PADA: OK Ramai swami has reportedly mistreated devotees, sometimes severely. And he has promoted weird deviations of the Vaishnava siddhanta. And we have criticized him in the past. And he has acted as a sort of ring leader in the GBC's bogus guru's circus for some time.
Now someone says -- wait! He is actually not that bad of a guy, but he is being forced and coerced into being an enforcer / bad guy by the other GBC. And ever since his heart attack he has been very subdued and not so forceful, because he feels bad about his previous actions.
I dunno what say? I could argue in court that I was coerced to help the robbers rob the bank. It might fly with the court, it might not. In any case, I would get some sort of sentence from the court, whether they agreed I was coerced or not. I am still guilty of something. It is our duty to step aside and not allow ourselves to be coerced by bad people.
We are seeing more of this argument now. Ramesvara was coerced, Satsvarupa was coerced, Jayatirtha was coerced, ummm -- well maybe. Even Sridhar and Narayan Maharajas were coerced. Really? But us dumb mlecchas were not coerced?
That is why a brahmana is supposed to be independent, so he cannot be coerced into supporting bad acting individuals or their personality cults. My question is, when are all these coerced people going to admit they are the ones who made the mistake?

LW: This is what I hear all the time from the kids around here. "Did you break my planter pot"? "No, Jimmy was chasing me. He made me run too fast, and he made me run into it." Sounds reasonably good. If you are seven years old.
ReplyDeleteI have noticed this myself. "We just followed the GBC because we thought that was a good idea." Good. When did you figure out it was a bad idea?
If you are being coerced into doing the wrong things ... that helps ... but you still have to pay for the crimes. It is a mitigating factor ... but you still get cuffed ... and arrested. You will be charged with something ... nonetheless. If nothing else, you will be charged with neglecting to report the problem to the police.
Heart attack, surgery and stents. Right ... that generally means eating way too much of the wrong things. Or maybe stress. Or maybe both. Not the general illness of a sadhu. It has slowed him down ... but he is still not admitting the whole hoax.
Another Jayapataka? Slowed down ... but no real repenting. Warning sign from Krishna ... not being heeded. Again.
M Dasi: Classic example. Their school's children are skinny, many have their bones sticking out from lack of food. They are suffering horrible things we do not like to mention in public. The leaders? Big, fat and wallowing walrus'. So big they cannot fit into a Santa Claus suit ... because they are eating enough for five elephants.
ReplyDeleteThe children end up? Applying for welfare food stamps and government health care ... some of them end up homeless and living in an old car. The leaders end up? In fancy houses ... with servants and with the best health care hospitals. And with the best doctors ... all paid by ISKCON.
I have no idea why almost no one can spot the real trouble here? These people are exploiters par excellence. They should at least apologize ... and explain their role in the whole hoax. But they cannot do so. Why? They are still exploiting ISKCON. And they are afraid their free pass will be harmed if they come clean. Perhaps he does actually feel bad about all this ... but not enough to come out and say he is sorry ... which would help the victims somewhat by giving them some closure. He won't do that ... to save his own fat a**. Sorry .. he is not really sorry.
Even if he apologizes for creating all this disaster for others ... that would only lessen his length of jail time by a small percent.
GD: The truth about Ramai's new Govardhan. When Sabhapati left it was debt free. A nice couple donated their farm, but when they met Bhavananda they wanted it back. Too late. Ramai had sold it and pocketed the money.
ReplyDeleteSo he gets his thug Ajita, who was laundering money in Brisbane to take over there. Ajita is front lining the movement with his bogus catering trucks, which he got by stealing the money meant for a new Brisbane Temple, "employing" who he can -- for no wages, pretending they are devotees "doing service." And ripping the karmis off blind. No books. It's only successful because it's under the Iskcon banner, calling it prasad.
Ajita now owns the farm by paying off the debt, and he throws all the Prabhupad disciples out on the street, including Sabhapati who bought and built it. And he fills it up with non-devotees from his "eco-farm" idea -- who do what he says, or they're out too.
For some odd reason the farm is legally in Maharishis name, where Ramai spent a summer vacation there. The cringing part is the fact that he pretends to be a devotee and acts as the representative of the ISKCON movement to millions of innocent people, which is really a selfish money grabbing exploiting endeavour with no benefit to the people -- as the food is shocking and totally overpriced, run by ragamuffins, and this is how he is presenting our beloved movement to masses of people.
I had to do one festival for him ... no devotees and an appalling disgrace .... no books. He continues to build the farm up for for himself with useless buildings to claims his authority, but he is French and has no legal right to the property and that is why he is so forceful, attacking people with tractors and using the police.
He now has a luxury house on the Gold Coast, his own property supposedly, with his wife (who he hates and who dobbed on him having an affair) doesn't go there.... what's that for? It looks like overall the GBC does not mind all these scams and mistreatment of devotees ... as long as one pleads loyalty to the whole criminal operation.
