PADA: Thanks prabhu, yes there is a small group of maybe 50 people running the whole molester guru process in ISKCON, and they have been there, ruining ISKCON, and creating 100s of molesting cases for children, and for decades. Correct. And here are some of their names:

As of mid September, this GHQ conference consisted of a core of up to 17 men, plus other sympathizers who were brought into the discussions on an “as-needed” basis. These GHQ conference members were Basu Ghosh (das) ACBSP (Baroda – IN), Bhakti Vikasa Swami, Bhanu Swami (Madras – IN), Danavir das Goswami (USA), Dayaram (das) JPS (Mayapur – IN), Goloka Candra (das) JPS (Malaysia), Guru-Krsna (das) HDG (Alachua, FL – USA), Jasomatinandan (das) ACBSP (Gujarat – IN), Jaya Tirtha Charan (das) JPS, Jivan Mukta (das) TSI (Back to Basics) (Ontario – CAN), Krishna Kirti (das) HDG (Baltimore – USA), Prithu (das) ACBSP, Rasananda Swami (USA), Shyamasundara (das) ACBSP (Florida Vedic College -USA), Svavasa (das) ACBSP (NA-BBT), Trivikrama Swami, Vidvan Gauranga (das) JPS (Mayapur – IN), and Ameyatma Dasa. The group also included Sadhusangananda, TP of ISKCON Boston, although due to his travel schedule, he was not very active initially. Jivanmukta’s wife Sita was the only woman active in these discussions. One of her main roles appears to have been to leak texts from the “International Women’s Conference” on COM to the GHQ members and do search folio for quotes intended to disempower women.

“Even if one commits the most abominable action, if he is engaged in devotional service he is to be considered saintly because he is properly situated in his determination?”

SRS: I didn’t write that. Krsna said it. How do we incorporate Bhagavad-gita into the way we deal with abusers? I know its not politically correct. Is BVPS strictly engaged in service? From what I hear he has had strict and extensive sadhana the last 10 years. If he is properly situated in his determination—and that’s for Mayapur management to determine—then how do we deal with considering him saintly? How can an abuser also be saintly—good GBC discussion topic. Its there in our main scripture and we can’t ignore it. At least I can’t. Nor should any devotee.

Quoting BG 9:30 without understanding the meaning is not a very good example from a guru. Prabhuapda clearly explains that this verse refers only to "accidental falldown." Prabhupada continually uses the phrase accidental falldown in the purport. On a morning walk and in a Bhagavatam class he states that if the falldown is deliberate, not accidental, that is the Greatest Offense.

"Caitanya Mahāprabhu accepted Jagāi and Mādhāi; they were very sinful. What is their sin? They're illicit sex, woman-hunter, drunkard, meat-eater—that is sinful activities according to Vedic scripture. So they became debauched and guṇḍā, disturbing element. But Caitanya Mahāprabhu delivered them. Caitanya Mahāprabhu delivered them on one condition. What is that condition?

When they fell down on the lotus feet of Lord Caitanya and Nityānanda, "Sir, we are so much sinful. Kindly deliver us"—there is a long history, incident; I will tell you some day—this Caitanya Mahāprabhu made one condition, that "I can accept you only on your promise that you shall no more commit sinful activities. What you have done, that's all right; I will excuse. But if you commit again, that will be greatest offense." SB 6.1.38

BVPS has abused children for years on end. He has committed the greatest offense because his fall downs weren't accidental, they were planned. He didn't become reformed but continued to prey upon innocent victims.

Why does Sivaram Swami not understand this?

Pedophilia is like alcoholism. It's a disease that can't be cured. The only method to be free is to have zero connection to alcohol, to have zero connection with children.

But BVPS cleverly sidestepped the restrictions to save himself from further accidental falldowns. That is the proof that his falldown was not accidental, but planned. And his karma caught up with him.

Prabhpada continues in the purport [SB 6.1.38]

"So our Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement, following the footsteps of Lord Caitanya, we are also following the same principles under the authority of Lord Caitanya. When we accept somebody in our Society as initiated member, we put forward these obligations, restriction, that no more illicit sex life, no more gambling, no more intoxication and no more animal food. That is necessary.

If you accept spiritual life and at the same time go on committing sinful activities, then you will never be able to progress. That is not possible. Because in the Bhagavad-gītā it is clearly said by Kṛṣṇa,

yeṣām anta-gataṁ papa
janānāṁ puṇya-karmaṇām [Bg. 7.28]

"Persons who are completely freed from all contamination of sinful activities and simply engaged in pious activities, they only are admitted in devotional service."
So yes, Sivaram Maharaja, let's follow BG 9:30, and let's follow the example given by Lord Chaitanya, for accidental falldowns. But never for planned falldowns. That is the teaching of Sri Krishna, Lord Chaitanya, and Srila Prabhupada.
