[PADA: There are a lot of devotees scattered in the Northern California area, now ravaged by a series of huge wild fires. We hope Krishna will look out for their safety.
We drove up to a part of the more effected region trying to help someone recover some of their property, but the police stopped us from entering the area. This situation is going to be a very devastating for many hundreds of thousands if not millions of people because it will impact the whole region in many ways, never mind a number of people and maybe millions of forest animals died already.
It seems that the earth is experiencing more and more ill effects from: hurricanes, floods, droughts, fires, mass shootings, dozens and dozens of various conflicts -- if not full on wars, mass refugee movements and suffering, and so many other inauspicious things, probably because -- the world is not endeavoring for Krishna consciousness. Srila Prabhupada said bad things would increase as Kali Yuga progresses, and it is coming to pass.
This is also why Srila Prabhupada said, finish up your business and get out of the material world, its not going to get a whole lot better here. How true! ys pd]
