[PADA: It is a difficult position for the ISKCON GBC right now to comment on the Ukraine problem, since there are potential severe results -- especially if you are in Russia -- where dissent is not tolerated. Oh, I forgot, just like it is difficult to comment on ISKCON's bogus gurus in ISKCON, where dissent is also not tolerated. Hmmm, great minds think alike!
At least you can leave ISKCON if you find it too oppressive, and tens of thousands have already done that. Or really millions of people now have no interest in ISKCON thanks to the bogus GBC gurus, but if you are in Russia, you are sort of stuck there.
And yes, it does look like Bhakti Vijnana swami wants to help the Ukraine side more, which means he is going to be in trouble with his Russian supporters. I have been criticized the same way evidently, but I am not on any side. I just don't think thousands of people should be bombed and killed, or left to starve and have to depend on Food for Life in big cities. Attacking the civilians is not the way to go.
I think this Ukraine defender devotee (below) is stretching things a bit (ya think?) to say that Ukraine is like the Pandavas being attacked by the Kauravas. Ukraine is not an angelic place either, and has its own karma load which is part of the problem.
That being said! At the same time 24/7 bombing of women, children, babies, old people etc. -- in huge apartment residential buildings -- is very sinful. That is something probably 95% of the world already agrees upon. This is overly aggressive. Simultaneously, it looks like Russian soldiers are also suffering if not dying in the mess they created for themselves.
Anyway! No surprises that the GBC has not responded. It is what it is, and it is a mess by all accounts. Food for Life is a good idea and it is giving Krishna a good name, therefore I am in favor of it. If you want to donate and help them out, it looks like a good cause. ys pd

In 2012, Putin's authorities falsely accused Srila Prabhupada's "Bhagavad-gita as it is" of a non-existent crime - extremism. And what happened in the Bhagavad-gita trial - can be called the battle of the Vaishnavs and the "force of light" against the lies of the Russian dark power. Challenge to the debate
On May 26, 2022, our project "Vaishnava against beZumia" submitted to the GBC a Report about 14 devotees of Russian ISKCON, who are ideologists and preachers of Russian ideas. Our report was ignored.
This report features Krishnadas Kaviraj Prabhu, as well as our hero of the day - Arjuna Krishna Prabhu, Tyumen Temple President, disciple of Indradumna Swami, renowned devotee and leader of the harinama. It was on page number 6 in our report. But why did he end up there? For his racist posts.
Widely known among the devotees is a fragment of his video, in which he claims that the Russian people are fighting in Ukraine against the unfinished fascists and finishing what they did not finish in 1945.
In the new video you will find an analysis of the situation and statements of Arjuna Krishna Prabhu. You will get evidence that racism is not just a preconceived belief, but an ideology that kills people in Ukraine. You will find a criticism of the idea of neutrality, as well as my challenge to our hero to the debate.

[PADA: I don't really see how Russia is EVER going to convince these type people that it would be a good idea to surrender to Russian authority. From the looks of things, the Russians are mass alienating the Ukraine population to such a degree, many of them would rather die than work under Russian authority.

What Russia does not seem to realize is, you cannot force people to agree to your authority in most cases. Just like Krishna could make a big army to force us to worship Him, but He does not do so. He wants us to voluntary serve and not make a big enforced labor camp. Similarly, GBC tried to force us to worship deviants, and most people would not surrender.
Forcing people to surrender is not always a working process, and often, it backfires and it just makes people protest and renegade, just like we renegaded from the GBC authority. ys pd]
