEING WORSHIPED AT NEW VRINDABAN

ISKCON New Vrindaban keeps a picture of child sexual abuser Kirtanananda in their pujari room. This picture is placed on the puja tray and brought onto the altar when Kirtanananda’s disciples offer arati to the Deities.

My question to the ISKCON New Vrindaban GBC, Regional Secretary, Directors, Temple President, Managers, Pujaris & Community Members:

How is it that Kirtanananda was expelled from ISKCON in 1987 and yet he is still being worshiped in an ISKCON temple THIRTY-SIX years later?

The ISKCON Law Book (2009) states:

“There should be no public worship of a guru who is under suspension by the GBC.”

and

“While performing arati to the Deities a disciple of a suspended guru should offer the various articles through Srila Prabhupada to the disciplic succession.”

These GBC Resolutions make it clear Kirtanananda’s photo should not be on any altar in any ISKCON temple. Any disciple of Kirtanananda (or any guru not in good standing) must make their offerings through Srila Prabhupada.

A simple practice of enforcing common-sense ISKCON laws can be a huge step towards communities showing they care about children.

PHOTO: At New Vrindaban's 2022 Govardhan Puja festival, Shalagrama dasi offered arati with a picture of Kirtanananda on the altar. During the month of Damodara when Vaishnavas honor Krishna as a baby, one of the most high-profile child sexual abusers in ISKCON was being worshiped on the altar.

We're not talking about sexual activity between two CONSENTING adults. We are talking about Kirtanananda using his power as a spiritual authority to prey upon and take advantage of innocent CHILDREN. It is illegal, and it is a crime. If you ask hardened criminals who is the worst of the lot, they will tell you the child molesters. The child molesters are the ones in prison who are singled out and beaten, and who are often placed in isolation for their own safety.

PADA: Is this the same Shalagram Dasi who was recently charged with twisting a child's ear? Oh yeah, what about the Kirtanananda samadhi project? ys pd

  1. MD: That means Gaura Govinda Maharaja knew he was being burdened by taking sins, and this would take him to hell. That means he also knew ... when he told the other GBC gurus they could also take sins ... he was burdening them. And all of them will end up in hell. Even Satsvarupa's art shows us ... he is already living in hell.

That means they are knowingly going to hell and taking many others with them. Srila Prabhupada says lower beings come to this planet to recruit others to go back down to the lower planets, it is amazing that sometimes ... they even admit that. I agree with Srila Prabhupada, none of you should take sins, and if you do you will suffer. And going to hell is part of the suffering they will have to endure. Who would want to take karma from Kali Yuga citizens without having the potency to deflect these sins? They are fools ... and so are their followers. The followers are going to find out soon enough ... he could not take their sins either ... as they land on Yamaraja's planets ....

  2. SD: Update : Photo of Kirtanananda has been "removed." Thank you New Vrindaban leadership/management for listening and caring.

PADA: Yup. That means our campaigns are making an impact.
