Montreal Festival (ISKCON) ys pd

In 1968 His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada visited Montreal for several months, helping to lay the groundwork for the preaching of Krishna consciousness in Canada.
ISKCON Montreal will be celebrating the 43rd anniversary of this historic visit from September 2 through September 5 (Labour Day weekend). We have arranged on Saturday, Sept. 3, a three-hour boat cruise on the St. Lawrence River. There will be chanting, dancing with ecstatic kirtan and Prabhupada reminiscences from many senior Prabhupada disciples, including our chief guest, the renowned artist Puskar das.
On Sunday, Sept. 4, the devotees will have a maha Harinam visiting 3720 Avenue du Parc (Montreal’s first temple location, a one-time bowling alley which the devotees had converted) and the quarter where Srila Prabhupada stayed for three months. In the afternoon the temple will be celebrating Sri Radhashtami mahotsava.
On Monday, Sept. 5, the devotees will conclude the festival by having an outdoor kirtan, picnic and more Prabhupada katha at Sainte Sophie, not far from Montreal. ISKCON Montreal temple management cordially invites everyone to attend this grand festival.
