"I am the Guru" Syndrome

Pratyatosa Dasa:

Dear Prabhus, Hare Krishna! Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

A "spiritually advanced ISKCON Guru" other than Srila Prabhupada is an oxymoron. It is not possible. He is just pretending. An actually spiritually advanced disciple of Srila Prabhupada would, by definition, be a proponent of Prabhupada's "ritvik henceforward" prescription for all future initiations within ISKCON, as propounded by his July 9th, 1977 letter to all GBC men and to all temple presidents. A truly spiritually advanced disciple of Prabhupada would not be envious of him. Therefore he would never, ever want to usurp Srila Prabhupada's constitutional position as the sole diksa guru of ISKCON!

Besides, he is extremely offensive, so how is it possible for him to make any spiritual advancement? He is extremely offensive to his godbrothers by, in effect, saying, "Ha, ha. I'm qualified to be a guru and you're not!" He is extremely offensive to his godsisters by, in effect, saying, "You can't be a guru like me because you are a woman!" He is also extremely offensive to the 2nd generation. What you have is a former drug/sex addicted hippie who was raised in a meat-eating family trying to force the 2nd generation, who never ate meat or took intoxication in their entire lives, to bow down to him, worship him, and take initiation from him. How can anyone get more offensive than that? He is obviously very envious of the 2nd generation also.

He should hang his head in shame because he has given Srila Prabhupada's beloved Hare Krishna Movement a very bad reputation. He should beg forgiveness for his multitude of offenses, and stop pretending to be a spiritually advanced guru. He should beg forgiveness from his godbrothers, his godsisters, the 2nd generation, and especially from Srila Prabhupada!
