PADA: Thanks Bhaktin P.P. Dasi for your question "is Bhakti Vikas swami a bona fide guru, since he speaks out against -- and sometimes severely chastises -- the other ISKCON gurus"? 

First of all, the idea that some gurus have to criticize / attack / censure / remove the other gurus in their own guru lineage is wrong from the get go. Bhakti Vikas swami has to criticize his fellow "gurus" for their having illicit sex with men, women and children, being drunks, drug addicts, watching porno and etc. which means, he has no idea what is a guru in the first place. "I am in charge of correcting Krishna and His guru parampara." No, you aren't.  

According to BVKS program, gurus are often deviating and falling down, and then they need "reform" and correction, censure, removal etc. In short, BVKS thinks the guru is an ordinary mundane man who deviates and needs reform, which is very offensive. Indeed Srila Prabhupada says the person who thinks gurus are ordinary men are residents of naraka.

Sorry! Gurus do not indulge in so many varieties of illicit activity. Nor are gurus "chastised" for being deviants. Of course BKVS is himself "2/3 show of hands voted in" when the GBC reinstated sex with taxi drivers in the dham as their acharya. Self-evidently, BVKS does not even know that sex with taxi drivers in the dham is not part of the qualifications of any acharyas. Nor would any acharya be voted in to such a corrupt system.

Nor does a guru parampara have one guru claiming the other gurus in his own guru parampara are totally bogus. In other words BVKS program is trying to say it is common that gurus in the parampara deviate and have to be voted in, voted out, chastised, admonished, corrected, censured, suspended, and maybe excommunicated and removed. OK acharyas are often mundane men, deviants, predators, or even common criminals. Any questions? We'll boot you out.

This is never done in the history of the guru parampara, and it diminishes if not totally eliminates the credibility of the guru parampara. Yes, he is one of our gurus, which is why he was censured for being drunk and disorderly on the airplane (like Hansadutta, who was arrested for being drunk when he got off the plane).    

Next, BVKS program encourages / enforces / enables / insists that everyone in ISKCON to worship their illicit sex, homosexual, pedophile, sexual predator, drunk and disorderly etc. "guru parampara." Then often as not, when people eventually find out BVKS is cheating them, by giving them a conditioned soul as their guru -- the BVKS program -- blames the victims. 

Which means, BVKS's program is basically blaming even the ISKCON five year old children for "not studying shastra well enough, so they selected the wrong guru." Ooops! The five years old child does not select the gurus, rather the BVKS program crams these bogus gurus down the throats of the children. Apart from that, Srila Prabhupada never said the five years old children would be in charge of selecting the acharyas of ISKCON. This is all concocted by the BVKS program. In fact there is no history of the rank and file's five years old children selecting the society's acharyas in Gaudiya History. 

Next, BVKS attacks anyone who says the GBC gurus are bogus as "a ritvik" which means literally, a person who worships pure devotees and not BVKS's debauchees, drunks, predators and orchestrators of murders acharyas etc. BVKS keeps telling us -- there are no examples in shastra of people worshiping pure devotees as their acharya found anywhere. Worship of pure devotees is never found in shastra? 

Ooops, there are ample examples of people ONLY worshiping pure devotees as their acharyas, and there are zero examples of bona fide Vaishnavas worshiping deviants as their acharyas. Anyway, to make a long story short, the BVKS program certifies and votes in their gurus. And they have a track record of voting in illicit sex deviants and other deviants as their gurus. Then they said, the people who worshiped their gurus, such as five years old children "wanted to be cheated, so they selected the wrong guru." 

This is just passing off responsibility for their own crimes, to the children! "I told my child to help me rob the bank by being my look out, and he did, therefore, he is responsible for me robbing the bank." Does this make any sense? It does, if you are BVKS. No one else would believe such a load of crapola. 

Of course BVKS program also says, "do you think Srila Prabhupada was not potent enough to have made many pure devotees"? OK maybe, except illicit sex with men, women and children deviants are not pure devotees, or even bona fide sadhaka devotees. And to juxtapose sinful people with the parampara is called the mad elephant offense, attacking the acharyas as mundane or deviated, it is not authorized.

For the record, we do not understand how or why Bhakti Vikasa Swami concluded that Eleven Naked Emperors is “influenced by Henry’s adherence to the ritvik doctrine.” Henry claims that he advocates neither the ritvik doctrine nor the ISKCON guru system. Nonetheless Henry is pleased that an ISKCON guru has at least acknowledged and admitted he has read Eleven Naked Emperors.

A Prabhupada disciple who was initiated fifty years ago shared his thoughts in an email with Henry, 

“He is simply running you thru the grease by tarring you with the ritvik brush. He is unscrupulous as he is austere. He is the (arguably) chief right-wing representative of the ‘ISKCON’ bird of prey. You are now in the category of a developing threat due to your massive body of work. Hanuman of Croatia also attacked you in a somewhat similar way. This fellow recently backed Jayadvaita in a MAJOR CHANGE to one of Prabhupada’s translations in Bhagavad-gita, CHANGING AND REVERSING the clear implication intentionally. Do not allow him to disturb you in any way.”

Another Prabhupada disciple who was initiated fifty-one years ago (Puranjana) shared his thoughts, 

“First of all, anyone who rejects the GBC guru system is handily branded as a ritvik deviant, their catch-all phrase for all doubting Thomas folks. Secondly, the zonal guru system has never been dismantled. Bhakti Vikasa Swami is the guru for Salem, India, Jayapataka is the guru of Mayapur, Gopal Krishna is the guru of Delhi, Bhakti Chaitanya Swami is the guru of Durban, etc. 

"It seems like BVKS is spinning the truth on all levels. He also did not consult with you, which is the same thing they do with me: ‘Well, Puranjana says no more pure devotees will appear for the next 10,000 years.’ OK, but I never said that? A pure devotee might appear, might not appear, it is not my job to speculate on the future. They also know you got at least some help and encouragement from us, so that makes you an outcaste too. He is just trying to paint you as a deviant with a wide brush. 

"Right now BVKS is himself in the hot seat because his best pal Basu Ghosh is promoting a known child molester (Lokanath) as a guru, and BVKS is being painted as a co-conspirator on this deviation—OK, because he is. They are really on the run. Jayadvaita Swami was in Los Angeles recently and he was rarely seen and no one knew where he was staying. Sneaking around basically. OK, he is hiding. 

"Kavicandra says he cannot come to the USA to face the angry mobs. Ravindra Svarupa has not written any position papers in a long time. Satsvarupa seems to have lost his last marble rolling around his head, etc. They are on the run and they see all of us as an enemy and someone to brand as deviated. It is working fine for them, in Salem India, not many other places. Oddly, he is now saying that since they cemented in a known child molester as a main guru of India, things are getting better and it is all corrected now from the so-called zonal days. 

"Ummm, making child molesters into gurus was the problem all along, zonal era, this era, and the present time? It has not been fixed, if anything they are doubling down on that deviation. Anyway, you are on their radar now, hah hah. Regarding your book, Eleven Naked Emperors: Read it and weep, should be required GBC reading!”

A third Prabhupada disciple, Kailasa Candra dasa (Mark Goodwin), also commented on this topic, 

“BVKS is not even a genuinely initiated sannyasi. His so-called guru to give him sannyasa was one of the great pretender mahabhagavats of 1978, and, as such, had no authority to give sannyasa initiation to anyone. As such, this man is an upstart, and he has proven that in many ways. His warped ‘understanding’ of the cataclysmic, zonal-acharya epoch is nothing more than historical revisionism. 

"That he is an extremely austere man is obvious: All you have to do is look at him to realize that. However, in and of itself, that is not necessarily a spiritual commendation, e.g., Jayadvaita, who is also a light bulb but has done immeasurable damage to Prabhupada’s books by not correcting changing some obvious mistakes but, instead, BY CHANGING THE MEANINGS, which is horrific activity, to say the least. This is what ‘ISKCON’ has come to, and please take note, this so-called Bhakti Vikas has COMPLETELY BACKED Jayadvaita in the horrendous change to the translation of Bg. 2.44, in which the original wording is CENT-PER-CENT TRUE AND ACCURATE. 

"This is an indepth discussion, and this man knows it; therefore, he knows he can get away with his VERY WRONG vitiated translation (backing Jayadvaita) and nobody will successfully be able to challenge and defeat him. These kind of guys are able to pull this horsecrap off due to the power of their austerities, just like the heavy-duty Mayavadis have been able to do the same damn thing in India for many centuries. They will all be held to account in due course of time, but, in the meantime, due not allow yourself to come under the seemingly pious external demeanor of this man, as he is propping up ‘ISKCON’ through mistaken knowledge, meta-deception, and historical revisionism.”

According to his website, “His Holiness Bhakti Vikasa Swami appeared in this world in 1957 in England. He joined the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in London in 1975 and was initiated in that year with the name Ilapati dasa by ISKCON’s founder-acharya, His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. From 1977 to 1979 His Holiness was based in India, mostly traveling in West Bengal preaching Krsna consciousness and distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books. He then spent the following ten years helping to pioneer ISKCON’s preaching in Bangladesh, Burma, Thailand, and Malaysia.

BVKS's "Back to Pedophile-head" process, for children.  

G Dasa: I believe that there are a number of factors at play here (just off the top of my head):

1) Clearly, Lokanath lacks any kind of normal conscience.

2) Lokanath and the GBC leadership apparently feel that a culture of denial will make the criminal abuse of a child just go away.

3) Lokanath has poisoned the sannyasin āshram by maintaining his high profile position while continuing to carry an unaddressed sickness in the guise of a renunciate.

4) Lokanath has proven, finally, that ISKCON's "guru system" is a concoction that the GBC created, contraindicated by Śrīla Prabhupāda himself.

5) It appears that neither Lokanath nor the GBC feel any responsibility in at least a meager attempt to make it up to the victim of abuse.

6) How can Lokanath honestly continue to offer dīkṣā when all of the above remains unsettled and resolved, ethically, institutionally, and devotionally?

7) How can Lokanath shamelessly continue to give an impression to new and older initiates, as well as his audiences, that somehow he is a representative of our great spiritual master and āchārya, whose own character and example was spotless when it came to the sannyasa āshram?

8) It is inevitable that this institutional and devotional malignancy will continue to grow and come into view by the outside world and will heavily tarnish the reputation and image of all devotees in ISKCON. For those of us in ISKCON, who utterly love the Krishna Bhakti that Śrīla Prabhupāda so sacrificed to give the world, leaves us ashamed and humiliated to be associated even indirectly with such festering transgressions.

9) And finally, who is taking care of all of Lokanath's sincere disciples and followers, who invested so much of their hearts in this man? And who continue to enable Lokanath's "preaching" who are experiencing so much pain for which the only solution they know is utter and complete denial of Lokanath's situation?

SD: These people lack any idea of the philosophy they claim to have mastered. They are poisoning the whole idea of Krishna and ISKCON to the general public, and have been all along. They want to give the sannyasa ashram, guru parampara and Krishna a bad name, and it is all they do 24/7. In other words, they are not Krishna devotees, they are Kali chelas.
