The Bengali word for Institution is 'pratisthan'; minus the final 'n' what are we left with?
When the goals of the Institution no longer reflect the goals of its Founder, then the institution has become its own Entity. Those who collect their 'bread & butter' from that institution will work to maintain the Status Quo of the institution -- so as to insure their continued supply of 'bread & butter' (raised as 'Christians', Daily Bread you see, is very important!).
Just another damn Corporation to avoid AMAP as much as possible.
Canakhya Pandit said, "Three things you should neither get too close to, nor too far from: fire, the king & women (not sure about this last one but couldn't find the exact quote even after extensive searches). So maybe ISKCON should be added to the list. Some are bitter (that's too far) but getting too close could drive you crazy.
[PADA: Another devotee sent me an article about how psychopaths and narcissists thrive by making chaos, and especially by their technique of pitting various groups against one another -- to make themselves appear as the only person who can "lead" and save the chaotic situation etc. (which they helped generate).
All this is designed -- to maintain control -- because when things are going along in a sane environment, the devious operators will be isolated, exiled and not allowed their nefarious influence. He thinks ISKCON leaders intentionally create one crisis after another -- in order to make themselves out as the only persons who can control, "reform" and fix the problems, the very same problems they generated and created.
And the book changers are simply one aspect of this, they want to appear as "the only persons who know the real intent of Srila Prabhupada," never mind they burnt ISKCON to ashes already by misrepresenting his intent.
He said this technique is also used by megalomania type government leaders, who also try to create chaos, for the same reasons, so they can appear as the white knight in shining armor "important leader" needed to fix things. And this makes the victims more and more dependent on the narcissist for leadership. Meanwhile, this whip sawing of people's lives is causing people -- to go crazy (as we have seen around ISKCON).]
I still have the same suggestion. Do what Hansadutta did and Veda Guhya continues to do: Print Srila Prabhupada's books in their original form. Being the scholar that you always remind us you are, you should probably edit the originals yourself in the way that Srila Prabhupada instructed.
Then, since you have now garnered the participation of so many others, once the books have been edited properly, then your 'followers' can help you to get them printed. Or, better yet, disseminate Digital copies in the millions! Flood the Earth with this knowledge.
Don't depend on ISKCON leaders to change their tune; the melody (raga) that they play to. Continue to put pressure, but don't be surprised if they do nothing. That institution is compromised (in case you didn't already know that).
GD: Thanks for your words here, woven with a bit of impatience . . . Oh, have I told you that I'm a scholar? LOL. Seriously, what you've suggested here is happening one way or another, I can assure. I just can't provide any details. But in 2021, look forward to good things for Śrīla Prabhupāda's books.
