Takeaway On ISKCON's Pedophile Guru Imbroglio

Guru Prasad Swami: Defending the indefenseable:

Yep, it is a Satanic cabal. Told ya!

Unspeakable evil -- ummm, what I said all along.
Includes: Poisoning the Pure Devotee.

Takeaway from Hanuman Dasa:

A few points made in this podcast that stood out for me:

1: The ISKCON worldwide child Protection Office receives yearly ten thousand dollars from the GBC. These funds are collected from temples and individuals around the world. In the UK alone the GBC pay two million pounds in wages for the ISKCON temples. So two million pounds in wages for the UK alone and only ten thousand dollars for the worldwide Child Protection Office.

2: Dhira Govinda Prabhu points out that when he was the International Director of the Child Protection Office he welcomed the input from any ISKCON members including leaders. But input from the leaders was often dark, corrupt, behind the back manipulative shadowy stuff.

3: Dhira Govinda Prabhu explains that after resigning as the International Director of ISKCON’s Child Protect Office he received growing reports of child abuse in the ISKCON school in Mayapur. When he contacted the new International Director expressing his concerns, especially considering the long history of child abuse in Mayapur, the new director replied, “what history of child abuse in Mayapur?”

But actually there has been generations and generations of violent rape in Mayapur and yet her reply was, “what history of child abuse in Mayapur?”

4: Saraswati Mataji informs us that recently one ISKCON guru told his disciples that the children claiming child abuse were simply making up stories. In response to this Dhira Govinda Prabhu says, “This is very painful for me to hear, very painful.”

This is also very painful for anyone to hear who is aware of the service Dhira Govinda Prabhu has done not only in dealing directly with these cases but also helping the victims deal with their trauma. It was painful to see Dhira Govinda Prabhu’s reaction and sadly shows the darkness still remaining within ISKCON, despite so many devotees sincere endeavours to shine light in the direction of child protection.

5: Considering the past and present mentality of the leaders of ISKCON one may conclude that these leaders are keeping the movement in darkness.

[PADA: This is a good summary analysis. They defund the child protection managers office and staff. They also removed a child protection manager in Mayapur and replaced that manager with a new one who says -- "what history of child abuse"? -- because they are in a constant state of re-writing their history. And that is all designed to sweep the child abuse under the carpet, as has been done.

Then they place Bhakti Chaitanya swami in charge of dealing with their pedophile guru problem, but he evidently does not even know that pedophiles are not Krishna's guru successors? So he wants to hand off making a decision on their pedophile gurus to "the panel," which a woman just wrote to tell PADA is -- a panel that "does not even exist." It is another stalling technique. And it is not a panel that can over ride the India ICC board either, also seems to be the case.

Meanwhile, a video of Bhakti Chaitanya swami giggling and laughing at their child molester guru program shows -- many of them evidently think the whole issue of child abuse is a joke -- the whole while. And his giggling and laughing video has infuriated a number of PADA readers, one of whom said -- while our children are getting their anuses ruptured, these guys are grabbing the popcorn to watch the show while laughing? Which is why someone else said, "It is hideous and monstrous what they are doing."

OK so what does all this mean?

It means, there is no effective "Child Protection" in the current ISKCON society -- and there never has been under these current managers. The whole idea of protecting children is some sort of Benny Hill comedy show for these guys. The main thing they take seriously is -- their income and money. And that is why they need to keep Lokanath, because if they remove him, they will lose people -- and their income from those people. That is their whole focus, how do we get more money, and keep our existing money coming in?

How will they keep their fancy living facility with servants, nice car, nice Apple laptop, paid health care, if their income is disturbed? So this whole thing is a business. And it is described in the Isopanisad as "a guru business."

And so, thinking they are going to make a proper CPO, or a nice new panel, or any system to correct things is -- dreaming in color. We need to stop trying to fix what will never be fixed. We need to do what PADA has been doing all along, expose them and if possible, sue them. That is the only thing we can do to fix this situation.

And the good news is, more people are realizing that is the case. The ISKCON GBC as a group are corrupt -- to the core. They are incorrigible, they are fixed in their ways, and they are not going to change. We have to change the situation around them, not through them. And it is sad that someone like Hanuman has to come out and complain -- while many of my God brothers sit around joking and laughing, with the people who are joking and laughing at the child abuse problem. So we need to quit worrying about changing these guys, and make our own process of dealing with this TOTALLY INDEPENDENT of the whole rotten lot of them.

That is the only thing that will be effective, and it is being effective. Our expose is drying up their fan club, and getting more people to start to worship the bona fide acharya instead, and that is why we must continue on our own independent path, and jettison the lot of them and move on with our own independent process. ys pd]

R Dasi (is feeling broken). I will no longer be affiliated with ISKCON!!! I will not raise my children in a society that protects child abusers to uphold THEIR IMAGE!! I will not support a society that has taken the livelihood of my brothers & sisters and myself.

Time and time again we have been let down, left to walk this earth with our inner child shattered by the horrific atrocious abuse (rape, sexual abuse, psychological  torture, starvation and worse). This society took so much from us and continually keep those abusers in power & high steam. My mental well being is tired, my soul is broken, the words of those who fight this fight fall upon deaf ears. THERE'S no support!! With a society that is worth Millions there's NOT A PENNY TO HELP PAY FOR THERAPY FOR THOSE WHO WERE ABUSED BY ISKCON MEMBER.

[PADA: Yep, we have to be independent, expose them to prevent further victims, and help the existing victims. Going to them to petition their help is like asking a rattlesnake to watch your baby kittens. Not a good plan!]

B Dasi: Basu Ghosh is not only attacking the victims, he is defending the perps. And that is why the GBC puts him in charge of everything all the time.

  1. RND: Emotions in India are running very high, indeed one could even say that Lokanath Maharaj is pretty much the poster-boy, the face, the mascot & very significant figurehead for ISKCON India. I can't realistically see any changes coming soon.

KD: Yes, the GBC failed to act appropriately when they should have and are now utterly impotent. No way they would have the moral courage to stand up against the ICC. They are being held to ransom.

    YD: Yup...

KD: From being irrelevant they're now threatening to become a laughing stock.

PADA: Yep, emotions are running high and some of their people are writing to tell me the whole problem is "caucasians attacking the brown body guy." Really? Except the girl Lokanath molested is an India descent female. Why should we excuse molesters of India descent ladies, or any other ladies? I don't get it, we should allow a brown body ADULT male to molest a brown body MINOR girl, because otherwise, we are racists? When are these people going to start to make any sort of reasonable counter arguments? And they are supposed to be preaching dharma to us -- and not vice verse.

  2. PADA: Agreed. We have to be careful not to judge all the Hindus equally, because we do have a number of Prabhupadanugas in India and their number is increasing. Yup! Not all "Hindus" are blindly following the GBC's bogus guru process. And we are also getting some new contacts in Bangladesh and other places. We are winning gradually everywhere, and India is no exception. Yes, a portion of Hindus are supporting the GBC's guru process, but not all by any means. And they are not even that big even in India. The Bangalore group and other Prabhupada centered groups are also growing there etc. Yep, it is a small group that supports them in the end, even in India, agreed. ys pd
