PADA: Documentary on the problem of "shunning of widows" or "unwanted widows." The good news is, at least some of them are taking shelter of Krishna and Vrndavana -- where they may attend temples and chant the holy names. And there are some temples that provide some basic help and care for them -- at least to some extent.
And many of these widows are chanting and practicing some form of Krishna worship regularly. The bad news is, there is no truly organized process to care for them. Anyway, Krishna is always glad to see people surrender to Him, despite sometimes they may surrender due to distress. Then again, Akshaya Patra is closing in on feeding 2 million children, same problem, their care is not always well organized. ys pd
