[PADA: Looks like there are all sorts of troubles in ISKCON with: doubters over the mis-managing then -- getting the boots in face treatment / mis-managed funds (common theme) / sannyasa and brahmacaris with girlfriends (common theme) / mis-treating devotees (common theme) / various charity scams / missing funds / lack of transparency / aggression towards whistleblowers / and so on.
Ultimately the managers are responsible because -- well simply stated -- they are not managing properly. Now someone wrote to complain that people like Jayapataka / Bhakti Vikas swami / Radhanath / et al. did not intentionally make a molester empire -- it just sort of happened by accident (under their watch?).
Ummm well they banned us whistleblowers, and in the case of Sulochana, he was assassinated. In any case, we have to judge a thing by its result, and the result of their post-1978 management is not good, by all accounts. We would have to say that for these levels of troubles to be infesting the society, including the major child molesting issue, there has had to be coordinated corruption.
Anyway, I have no idea what this UK complaint is actually about for sure, no one told me the details. What we do know is -- the writer is going to the charity commission and police for help. OK that means other avenues are not working. As far as writing Praghosa das, lots of people think he is totally corrupt himself.
As far as financial transparency, well it looks very transparent to me -- most devotees are driving an old beat up car while living in a funky apartment -- while many leaders are living in big opulent palaces with servants, feasts, sometimes female servants, new computers, big new town cars, etc. How much more transparency do we need here?
Anyway, if anyone can fill us in about all this, please do. Meanwhile notice, more of the natives are getting restless and they are just fed up with the GBC process, and thus more and more folks are making a mutiny from GBC authority. I say that is a good first step in rectifying the situation.

"Mahāprabhu says, na janam" – this means, do not be so eager to make disciples. Don’t run after this!
Prabhupāda once wrote that, “Simply increasing the number of neophytes is not real service to guru. This is not real guru-pūjā.” He wrote that in a poem at Rādhā-Dāmodara Temple, and made a scathing comment about just increasing the numbers of neophytes.
Of course in modern ISKCON they welcome the low life and get rid of the thoughtful and discriminating. That is why they are where they are now.
It is going to take a lot of digging to get them out of the hole they made for themselves. By now they pretty sure know they are in a big giant hole. They have shot their credibility to pieces over and over.
And they know that getting out will require honesty, but they are not ready for that yet. The situation is changing around them no matter what, so even if they keep dragging their feet, the rest of the world will keep moving and go past them. And they will be left on the junkpile of history as fools, and obstinate and stubborn fools too.
As Srila Prabhupada says for the faithless and opposing bhakti "destination unknown."
