> Subject: H.H. Bhakti Vikasa Swami - Banned In The USA!
Home Base: ISKCON Baroda
Dear Maharajas, Prabhus and Matas,
Namonamaha. Jaya Srila Prabhupada!
Just saw the following article on the Sampradaya Sun. It appears, below. To be frank, I'm deeply disturbed by the action taken by my one time "boss" (at the time, the "head clerk / dispatcher" in the incense warehouse at ISKCON Chicago, circa February-April, 1973) and now ISKCON GBC for part (or all) of Florida -- and GBC Vice Chairman -- Tamohara Prabhu, as you'll read in the article, reproduced from the Sun website, below.
Before issuing such an edict, Tamohara Prabhu would have had the courtesy, grace, and humility to have written privately to Bhakti Vikas Swami and asked him to "show cause" before issuing an outright "ban edict".
The ISKCON authorities who wrote to Maharaj banning him from lecturing seem to have been "deliberately vague" in their accusation that his lectures "cause disturbance". On the contrary, his lectures have caused hundreds, possibly thousands to join ISKCON and take to the "bhakti marg", the path of devotion. He's also inspired his disciples to distribute Srila Prabhupada's books in many places throughout the world.
After due consideration, I've created an online petition to protest this unfair and unjust action. It is my hope that many, many devotees will lend their good names to protest this unfair and unjust action by signing this petition. My hope is that Tamohara Prabhu and the other devotees who have banned Bhakti Vikas Swami from lecturing will realize "the error of their ways".
Here is the URL, where you can sign the petition:

Thank you in advance for your kind consideration of the above and for taking a "principled stand" against this arbitrary and unfair action.
Hope this meets you well.
das, Basu Ghosh Das
