Actually, Atheism (that which opposes the existence of a Supreme Being from Whom everything is emanating) is an idea that has been propounded by God Himself through the ages in diversed disguises (Lord Budha, Lord Shiva, as Sankaracarya, etc.) So, one should steadfastly remain focused on one's faith regarding the authencity of the personality of the Lord and His pure emissaries (Parampara). By remaining true to one's individual efforts to recover one's sidha-svarupa, the alluring influence of Mayadevi, the Lord's divine regulatrix for this mundane realm, will gradually subside. Then, nothing concerning this world and it's intricacies, even while they may appear to be of a spiritual nature, will no longer be a distraction in our eternal service to the Lord and His pure representative.
