PADA: According to my associate living in Alachua, this is the main place where ex-ISKCON devotees now go -- "to retire and die." At the same time, there is not a lot of organized facility for their care, although some volunteers are doing things here and there. 

A lady friend of PADA said she was not getting much help at all in Alachua, and she was nearly starving from lack of food supplies. She later died in a "karmi" old age home, since no one ever came to help her enough from the devotee side. 

Another PADA lady friend died in an old folks home -- when she fell asleep and her cigarette fell down and started her bed on fire. There are many old photos of her with Srila Prabhupada in the early days, quite obviously she was abandoned and forgotten.  

Hence, many funders are being made to help some of them out. This is sad because many of these folks are the people who built ISKCON up, only to be jettisoned out later by the smash and grab "living gurus." Anyway, if someone can help these folks that would be nice. ys pd angel108b@yahoo.com
