3,000 children march for Yamuna River

http://news.vrindavantoday.org/2014/09/schoolchildren-participate-rally-yamuna/

[PADA: As far as social and welfare programs are concerned, this is a good one, we should all help preserve the holy rivers of India. Its a good idea, however, as the speakers noted, the government has been slow to act on actually getting the job done -- as they had promised before the elections.

Its always a major problem in India, getting things like this organized, despite promised help. We hope for the sake of current and future pilgrims that this job gets underway, never mind that the river is basically hardly usable in its current state. Vrndavana should be better cared for, plain and simple, and we hope that the building of a large temple there will attract government funds to upgrade the infrastructure and facilities, including, the river. ys pd]
