If any of my online friends know of my ex husband, also known by devotees as Aniruddha das (disciple of Jayadvaita swami) or by his birth name Andrew Lampitt from Wolverhampton (he served at Bhaktivedanta Manor for many years, but I think might be serving at Leicester temple nowadays as His Godbrother is the Leicester temple president and Godsister is the temple president's wife are there), anyway if you know who he is and can help, please can you message me.
I've been trying to legally divorce him for many years to date and he point blank refuses to acknowledge any court and lawyer letters. My only option is now to take further action as he is crippling my financial status and I cannot hold this struggle up for much longer without complete financial breakdown.
To many he seems like a saintly person who is well known for performing wedding ceremonies, but he has not been kind to me behind closed doors, far from it. Over the years majority of temple devotees have chosen to side with him when I left him. I was homeless and penniless as he controlled all the finances and he would threaten my life and made sure I would never rebuild my life by selling our home, keeping all the profit of the sale, emptying my bank account and left me with a bank debt which he knew very well I could not repay.
I struggled for many years, he made sure devotees turned their backs on me by spreading lies and that way nobody would show me the slightest kindness or support (apart of a handful of devotees who have kept in contact with me, you know who you are). But, with help from non-devotees I managed to get back into min wage work and afford renting a small room, paying my way month by month, just barely. The bank debt has been increasing for years and it has completely destroyed my credit rating, which is exactly what he wanted.
I am calling for help, the court has requested a recent photo of him, but I have had no contact with him or know if he still looks the same. Does anyone here still see him? Knows what he looks like? Have a picture of him? It would help the court process and I'd be very grateful for the help.
I've been advised to take him to court and fight for the money he owes me, the money he stole, even though that sounds like justice, I am not going to proceed with a lengthy court battle (which I'm sure he would be delighted to hear). He has all the money and he also has devotee lawyers backing him up and not to mention he has temple congregation and his own family standing by him, I am a lowly struggling women with no money and no backing, no family and nobody else in my corner. Even though the court might be in favour of my case due to the torment I was forced to endure and my current situation, I think it better to avoid reliving the horror in court in front of everyone. All I want is to proceed with the divorce and somehow find a means to pay off the debt he has selfishly abandoned on me.
I guess since I am considered fallen and an outsider by ISKCON because I left my husband, not many will respond sincerely and probably feel the need to attack to protect their friend despite how he treated me. But, I am only reaching out to the ones who want to help me, so I am begging only those who wish to help for a response, others need not.
Any information would be good and help in this case and I would be very grateful.
Thank you
Thanks M Dasi. Yes, "rampant vicious misogyny" is a serious understatement of this problem. We agree. Many women have been given severe mistreatment in this process, while various male sexual predator gurus, and other bogus gurus, swamis and yogis, and their crew of various deviants and crooks, seem to be given all sorts of leeway and benefits. Yup. And that explains why PADA is not popular with this lot, wel yup! ys pd
