Olivia is a special soul who brought love and light, song and laughter, and mantra music to millions of people. Years ago when we spent time together in Florida and Germany, California and Arizona, she was always awesome, down to earth, kind and generous. Her star status never got in the way of her being real, being kind, and hanging out with the rest of us. 

Many occasions I got to share prasada and kirtan with Olivia, Bada Hari's CDs and my children's books. Olivia wrote songs about the rainforests, I wrote books. We worked together to bring awareness to protecting the plants, the animals, and the children of the Amazon rainforest and sharing the rainforest's botanical gifts through Amazon Herb Co.

"Let Go Let God" is a song about finding strength through surrender, something Olivia Newton-John did after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992. Her cancer returned in 2017 and again in 2020, but she remained resolute, "I see it as my life's journey. It gave me purpose and intention and taught me a lot about compassion."

KD: I can't help but get shivers when I read the lyrics she left us with. Upon the news yesterday of sweet music goddess Olivia Newton John leaving the planet, I revisit her lyrics, and I have goose bumps. She could not have left us with better guiding words of love and compassion and warmth. She was a beautiful human being, I pay my respects to her and hope her journey on is filled with devotion and love, as she gave on this planet.
