Rocana Re-Writes History (Update)

Challenging the Zonal Acarya System, Part Two

BY: SUN EDITORS

Aug 24, 2017 — CANADA (SUN) —

Before we continue in presenting part two of this paper, we would like to offer a few comments. First, this manuscript is formatted in many sections with very long passages, which can be quite difficult to read on a computer screen. We have taken the liberty of breaking the text down into more readable paragraphs, but we have added a notation – [..>] – to mark the places where para breaks were added.

Many readers have no doubt wondered, as we did, why this very important historical paper is not readily available online. For more than twenty years now, the devotees have been publishing anything and everything found in the archives about ISKCON and Srila Prabhupada. Yet strangely enough, this document does not seem to be among them.

ISKCON GBCs and Gurus would never publish the paper, for obvious reasons. They have tried for many years to purge the memory of the Zonal Acarya era from ISKCON's history books. But why have the Ritviks/Prabhupadanugas not published and broadcast this paper? Nearly every piece of evidence documenting the GBC's failings has been posted and quoted threadbare by the Ritviks. But not this one… And in a few segments to come, the likely reason for this will be seen.

This very important 1979 paper, which a few now prominent Ritvik-vadis undoubtedly helped to write, serves to seriously undermine the entire Ritvik position. It describes in clear detail just what the understanding was, immediately before and after Srila Prabhupada accepted maha-samadhi, about his intentions for diksa initiations in ISKCON. And most importantly, it establishes the fact that the July 9th Letter was never understood to be referring to post-samadhi diksa initiations. Just the opposite.

[PADA: Rocana is trying to re-write history here.

Some of the "important papers" written in 1979 were co-penned by Kailash Chandra dasa, and he thought that some (or many?) of the disciples of Srila Prabhupada could accept the post of diksha gurus -- and become another sin-absorbing de facto successor to Jesus -- if they were Madhyama bhaktas. Kailash at the time was not far afield from what the GBC's gurus were saying, that less than uttama can become diksha gurus.

And Kailash assumed some of the disciples might be close to -- or already be Madhyamas. At least he assumed -- they could become so soon. If we look at the writings of folks like Kailash Chandra das over time, he refers often to his "Madhyam diksha guru" theme and idea.

Fine except, Srila Prabhupada never said Madhyama devotees could absorb sins like Jesus? Nor did he ever say any of his disciples are Madhyamas, or they would attain that soon? Nor did any of the 11 so-called appointed gurus act like Madhyamas? Nor has Rocana / Kailash or anyone else of this group identified who is their alleged Madhyama guru, if indeed there is one somewhere?

Or perhaps Kailash thought many devotees or even himself could become Madhyama soon, apparently a position he still holds today. Kailash was never "a ritvik vada." He thought that one, or some, or maybe even many disciples would or could become diksha gurus. These alleged Madhyama gurus could thus absorb sins like another sort of Jesus. Rocana got a letter from Bhakta das saying the same thing essentially, many of the disciples of Srila Prabhupada should be stepping forward to be diksha gurus, ... and they should thus claim to be able to absorb sins like Jesus. Except Srila Prabhupada never said anything like this?

Simultaneously they say the worship of Srila Prabhupada is like the Christians, so they were not in favor of establishing Srila Prabhupada as the factual acharya then, and they are not now. Other people who wrote a few things in those days were folks like Dheera Krishna swami, Pancadravida swami and others, and they sympathized with Sridhara Maharaja, who was saying the 11 are acharyas. And they remained with Sridhara up to today.

Sorry Rocana! In 1979 we did not have: the appointment tape; we did not have the letters; we did not have the 1977 conversations; we did not have the will; and anyone who had inside info on a few of these things (like Yasodanananda) were booted out of the society. We did not have these documents, so we were not really able to make as convincing of counter points.

Meanwhile Kailash / Rocana and their dedicated groupies like Ajit Krishna / Kim Moller / Torben etc. never tells us, who will be the guru of ISKCON? They tell us, we are not supposed to worship Srila Prabhupada now, that is the ritvik deviation, we should worship instead their current living acharya who is -- no one?

At the same time Rocana says we can offer bhogha to (the GBC's gurus?) people by placing their photos on the altars just for the arotike, but he never tells us which or whom these people are? We should offer bhogha to the photo of a person, what person? And did we forget that generally the photo of a GBC guru is for only his appointed zone, that would make Rocana still promoting zonal gurus?

Its better to worship no one than to worship the acharya?

Yep, same problem we are having with Hanuman dasa (Croatia), he says we are bogus for our promoting worshiping Prabhupada, we need to worship his living messiah person, who is again a nameless and evidently -- non-existing -- person. So this is clearly mayavada, worship of nothing is mayavada, and that is what they worship. Rocana, we did not have these documents in 1979, your wonderful living gurus hid them! And when Sulochana published some of them in 1985, he was murdered in 1986, remember?

Anyway I like your current position Rocana, all glories to -- nobody! That is never going to fly, which is why you have no actual movement to display, there is no movement that worships no one. Its dead in the water from the get go. Rocana also handily forgets we did not get the poison tapes until 1997 either, he keeps forgetting that these documents were being hidden and suppressed, and even suppressed with violence and murders, we did not have them in 1979, and we had to fight tooth and nail to get them later.
