PADA: Dear Mahasrngha dasa, Sorry a kanistha cannot become a diksha guru. "Diksha" means: someone who gives PURE divyama jnanam (di) -- and he absorb the sins of the aspirant (ksha) aka diksha -- ok like Jesus absorbs sins. Srila Prabhupada says we neophytes cannot even allow others to touch our feet, or else we will be acting as gurus and absorbing their sins, in which case we will GET SICK, or FALL DOWN, or both. And there has been an epidemic of both results in ISKCON?
This is why these "gurus" are always, how did you guess, getting sick and falling down, they have no capacity to absorb the sins of others. This goes back to the original 1977 appointed guru deviation, the GBC and Sridhara maharaja saying that these 11 kanisthas were appointed as gurus, which would make Srila Prabhupada defective for creating these 11 KANISTHA gurus. Sorry! He never appointed kanisthas as gurus, he said us kanisthas cannot operate as diksha gurus, and if a kanistha attempts that (as stated in Nectar Of Instruction) he will eventually become degraded. An epidemic of that symptom has been going on right in front of our faces!
Hmmm, have we not ALL noticed that they are becoming degraded left, right and center? No, a kanistha has to operate ONLY as an agent of the uttama, you can call him a preacher, a priest, a ritvik, a humble sweeper on the street devotee, or something else, but he is not a diksha guru.
Just like the janitor in the hospital who serves the brain surgeon, he is not -- a brain surgeon? And if we give the janitor the same title and function as the brain surgeon, and give him a buzz saw to start to open up people's heads for surgery, we simply make a lot of dead people from very bad surgeries. The kanistha cannot even absorb his own sins, much less the sins of many others. This is ritvik-diculous. ys pd
