S Dasa: The systemic institutionalized horrific sexual and physical abuse takes such a horrible toll. My heart goes out to Vedasar Prabhu ** who I know personally as Temple President in Atlanta. I have been seriously studying the psychological effects and helping victims / survivors since I found out about it  when I first visited Mayapur.

The whole thing on so many levels is tragic for him. I would encourage everyone to seriously study what the Stockholm Syndrome ** is, what post-traumatic stress disorder is, etc.

Not only is it tragic what was done to him, but also that he kept his silence and chose to be involved in ISKCON management for all these decades. Although in this sense on some level his silence contributed to the abuse of so many more children, I would encourage everyone to be compassionate and understand how common this is with victims / survivors. It is wonderful that he is the exception to the rule and did not become an abuser himself which is much more common.

As is often the case it is his diagnosis of his terminal illness that triggered him to finally become brave enough to let the chips fall where they may and finally speak the truth and sound the alarm.

I hope we can all support him with love and prayers.

There are so many other victims his age and older that are still so dis-empowered they choose not to speak out. What to speak of the Satanic ritual abuse, child sacrifice etc. that only two people I'm aware of are speaking out on social media.
One thing I really pray for is he finds the strength before he passes to call out his Guru Jayapataka who has overseen, covered up and facilitated this horrible systematic, sanctioned, abuse for almost 50 years as the GBC.

I will close quoting a god sibling [PADA] for everyone to ponder.

"More than a few people have told me the leaders are pathological liars, narcissists and / or psychopaths, including victims, media folks, some law enforcement folks etc. In fact this is one of the questions I often get from law enforcement, media, scholars and many others on a regular basis --if any of these leaders actually believed in karma and God, how could they act so abominably and exploit and mistreat others so horribly."

My answer? They do not believe in karma, in God or even in common moral principles that are followed by the atheists, they are less than atheists. They do not believe in punishment in the afterlife -- because they do not believe there is any. They are more of less existential nihilists -- there is no afterlife, there is no purpose to existence, and thus all morals are meaningless. And often I get the response: that nicely explains their lack of conscience.

We silenced the whistle blowers --

and victims! Bravo!

The many devotees of ISKCON need to stop silently genuflecting before their sociopathic abusers, who only use the simple devotees for that free ride and
cushy lifestyle that many of ISKCON’s guru-exploiters are famous for.
