JD: Heard this story before. The lazy cleaner sweeps the dirt and old banana peels under the carpet. After some time, the carpet starts to smell funny. Covering it up and allowing it to stink, just made the whole situation worse. And makes the eventual clean up a whole lot worse to deal with.
The GBC has tried every trick in the book to suppress the real smell they are making. It has worked for some time. But it won't work forever. Eventually, the stink is just too noticed by too many people, it cannot be covered up any longer.
We are gradually coming to that point. Eventually, the whole situation will explode into a big clean up effort, with all sorts of volunteer people coming forward to help, because child abuse is just too intolerable to keep a lid on indefinitely. And then ISKCON will look even worse, because often times ... it is not the crime that is the worst element, it is the cover up.
The crimes are bad enough, the cover up is simply horrendous. And that is how this will all be known as the GBC's eternal legacy in history. You allowed crimes, and even worse, you covered up for the criminals to allow and enable their crimes.
That is already how they are known to many of us, and more people will see the same thing as us eventually. In other words, they are doomed to look terrible in history, and therefore they should repent now to at least make the damage less for ISKCON, and themselves.
This lady is coming out to help, and she will bring others on board to help, and the momentum will gather strength to strength ...
