[PADA: It is amazing to us that so many of these neophyte "acharya wanna be folks" get sick, fall down, and even die from taking the post of diksha gurus and absorbing sins. Yet they just keep on making more and more disciples and followers and taking on boat loads of more sins, like nothing has been wrong. Now the GBC wants to make women into diksha gurus -- so they can also take boat loads of the sins of others. What could go wrong with that?
Mahanidhi has supported the idea that kanisthas can take the post of diksha gurus and absorb sins. Perhaps he is now paying the price for that deviation himself. He has also jumped on board with the people taking initiation from other sampradayas and changing one's spiritual name, which Srila Prabhupada condemned.
Lets also not forget that Srila Prabhupada told the story of the snake being eaten alive by the ants. The snake was the former guru, and the ants were the former disciples. The disciples were infuriated to discover that their guru had not absorbed their sins, so they were allowed to take revenge on their former guru by taking birth as ants, so they could eat their former guru alive when he took the body of a serpent. In sum, these Mahanidhi type guys are in way over their heads.
Its also odd that a number of these people seem to be getting these debilitating strokes, starting with Swarupa Damodar's stroke way back in the 1980s. How did you guess, some of his followers began to say "Swarupa Damodar is sick from taking our sins, so we need to pray for him." Well yup, that means they almost all know what is going on here.
So lets get this straight, we violate the orders for neophytes to NOT take sins, then we pray to Krishna to help us keep our deviation going? So we can rob the bank, and then pray to Krishna to help keep us from getting arrested? How is that going to work in practical real life?

Thanks for your question ND: I think at best these Mahanidhi type guys are sahajiyas. They are associating with various babajis, reading the babajis "higher rasika" books, living in Radha Kunda etc. -- which is exactly what Srila Prabhupada warned us to NOT DO. Srila Prabhupada wanted the main emphasis on preaching in the West. A lot of these guys have helped ruin the preaching in the West, and then fled to India as a sort of refugee camp / hide out for bogus sadhus.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile they have not really explained that acharyas are pure and this whole "falling down acharyas" process of the GBC is false, and that no gurus were appointed, and that people need to take shelter of the acharya Srila Prabhupada and so on. So they are misleading people into accepting conditioned souls as gurus, including they themselves are posing as some sort of gurus. It is amazing that they see so many warnings in shastra, and so many of their contemporaries falling down into scandals, getting sick, and even dying prematurely and so on, and they still think this is the right path forward.
Basically, they have invested their lives in the big lie that conditioned souls are gurus, and they could not admit that this is a big lie at this point, because it is their livelihood career. Admitting would make them have to earn an honest income and they are never going to do that. And the followers have invested their lives in supporting and worshiping these guys, and so its tough as nails for them to admit they made a big mistake backing and worshiping these bogus sadhu and guru guys as well.
To sum, its the cheaters and the cheated just as Srila Prabhupada explains, and the future lives of the cheater gurus is very dark indeed. Although personally -- I hold no grudges against these guys. Karma is already catching up to them, and it going to catch up to them more as time progresses. And thus their fate is not too good, because shastra and Srila Prabhupada say the fate of false swamis, yogis, gurus, incarnations and sadhus is not good. And so now they are in the hands of the higher authority. In sum, they are sort of doomed, and so there is no need for us to kind of gloat about that process at this stage. We should feel sorry for people who had a good chance to advance, but they went backwards into other forms of illusion and got ensnared thereby. ys pd
