PADA to Giri Nayaka dasa

GN: One argument of ritviks is, that ISKCON gurus were never appointed by Srila Prabhupada. That is true, of course.

[PADA: So they are liars, agreed. Liars cannot be counted even as bona fide kanisthas, because kanisthas have the qualities of a brahmana (satyam). So they are not even kanisthas, agreed.]

GN: And ISKCON gurus proved well in the past, that their guidance is questionable. But somewhere I noticed unanswered question for ritviks: When was Srila Prabhupada appointed by his guru, to become guru.

[PADA: Srila Prabhupada says the guru is appointed by Krishna -- he gets direct dictation from Krishna. Thus the guru is an external manifestation of Krishna. So there is no external piece of paper or ecclessiastical appointment vote required, its a question of internal empowerment.

Foolish GBC said they were "empowering gurus" in their reports in the 1980s, they thought they were God Almighty and they could empower the acharyas. What fools, they actually stated they were empowering the acharyas, apparently Krishna is no longer needed to dictate to the acharyas, the GBC is doing that? So they are actually saying they are superior to God, they are taking over His tasks. The GBC could not empower a peanut to move half and inch.]

GN: Now, just to be clear, I’m not doubting in Srila Prabhupadas authorisation. I’m just saying that there is no specific written authorisation as per expectation of ritviks, but there is well known authorisation in vaisnava sampradaya, that qualified disciple becomes guru after his guru’s departure.

[PADA: Right, if a person is being empowered by the supersoul, this is not going to be a vote or a written documented process. The GBC concocted this whole idea that you get a piece of paper saying you were appointed as guru in the GBC annual reports, and this piece of paper proves you are a guru. This is foolish, a piece of paper proves God is empowering you? This is all ecclessiastical nonsense. Agreed.]

GN: Of course, this doesn’t mean, that any discipe becomes qualified to become authorized guru. It is open to all, but only a few, if any at all, will be recipients of their guru’s mercy. Srila Prabhupada intended for all his followers to be gurus.

[PADA: Well yes, a kindergarten teacher expects all of his students to eventually become PHD brain surgeons, that does not mean you then hand off five horse power black and decker reciprocating buzz saws with titanium blades to kindergarten children and tell them to chop open people's heads to perform surgery now?]

GN: Of course, GBC church will jump “you see, that’s us, diksa, DIKSA!” And ritvik church will jump “all gurus, ok, but only siksa, not diksa. Diksa ONLY Srila Prabhupada….! Diksa, DIKSA..”

[PADA: Well yes, divyam jnanam which is destroying sins means diksha, of course the guru absorbs some of these sins himself, so yes, a neophyte cannot absorb sins like Jesus. Agreed.]

GN: Others learn from Srila Prabhupada, try to follow at their best, and teach others the best they can about relationship of soul with Krsna. They are not perfect, but as long as they repeat Srila Prabhupada’s perfect words, there is perfection.

[PADA: OK except the GBC says their acharyas are most of the time falling down since most of their acharyas fell, and they also say their acharyas are often found -- engaged in illicit sex with men, women and children. However, even Mr. Snuffles my neigbor's cat is not engaged in illicit sex with men, women and children. They have reduced the status of acharya to less than animal life, so this means they are not repeating anything from guru.]

GN: They are gurus in a way, and don’t bother about diksa, because they know that the point is not in who initiates who. Luckily there are plenty of such devotees, and their numbers will increase by the mercy of Lord Krsna and His Sampradaya.

[PADA: Right, just preach as do not claim to be able to absorb sins like Jesus, so be the street sweeper humble devotee like Jayananda dasa and / or the vartma pradarshaka guru / siksa guru / preacher / or priest, this is the idea of the ritviks as well. Agreed. ys pd]

  1. "God told me to be guru", basically this is what each and everyday another cheating self-appointed wannabe says in India.

"Krishna appoints gurus". This is what Guru Maharadshi, Vivekananda, Maharishi, Sai Baba, also said, God appointed us..

Prabhupada: "A guru can become guru when he’s ordered by his guru. That’s all. Otherwise nobody can become guru."

"So my Guru Maharaja's idea was amongst the members of GBC who would come out successful and self-effulgent acarya would be automatically selected."

Notice, this is what Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Maharaja instruchted to his disciples. Whereas Prabhupada did not order his disciples the same.

"An actual acarya must be spiritually empowered by the previous acarya because of his total surrender to his spiritual master."

"Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, at the time of his departure, requested all his disciples to form a governing body and conduct missionary activities cooperatively."
