Help Needed for Padmapani Prabhu

https://www.gofundme.com/z7xe9vju

[PADA: I met him once, and exchanged correspondence with him. Such a nice guy. Its always amazing to us at PADA how the GBC's gurus feels that its fine and dandy to pour millions, and millions, and did we forget to mention -- more millions -- down their legal rabbit hole, and yet there never seems to be any "extra funds" leftover to help these poor and practically destitute devotees?

These humble and sincere devotees did so much service, while some of these "big shot gurus" were at the same time living in Howard Johnson motels ordering take out pizzas with a side order of two liters or Pepsi, and watching football.

These Howard Johnson Motel "gurus" even now -- never have any shortage of funds for their "health care needs." The devotees who did the real service, they are apparently not funded -- at all. Certainly this is being duly noted by Chitragupta. ys pd]

Padmapani's Thank you letter of appreciation April 9 2016
Dear Godbrothers, Godsisters and Friends in Srila Prabhupada's eternal family,
Hare Krishna. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I'm writing this message to express my sincere appreciation to all my dear friends and spiritual family members who have so kindly stepped forward and offered support and encouragement to this unworthy but grateful soul.
Words escape me at present because I'm genuinely overwhelmed with the deepest gratitude and love. Many, many thanks to one and all.
Actually I have to admit that due to my deteriorating health condition, I was pretty much thinking that the time has now come to seriously prepare for leaving this mortal coil.
But then I read a devotee's memories of associating with Vishnujana Swami back in the glory days of our Krishna consciousness movement. He mentioned that Vishnujana had advised that whenever one is in great trouble or conflict that he or she should pray to Lord Nityananda Prabhu for guidance and help. Vishnujana Swami said that Lord Nityananda will always answer one's prayers as long as they are humble and sincere.
Since it's not my habit to pray to the Lord for anything material or for myself personally, I decided to reach out to Sri Nityananda Prabhu and place my situation before Him with an open heart. I bowed down and asked Him in my prayers that if He so desires I wish to humbly serve the divine lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada with all my heart and soul eternally.
If He wants me to stay in this world and try my humble best to serve Prabhupada and his great mission here for the time being, then I'm placing my insignificant life and situation before Him for His kind blessings and guidance. I also prayed to Srila Prabhupada for His causeless mercy to please accept me as His eternal disciple and servant in whatever way he desires.
Of course, I have no qualifications for approaching Srila Prabhupada's lotus feet, nor do I have even a drop of sincerity in my heart, but I have no other recourse than to beg for Their divine mercy nonetheless. I stopped trying to figure everything out myself and simply turned it all over to Them.
Lo and behold, to my great surprise (and shock), someone sent me a message with a link to this Go Fund Me campaign on my behalf. My old friends, Vishnudas Prabhu (Krishna artist extraordinaire), his good wife, Rudrani Devi Dasi and Gaura Prabhu (humble servant of the Vaisnavas), had conspired behind my back to create this online emergency rescue effort, probably because they know I would never ask anyone -- especially the devotees -- for help.
They are literally forcing me to accept the mercy of the kind-hearted Vaisnavas and Vaisnavis. It seems possible that Srila Prabhupada and Lord Nityananda Prabhu might be responding to my humble prayers by inspiring my good friends from within. At least it seems that way to me.
We read about Sri Nityananda Prabhu's causeless mercy in the following verses of the Sri Caitanya-caritamrita:
"Because He is intoxicated by ecstatic love and is an incarnation of mercy, He does not distinguish between the good and the bad. He delivers all those who fall down before Him. Therefore He has delivered such a sinful and fallen person as me."
(Cc. Adi 5, 208-209)
So what began as a sad sob story on the material level has now been magically transformed into a spiritual experience by the grace of the Lord and His sincere devotees. How wonderful indeed. All glories to the Vaisnava devotees of the Lord.
vancha-kalpatarubhyas ca krpa-sindhubhya eva ca patitanaᚁ pavanebhyo vaisnavebhyo namo namah
"I offer my respectful obeisances unto the Vaisnava devotees of the Lord. They are just like desire trees and can fulfill the desires of everyone, and they are full of compassion for the fallen conditioned souls."
So I would like to hereby announce to all my dear friends and well-wishers, that contrary to recent rumors, the Hare Krishna movement is not dead. It forever resides in the hearts of Srila Prabhupada's true followers and disciples. You are all proving that devotees are still the best friends we could ever have, irrespective of our petty differences. This is the essence of Prabhupada's Krishna consciousness movement:
"Our Society is like one big family and our relationships should be based on love and trust."
(Srila Prabhupada letter, August 6, 1970)
Thank you all for fulfilling Srila Prabhupada's vision and instruction in this connection. With your kind support and blessings, I hope to soon recover and try even harder to serve Srila Prabhupada's divine mission for the benefit of all living beings. Please bless me in this way.
I'll be writing to each and every devotee who has so kindly offered their support and sweet words, as time and health permit. I just wanted to ensure that everyone here knows how grateful and humbled I am. Thank you most sincerely.
"Nityananda is the principle of the Guru. So, the Gurudeva is the incarnation of Nityananda. Anyone strictly following the instruction of the Guru is following Nityananda. The price one has to pay if he wants to become Krishna conscious is that he must dedicate himself to following the order of the spiritual master, mahat seva. If the Spiritual Master is pleased with disciple then the blessings of Guru will be there.
That is the best way to become Krishna conscious, and Krishna is non-different from Nityananda. You may pray to Lord Nityananda to help you become dedicated in the service of your Guru. Krishna consciousness cannot be achieved artificially. You should approach Nityananda Prabhu through your Spiritual Master."
(Srila Prabhupada letter, October 24, 1976)
Jaya Srila Prabhupada! Jaya Sri Nityananda Prabhu! Vaisnavebhyo namo namah!
Daso 'smi,

Padmapani das
