[PADA: It seems like "going vegetarian" is going more mainstream in the USA diet. That is good news for the animals, and for the people who are getting very unhealthy results by eating meat products. Krishna devotees should have been leaders in this effort with vegetarian restaurants all over the place, but they have fallen into obscurity while others are taking the lead on this front.
A devotee just opened a "Vegan Deli," and it was packed with people when it opened. We could do this type thing too, but we need to be more organized. This is another problem resulting from the GBC fracturing ISKCON, it is very hard to coordinate projects such as restaurants etc.
Anyway, anything that will save millions of animals from getting slaughtered is a good thing, and we should be glad for that. Someone said these fried KFC plant products will be made separately in Vegetable oils, so they will not be part of the meat system. ys pd]
