Aindra dasa "history repeats" (Aindra pt. 2)

AINDRA DASA: It really depends on an individual's purity of purpose. Was the litigious disunity within Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Prabhupada's Gaudiya Matha, whereby his illustrious preaching mission became markedly dysfunctional, not "sanctioned"? Would not the ability or inability to learn important and perhaps rather costly lessons from all such reprehensible ungodly stagecraft be absolutely "sanctioned" in view of some far-reaching ultimate design or purpose?

[PADA: Srila Saraswati's post-1936 Gaudiya Matha mission broke down (as Aindra says -- into litigious disunity) because of a few motivated leaders taking over the post of guru without authority. Aindra further says this is: "reprehensible ungodly stagecraft." And therefore these false gurus are "play acting," or as Aindra describes here -- these false gurus engaged in a sort of "ungodly stagecraft."

Yes, false gurus are like actors on a theatrical play stage. The "stage actor" king who sits on a throne on a theatrical stage is -- not -- the real king. And more importantly, imitation of guru is "reprehensible" in addition to be ungodly. Is this reprehensible and ungodly behavior "sanctioned" by Krishna?

This is often the same question we get ourselves, why would Krishna "allow" or "sanction" the Gaudiya Matha or ISKCON to deteriorate? The answer is: Krishna allows all of us independent jivas to have our minute independence. Krishna in that sense "sanctions" all of our temporary activities, whether pure or demoniac -- but that does not mean He supports or endorses any / or all of our activities.

And as we see from the Gaudiya Matha's HISTORICAL example, we jiva souls can ruin our own religion if we cause that by commission (committing bad actions ourselves) or ommission (allowing bad actions to over take our religion). In the wider context of the world, all kinds of terrible things occur daily and the atheists blame God for "sanctioning" these evil actions.  However, just because evil things have been "allowed to happen" does not mean these behaviors are approved or authorized by Krishna.

Aindra says that the reason these evil things go on is -- so that we can learn from these events. There is a "design and purpose" to our witnessing such events, so we can learn from that experience. What we are supposed to learn from the Gaudiya Matha's history and downfall is, do not allow neophytes to pose as gurus, and thus allow the mission to become a stage of "ungodly stagecraft" for false gurus.

AINDRA DASA: Would history's horrific recurrence be anything but utterly "sanctioned"? Would not our continued ignorance of the consequences of our own unthinkable self-aggrandizing affronts to the dignity and integrity of our acarya’s mission be well "sanctioned"? How long will we, claiming to be Vaishnavas, opt to slight, disrespect, belittle, or mistreat others out of a risky, false, condescending sense of ascendancy?

[PADA: Right, the leaders and most of the rank and file of ISKCON did not learn from the Gaudiya Matha's history. The ISKCON leaders thought, yes the Gaudiya Matha had neophytes posing as gurus -- and because of that their mission failed. Yet we will do the same exact thing, and we will have our own program of "stagecraft" -- neophytes posing as gurus, but we will cheat history and have success. And as Aindra says "history's recurrence" was allowed (sanctioned) to happen in ISKCON. In sum, ISKCON failed to heed history, and was thus condemned to repeat history. And notice that "history's horrific recurrence" is what happens if we fail to heed such odious history.

Also notice, Aindra says we collectively suffer from "ignorance of the consequences of our own unthinkable self-aggrandizing affronts to the dignity and integrity of our acharya's mission." Right, self appointed gurus are engaged in "self aggrandizing." And this is an "affront," an attack, on the mission of the acharya. And we have been collectively engaged in "ignorance of the consequences" of allowing this false guru "stagecraft" program to continue, namely, that it ruins the aim, object, purpose and good name of the mission. And so, how long will we allow this misbehavior of false gurus to -- "slight, disrespect, belittle, or mistreat others out of a risky, false, condescending sense of ascendency"? In sum, these false guru have falsely ascended to the throne of guru by using -- play acting and stagecraft techniques -- and from that throne they are mistreating others, aka the vaishnavas.]

AINDRA DASA: If we won’t learn anything from the "sanctioned" instant or eventual outcome of our own "sanctioned" blatantly whitewashed folly, perhaps at least someone will somewhere along the line. That alone would make the whole "sanctioned" charade worth a little something. In the final analysis, it may be admitted that any pervertedly reflected illusory manifestation within this cosmos may purposefully pose to prospectively either entangle, liberate, or transcendentally enrapture one, consonant with the degree of spiritual eligibility governing the way one sees and responds to Maya’s multi-functional demeanor.

[PADA: Yes, as a group we have engaged in "blatant whitewashing folly" (covering up) for the folly of these false gurus. And this is simply another aspect of Maya, it is not transcendence. Aindra is addressing the root ills of ISKCON, false stagecraft gurus who also appeared in the Gaudiya Matha, who have falsely ascended to the post of guru, who are mistreating others from that post, and who are engaged in whitewashing (covering up) their odious activities, which is the same "history recurence" which occured in the Gaudiya Matha after 1936. ys pd]

  2. Unfortunately, shortly after he made such a brilliant and Krsna conscious deposition he was made to leave this world in an apparent, freak accident?...
I offer my humble obeisances at your feet Aindra Prabhu. May Lord Chaitanya, whose chanting of the Holy Names could make even the rocks melt eternaly bestow His blessings upon you. Jai Srila Prabhupada! Hare Krsna!
