Some of her folks think she is an incarnation of Durga Devi.
LDD: What's up with this Amma person???!!!
Why are some of you ISKCON's devotees / followers wasting your time and energy to go to her "darshans"??!! And get her "transcendental hugs"? And worship her as the current incarnation of Durga Ma?
"The greatest crime against truth is to make others believe that one is realized -- when it is not the case" (A Tibetan saying... they are smart people!!!) Can someone explain to me the philosophy behind Amma, if she has any at all?
For the life of me, I do not understand how Krishna's devotees -- who have had direct access to the most elaborate, most profound spiritual VEDIC knowledge through an authentic parampara and pure devotee of Sri Krsna, namely Srila Prabhupada, are attracted to this cheap display of false identification with Durga Maa, for crying out loud!
I mean, come on people!!! Durga Maa, is the material energy personified!!! In fact, the REAL Durga Maa will kick her in the behind! Have you people not understood anything Srila Prabhupada has given us? She is a fraud! It's a scam! And you all should know better (if you have read any of Srila Prabhupada's books)!!! At most -- she does some charity work.
Hare Krsna!!!!!!!! Jaya Srila Prabhupada!!!!! If now you don't like me anymore, you are welcome to go along -- without me.
*** SB canto 5: One should approach a guru who can extinguish the blazing fire of this material world, the struggle for existence, people want to be cheated, and therefore they go to yogis and svamis who play tricks, but tricks do not mitigate the miseries of material life...............
*** .... Such a guru does not manufacture gold or juggle words.
*** He is well versed in the conclusions of Vedic knowledge (vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedyaḥ [Bg. 15.15].
*** He is freed from all material contamination and is fully engaged in Kṛṣṇa's service.
*** If one is able to obtain the dust of the lotus feet of such a guru, his life becomes successful. Otherwise he is baffled both in this life and in the next.
*** SB Canto 8: .... By the mercy of the Lord Viṣṇu, one can be completely freed from material contamination and go back home, back to Godhead.
*** Therefore the benedictions offered by the demigods cannot compare to even one ten-thousandth of the Lord's benedictions.
*** One should not, therefore, try to obtain benedictions from the demigods or false gurus. One should aspire only for the benediction offered by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
Lecture on SB 5.5.18 -- Vrndavana, November 6, 1976: So these are the qualification of guru. Why one should go to a guru to see some magic? One who can make some gold, one who can make some... So many magicians who are becoming guru. This is going on. The public, they do not know what is the meaning of guru, and the cheaters, they get the opportunity of becoming false gurus.
Check these and other quotes for yourselves (if your spiritual life is really worth something to you).
[PADA: The GBC preaches since 1977 that we need to worship "the living person guru," but unfortunately many / most the living persons they promoted are later found to be engaged in debauchee behaviors, thus most folks are rejecting their whole program.
This is creating a vacuum, and then many "outside of ISKCON" live gurus are coming to take away the ISKCON general congregation folks and transport them off to other projects. That is why we see so many ISKCON devotees going to the Gaudiya Matha, the Radha Kunda Babas, mother Amma, and who knows what else. Some ISKCON devotees have also gone back to being Christians. We think that as long as the GBC's false gurus are hijacking the post of acharyas, more and more ISKCON people will drift off to these other leaders and programs.
Of course, since Amma does not preach that acharyas are often debauchees, her program is right away much more attractive than the GBC's, because these deviants are preaching that the path to God is to worship their chain of debauchees and / or those voted in as acharya by debauchees.
So the exodus will go on as long as they preach these bogus ideas. Then again if some ISKCON devotees are attracted to these programs, they are also not very advanced, but that is also partly the fault of the leaders for not helping them advance. ys pd]
