Chakra Departs / Raktak Health Update

PADA: Chakra Best (Nama's child) has departed in a motorcycle incident. Motorcycles are a real hazard anywhere, but especially in places like India. You really don't have much protection. 

A devotee motorcycle rider says -- he has to ride a bike to avoid the constant traffic clogs around here. He said, if you have to ride a bike, ride a dirt bike (like this one). It rides much higher and then you can see way down the road over the cars. And it is a much safer view, and they are a lot more agile and nimble than a road bike. And then, ride slowly and carefully, because there are a lot of idiots out there who do not even see motorcycles. He placed a "loud pipe" on his bike so people could hear him coming better.

That being said, all this advice is too late to help Chakra. Yes, as a matter of fact, there is danger at every step. You are here now, and then poof, you aren't. Thus, we are hoping for the best for his family and friends, and that his soul will move on to a better place. God speed spirit soul! 

Someone else commented -- they thought our kids would be much more pure than us seniors, and they would be the next wave of leaders of ISKCON. OK they would be the leaders now. And they would expand ISKCON nicely. Then -- their kids would be much more pure -- and save and expand ISKCON further. 

None of that seems to have happened as they thought it would. Rather most of our kids abandoned ISKCON, and then their kids have little to zero interest in participating in ISKCON. It is just the same old folks home / worn out / never retiring / not letting go / Jayapataka and his little clique of Radhanath, Bhakti vikas swami, Basu Ghosh, Lokanath, Bhavananda, Hari sauri etc. -- the people no one likes, and they will never work with. Forever. They just took the assets of ISKCON, held them in a vice grip, and would not let all these others enter.

UPDATE on Raktak prabhu

Unfortunately, Raktak prabhu's situation has not improved after surgery today. Further measures are being considered. Per Radha Krishna das.

Prayers for RAKTAK prabhu

Hare Krishna. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

On Friday Raktak Prabhu was taken to North Florida Hospital after multiple heart attacks the past week. His blood pressure is extremely high and the different medications given are not helping. There is concern that a blood clot is causing his condition so today the doctors will do an exploratory operation to look for the clot. He is in good spirits but desires that the devotees of our community know he appreciates them all and asks for their prayers.

Raktak has lived in the Alachua community for around six years and is soon to turn 62. He has helped many of the devotees in our community by fixing their cars and helping with building projects many time for free or super low cost. His service attitude to devotees is second to none and helps others to the point of neglecting his own needs. He has a fiery nature, a real stand up personally but has a soft heart and a great love for the Lord. He is the most renounced person I know and preaches and chants everywhere he goes.

Please offer your prayers that Lord Krishna guide the surgeon's hand so that Raktak prabhu can recover and continue serving devotees, a service he loves so much!

[PADA: Good luck. Devotees need to watch their diet. There are some very unhealthy vegetarians out there, and some very over weight devotees who are just eating the wrong stuff. Or too much. Anyway, we wish him all the best. Someone else said, many overweight devotees suffer from eating disorders because they are too stressed out. They eat as comfort food. Umm, well perhaps. ys pd]
