‘I’m The Return of Christ’: Alleged Polygamist Cult Leader Hit With Charges in Georgia (yahoo.com)
PADA: Yep, ISKCON is not the only place where dubious people are claiming to be God's messiahs and successors. It is a widespread phenomenon in Kali Yuga.
As usual, the false leaders are generally making themselves into pitiable crying victims. "I am only trying to do God's work on earth, and do good. But just look! The ignorant people fail to recognize my pure nature." Hee hee. Not exactly, you are a cheater and finally -- more people are catching on, that is all.
Of course, a lot of times these guys have some attractive good things in their presentation. Sounds great! Sign me up! Unfortunately, this is mixed up with all sorts of various bad things. OK like controlling and manipulating people to exploit them.
That is why the Srimad Bhagavatam says, falling for a false guru is like jumping into a shallow river to get relief from the hot sun, only to hit your head on the rocks. Wow! ys pd
