Jayapataka Gets Virus / JPS Supports PADA's Karma Assessment

HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja,

Dear God-family, disciples and well-wishers of H.H. Jayapataka Swami Maharaja
You may be aware that in the past week many servants of Guru Maharaja were tested positive for covid 19 and were moved out to quarantine. They are all being given treatment and are recovering.

Last night Guru Maharaja had high fever and shivering accompanied by cough for 3 hours. A covid test was ordered immediately which was positive. His international team of doctors are prescribing appropriate medications and have advised ample rest. 

Many devotees in Mayapur have tested positive over the past few days. We request all of you to sincerely do follow your sadhana and take necessary precautions and follow protocols to stay safe.

We also request devotees to please pray for Guru Maharaja’s health and that of all his servants so that Guru Maharaja can carry on his services without interruption.
We will keep you all informed periodically.

[PADA: Many devotees are catching the virus, including one of them who told PADA "it is a hoax" -- until that person got extremely ill and we convinced that person to go to the hospital emergency room -- because of dire health -- and it was getting worse. And this person could not even speak without having a giant cough.

Fortunately, hospital care helped that person. Of course others, like Hanuman Croatia, Bhakti Caru swami and a number of others, did not make it. We are not sure how this will affect JPS, but he is already in a weak state so it will be harder for him to recover. 

PADA editor has also been surrounded by folks who tested positive and I may have had it and not even known, or who knows what. I did have a very raspy throat for three days. Evidently, dodged the bullet so far, but it does seem that eventually, everyone will get it -- whether symptomatic or not. In sum, it is not a joke and we as devotees should take practical precautions to avoid it, if possible.]

Why Does the Spiritual Master Suffer?

Devotee: One time you said that sometimes you feel sickness or pain due to the sinful activities of your devotees. Can sometimes disease be due to that? Caused by that?

Śrīla Prabhupāda: You see, Kṛṣṇa says: aham tvam sarva - papebhyo mokṣayiṣyāmi ma sucah

"I will deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear."

So Kṛṣṇa is so powerful that He can immediately take up all the sins of others and immediately make them right. But when a living entity plays the part on behalf of Kṛṣṇa, he also takes the responsibility for the sinful activities of his devotees. Therefore to become a guru is not an easy task. You see? 

He has to take all the poisons and absorb them. So sometimes—because he is not Kṛṣṇa — sometimes there is some trouble. Therefore Caitanya Mahāprabhu has forbidden, "Don't make many śiṣyas, many disciples." But for preaching work we have to accept many disciples—for expanding preaching—even if we suffer."

Disciples have to remember that Guru Maharaja has been suffering from cellulitis for a very long time now. Shastras reveal that disciples who don't follow their vows take at the time of initiation and are not chanting their prescribed rounds, certainly affect the Guru. And HH Jayapataka Swami has confirmed the same. So it is very important that disciples follow the regulative principles and chant their 16 rounds.

[Recurrent episodes of cellulitis may damage the lymphatic drainage system and cause chronic swelling of the affected limb.]

[PADA: Right. Some devotees have complained that PADA is obsessed with the problem of neophytes / conditioned souls artificially posing as diksha gurus, and then getting burdened with taking the sins of their followers. Well fine, but the ISKCON gurus themselves / their followers / are saying the GBC's gurus are taking karma -- and being malefic affected. Also some Narayan Maharaja people said he got cancer from taking disciples. OK it is a problem, there is no question about it.

Even way back in 1979 Jayatirtha's folks said he was failing because "he has taken too much of our karma." Then Bhagavan, Bhavananda, Harikesh, Hansadutta, Kirtanananda, Ramesvara, Satsvarupa, Vipramukhya, Prithu et al. were also failing evidently from taking karma. Then Sivarama said these GBC gurus including himself are suffering from taking karma and he is "in constant pain" from his own taking karma from followers. 

Ooops, what if Srila Prabhupada said it is forbidden for us neophytes to pose as diksha gurus and take karma from others -- and there will be dire results if we do so artificially? And thus the GBC has made all sorts of position papers on -- guru this and guru that -- but has not yet resolved -- how a neophyte can act in the same capacity as Jesus and absorb the sins of others? Especially, after Srila Prahbupada specifically warned us that we neophytes cannot absorb the sins of others, or we will get sick, fall down, or both, and as we see -- these premature gurus -- can die prematurely! 

PADA has spilled a lot of ink on this topic already, but clearly it has not been resolved and now Bir Krishna says he wants thousands of ladies to also take the post of diksha guru, so they too can take karma -- and also get sick, fall down, and die -- from taking sins! Wow, we need to spread the fall down / sickness and death / suffering and misery / the men are experiencing -- to the ladies! 

Our men gurus are ALREADY getting sick, falling down, and dying, left, right and center. And some of them are in constant pain and have constant migraines etc. -- so let us spread that same suffering, sickness and death -- to the females! And that is how they plan to fix ISKCON, let us make the whole "taking karma artificially problem" -- thousands of times worse -- by making thousands of female diksha gurus. Neine danke!

Step right up ladies!

Guru Maharaj's open letter to his disciples/students:

I'm thinking that some of my disciples don't follow the four restrictions properly. They get divorced, many of them don't really get married, but they have illegal relationships. Maybe they break other rules too. So, I'm bound to get different karma [from my followers]. 

It is a special grace of Lord Sri Krishna that he gives me only small amount of sample punishment for the work of my disciples. The disciples must follow all their promises very strictly, with great care. Hare Krishna!

Ummm, no you are not going to get a small amount of their karma, you are going to the most obnoxious regions of the universe where you will be getting boatloads after boatloads after boatloads of karma, from your own sinful acts and the karma you absorbed. Your own karma of orchestrating devotees being banned, beaten, molested, sued and killed will ALWAYS follow you wherever you are! Add to that the karma you have taken from disciples, yeesh! ys pd 

Thanks for sharing prabhu, yes I see that BIR KRISHNA SWAMI now says he wants women to take karma, so they can suffer and die like they are.

We are pleased to let you know that Guru Maharaja has had normal temperature since yesterday afternoon with medication. His parameters are stable. He continues to feel physically weak and tired which is not unusual but doctors feel he has passed the acute period.

We request all of you to continue sincerely following your sadhana and take necessary precautions and follow protocols to stay safe. We also request devotees to please pray for Guru Maharaja’s health and that of all his servants so that Guru Maharaja can carry on his services without interruption.

Prabhupada here writes: "The dust of the lotus feet of great personalities offers all good to the recipient, but the same dust can also do harm. Those who are offenders at the lotus feet of a great personality dry up; their godly qualities diminish. A great soul may forgive offenses, but Kṛṣṇa does not excuse offenses to the dust of that great soul’s feet, just as one can tolerate the scorching sunshine on one’s head but cannot tolerate the scorching sunshine on one’s feet. An offender glides down more and more; therefore he naturally continues to commit offenses at the feet of the great soul."


Śrīla Prabhupāda: "Leaders who have fallen into ignorance and who mislead people by directing them to the path of destruction [as described in the previous verse] are, in effect, boarding a stone boat, and so too are those who blindly follow them. A stone boat would be unable to float and would sink in the water with its passengers. Similarly, those who mislead people go to hell, and their followers go with them."
