Devotees Needed: Independent New Mayapur

Dear Prabhu,

My obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

In front of New Mayapur, France, we inherited 30 acres of forest with 14 houses, one theater, one huge hostel and a factory. Inside the factory, we accumulated dozens of doors and windows from the abandoned houses.

We are followers of Srila Prabhupada, and our rehabilitation project is barely tolerated by ISKCON, as they see us as competition. Nevertheless, they have no objection for us to have regular darshans of their Lordships, three sets of beautiful deities, and attend festivals and Sunday feasts.

Please, could you give this information to any kind of Prabhupadanugas that they will be welcome to apply for a house to restore or setting up their own workshop. Skills and / or laksmi are accepted. Prasadam and lodging are available for free. We have most of the required tools and equipment already.

[PADA: This is a good idea. We also have Prabhupadanugas living across from New Talavan and they have a very nice independent program -- with cows. I think this is the wave of the future -- more of these independent programs. ISKCON simply is never going to reform the way it needs to -- for accommodating us. 

The Sunnyvale Prabhupadanuga devotees moved to a small parcel with gardens and cows in Milpitas, so at least they are moving in the right direction.

Srila Prabhupada said we need to develop our own rural and self sufficient programs -- in 1977, because the mundane society will start to collapse. We are way behind schedule for doing that already. 

We also have a devotee associate here trying to find land in California, and so on and so forth, but ISKCON is not really trying to accomplish the same goals, nor are they contributing to these projects. They have all sorts of complex committees and commissions. Add to that all kinds of bogus scam programs that do not really work, and thus they have no actual idea why so many millions of people are shunning their operation, or why they cannot build projects effectively.
