Subject: Re: Upcoming abhishek of Srila Prabhupada at Mayapur

------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Basu Ghosh Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. We are in receipt of your mail dated 11 October, 2021. We have received an email from Bhanu Maharaja, Acting Chair of the GBC EC, advising us that because the upcoming TOVP Ceremony is an ‘International one’, it is better to keep his [Lokanath swami's] participation out of the program, even in a minor role.

This is not a rule or order, but will stem the controversy over the ceremony and lack of participation. Perhaps you are not aware, but his topic has been very prominent in social media in certain parts of the world for the last six months.

In another GBC email it said: "Half the GBCs will probably boycott the ceremony, giving the controversial status of Lokanatha Swami at the moment." From our viewpoint, this threat of a “boycott” is a grossly materialistic and political tool not fit for the Krishna Conscious movement, what to speak of Srila Prabhupada’s 125th Anniversary!

[PADA: Who wants to be seen promoting a known pedophile as Krishna's guru successor, at a ceremony meant to glorify Krishna and Srila Prabhupada? Naturally many people will want to boycott such a bogus event. Just think of all the photo ops of people attending who will then be linked to Lokanath -- since  they would be all seen closely knit together.

I think it is high time the GBC starts to put their foot down and draw the line on pedophiles attending their festivals in prominent positions. This is not "politics," it is just plain common sense that known pedophiles should not be given a platform of prominence in a religious ceremony. It is rubbing salt into the many molesting victims from ISKCON and is thus causing a lot of unrequired pain for no good upside. Never mind it is giving ISKCON a bad name to keep having these pedophiles, or their vociferous enablers, appearing in prominent roles.]

Subsequently, we heard from an authorized source, that there was a "GBC Proposal to cancel the entire 'TOVP Prabhupada is Coming Program.’"

Despite the fact that Lokanath Maharaja’s (LM) name only appeared in one place in the official printed Schedule to ‘lead a Maha Kirtan on 15th October’, some other GBC members came to their own incorrect, exaggerated and misinformed conclusions that LM: "was being given a prominent place in the public ceremony," "showcased," and that there was "headlining of LM in their Grand Welcoming Ceremony of Srila Prabhupada," and that this all amounted to “another slap in the face against children in ISKCON.”

Most prominent in the criticism was a mail from Malati DD wherein she said:

"Subject: Tarnishing the TOVP!

Until the TOVP stops promoting child abusers, I no longer wish to promote it or promote any related activities. Putting Lokanath Swami as a leading participant for the “Grand Welcoming Ceremony” is one more slap in the face to children, women, and families of ISKCON. What it proudly indicates to us is that we don’t matter and you don’t care."

During a telephone conversation I then had with LM regarding this unfortunate development, LM, himself, humbly said that it would be better for the TOVP and himself if he doesn’t come to the Mayapur Program at all — thus he cancelled his trip!

[PADA: OK this is a good start. Lokanath swami has cancelled making a public appearance at the TVOP. I am not sure why the ICC people keep telling me that none of our expose is having an impact on anything, when clearly it is.

Lokanath is not going to appear, but he is still the sum total of the demigods messiah of the Jagat, who can absorb sins like Jesus. That means we need to step up taking him off of more and more public roles, not only at the TVOP but anywhere else. The GBC already said LNS would not have any prominent public roles 30 years ago, when are they going to actually follow through on their own promises?]

Jayapataka Maharaja suggested that we hold a program with LM in Mayapur at a later date free from this controversial atmosphere. Ambarisa Prabhu and I would like to profusely thank you and all the Indian leadership for your continued support of the TOVP for which we are most grateful and fortunate.

[PADA: Jayapataka still wants to have it both ways, and bring in Lokanath at another date for a big public show. That is the problem right there, as soon as some firm recommendation is made to take some action to fix a problem, other GBC or gurus start to act as termites and eat apart the agreements and do the wrong things anyway, never mind public opinion is against them.]

Your humble servant,

Brajavilasa Das

[PADA: All sorts of gurukula children abuses, starving, beating, molesting and worse has been reported to have taken place in Mayapur. One Russian devotee has recently been charged in Russia in court with "child torture" at the "gurukula" there. Something very wrong has been going on there in Mayapur, and it has spread like a virus to other sectors of ISKCON.

Various ex-children have told me about Mayapur: it was a house of horrors for kids; it was Auschwitz for kids; it was like being in North Korea where they have to eat weeds and cock roaches; it is a Satanic child sacrifice cult, and so on and so forth. Why didn't hardly anyone notice there is a problem there until recently?

What good does it do to have a big building there, where various children from there think they have been in camp Auschwitz? Why are the same people who orchestrated all this child torture camp there -- still in charge there? Why has no one asked them all to resign and get away from our religion as far as possible?

Anyway, now more people are finally paying attention to all this, albeit too little too late for the thousands of children who evidently are victims of the Mayapur death camp for kids process. Lets start to straighten this all out, before ISKCON is totally burnt down to the last timber left standing.

Mayapur should not get another penny until all this is sorted out. Feeding bananas to a snake simply makes the situation worse.

Dear Ambarish Prabhu,

Namonamaha.  Jaya Srila Prabhupada!

Prabhu, over the past few hours, I have been contacted (more than once) by disciples of Lokanath Swami, who are distressed because they have heard -- and this is not confirmed -- that the ISKCON leadership in North America have contacted you demanding that Maharaj be excluded from the upcoming abhishek of Srila Prabhupada at Mayapur, on October 14/15.

Further I was told that you have been threatened by them, that if you do not comply with their demands, they will withdraw permission to raise funds in North America for the ToVP.

As I write this I cannot confirm if this is actually the fact of the matter.

However, if you don't mind, I wish to inform you that ISKCON India does not agree with the NA leadership on the issue of Lokanath Swami, and just in case you are unaware, I wish to inform you of the resolutions passed by the ISKCON India leadership, i.e., the Bureau, and the ICC (Indian temple presidents forum), regarding Lokanath Swami.

Those resolutions appear below this.

I hope that what has been reported to me is not the case. If it is true, it eems to my puny brain that it is very mean spirited. In our recent Bureau meeting, Jayapataka Maharaj very strongly asserted that the case against Lokanath Swami ought to be closed by the GBC, and this is to let you know that all of us in ISKCON India support this principled stand!

Thanks for your kind consideration of all this.  Again, I hope it is not true, but I promised the disciples of Lokanath Maharaj that I would write to you and point out the view of ISKCON India in this regard.  I regret that I will not be present at the function to install Srila Prabhupada's deity in the ToVP at Mayapur, due to circumstances.  Kindly excuse my absence.

Rest assured that ISKCON India will continue to fully support your sincere efforts to finish the ToVP at the earliest!

Hope this meets you well.

===============================

Whereas, the ISKCON India Bureau feels that the GBC decision restricting Lokanath Swami from initiating disciples, and his suspension as GBC Global Minister was taken in undue haste, Whereas, the case was already dealt with twice in the past, and Lokanath Maharaj followed all strictures imposed upon him,

Whereas, Lokanath Maharaj was examined by American experts in the field of clerical sexual abuse and they wrote in the conclusion of their report that Maharaj “does not pose a danger of overt sexual violence toward women and children”,

Whereas, the incident occured thirty one years ago, and there have been no complaints against Lokanath Swami before or after of any such incident,

Whereas, no new information has recently come to light in this case after the GBC dealt with issue for the second time during 2011,

Whereas, the GBC decision is having a far reaching demoralizing effect on the worldwide body of devotees, the devotees in ISKCON India, and the worldwide disciples of Lokanath Swami,

Therefore it is resolved that the Bureau calls upon the GBC:

1. That the GBC suspend their strictures placed upon Lokanath Swami.

2. The GBC should request that the NA leadership should inform the present

> complainants and the devotee community in NA of the many steps that were taken for the rectification of Lokanath Swami on more than one occasion in the past.

3. Lokanath Swami has agreed not to travel to North America, as well as not initiate in North America.

4. The GBC should see that the case is permanently closed.

5. The Bureau hereby forms the following committee to deal with the GBC committee on this issue. The members of the committee shall  be: the Bureau EC, the ICC Chairman, the IIAC Chairman, and Sanak Sanatan Das.

===========================================

Whereas, the ICC has taken cognizance of the recent GBC action against Lokanath Swami,

Whereas, the ICC feels that the decision taken by the GBC, suspending Lokanath Maharaj from initiating, etc., was taken in extreme haste without due consideration causing extreme mental anguish to Lokanath Maharaj and his many disciples and amongst ISKCON’s vast congregation around the world,

Whereas, the decision of the GBC regarding Lokanath Swami will have far -reaching effects both in ISKCON India, and amongst ISKCON devotees worldwide, and is liable to have disastrously adverse effects on the image of ISKCON worldwide,

Therefore it is resolved that the ICC (ISKCON India leadership) hereby expresses their full support to Lokanath Swami and demands that the GBC reverse their unfair decisions.

Also, the ICC calls on the Bureau to take up the case with the GBC, with a view to reverse this injustice and tender an apology to Lokanath Swami.

(both adopted during May 2021)
