PP Das: Unless ISKCON can follow its own guidelines, no intelligent person will want to join in. Who can blame them?

S DASA: If Lokanath swami (LNS) were actually spiritually reformed, then he would have stepped down long ago, seeing the distress, chaos, and shame to the movement that he is causing.

Some argue (I certainly don't) that his crime was long ago and not since, and he's repented and so bygones should be bygones. I maintain, rather, that he has been a continual offender ever since (knowingly or unknowingly, but either is a disqualification).

1. LNS has never stopped harming his original victim: His essentially nonstop acceptance of worship is a continuation of the same, original message he sends to his victim: "I can do whatever I want, and because of my position, no one will believe you and no one will stop me."

2. LNS has ever since harmed his spiritual master's Society:

His insistence in remaining in his role is harming ISKCON's reputation, is a continual disturbance to the minds of those who love ISKCON, and is responsible for an ongoing terrible division between the Indian yatras and the others.

3. He is putting at great risk the faith of more and more disciples who, once the whole story is inevitably known or ISKCON is forced by internal and external pressures to act, may have their lives shattered.

Whether LNS is oblivious to his continued harming of his victim, and ISKCON, and his disciples, or he feels that on balance he's more asset than liability, or his heart is unclean I'm not judging. What we can say, though, is that his ongoing decision to not step by down from his position but to continue harming his victim and the Society is itself justification for his removal.

[PADA: The India ICC Yatra already supports -- burying pedophiles in samadhis, burying porno swamis in samadhis, and even more samadhis for the folks "voted in" to their -- "oral sex with taxi driver's guru parampara" etc. Of course they also want your kids to worship their apparent sex with cats acharya in a samadhi. 

I am not sure if there is any deviation known to man that is not included in the India ICC's "guru parampara from Vaikuntha." They are already separate from ISKCON, because ISKCON worships pure devotees and they are against anyone who does that. In sum, we are glad that the India ISKCON ICC wants to be separate, take your illicit sex with men, women and children (and cats?) guru parampara somewhere else! ys pd]

Vol. 4: Deviations in the Dhama

The fight against the abuse of the most innocent devotees is being spear - headed by Saraswati Mataji. I have mentioned here in my posts the books of Hare Krishna historian Henry Doktorski, who is dedicating a projected ten volumes to exposing the sordid legacy left behind by K. Swami. 

Doktorski's latest work (Vol. 4) specifically deals with the tragedy of how women and children were treated in NV under K. Swami.

Doktorski's series about the corruption of admitted child molester Kirtanananda Swam is well-researched, and air tight. In fact, the author Hrishikesha Dasa (aka Henry Doktorski) kindly accepted a Foreword from me for Volume 2 of this series. I wrote it because I believe in his work which runs the gamut by dealing with the good, the bad and the ugly.

Originally, Doktorski was a sold-out devotee of K. Swami. Apart from being a skilled writer, Doktorski is a genius musician who conducted the Krishna chorale at New Vrindavana.

When K. Swami's perversions came to light, the love many felt for him turned to disgust. Had K.Swami behaved himself as per his duties as a Gaudiya sannyasi, this extensive set of well-researched volumes that Doktorski has written and continues to write would have been brimming with loving praise. But he--and all other devotees who trusted K. Swami--became disheartened with K. Swami's monstrous abuse of children and his natural disregard for women. 

So instead if some Kirtanananda Samhita full of glorious praise for the guru of New Vrindavana, the result is what is you see here. The truth is not always pretty, but the time to sweep such deviations under the rug by "leaders" has long past.

Any ISKCON guru who allows himself to fall into deplorable behavior towards the most innocent among us can expect a similar result. Because Doktorski's well-researched series sticks to the truth of the matter without any deviations or motivations (such as revenge or sensationalism) it is clear that he is simply doing what Prabhupada ordered his followers to do: "speak the truth even when it is socially unpalatable"---just as you have seen here on this page.

Persons in the elevated post of spiritual leadership should see the result of deviations from the sampradaya. Any one with an iota of common sense will consider what sort of literary legacy will arise behind them, once their game is finished.This volume, incidentally is currently NUMBER ONE in Amazon Hot New Releases in History of Hinduism.

[PADA: However after Kirtanananda got whacked over the head with a pipe, Patitta Pavana came to the Berkeley temple to have us pray for Kirtanananda's rapid recovery and return to his guru position. We cannot simultaneously pray to have pedophiles "quickly return back" to the Vyasa seat, and get rid of them, at the same time. Patita Pavana also supports Bhakti Vikas swami, one of the biggest current supporters of Basu Ghosh / Lokanath swami. Patita Pavana has never left the pedophile's guru program, he is still their cheer leader now. ys pd]
