Apparent Devamrita Assets and Past Culpability Statement

[PADA: Is this for real? Certainly seems to sum up the GBC's MAFIA style omerta -- "Code of Silence" in any case. Send your comments to: angel108b@yahoo.com]

Dear Esteemed Maharajas, Temple Presidents, and Devotees,

“I reserve my right to silence on questions around my involvement in the activities of the time, assets I had control over, and the ongoing proprietorship of said assets” In February of this year at the annual GBC meetings I met with a cohort of my GBC godbrothers at their request to address some concerns raised in regards to the transparency of my past when it comes to accepting and initiating disciples. The conversation was conducted respectfully and in a collegiate manner and I have humbly conceded to comply with some conditions put forward during the discussion. Those conditions are… That the following declaration be made available to all current disciples and existing prospective disciples:

That appropriate temple authorities discuss the below declarations with any future prospective disciples before such candidates approach me for shelter and immediately upon learning that the candidate is seeking shelter from me.

That the below declarations be made publicly available in all temples and zones where I am a GBC, hold a position of leadership, or have a significant number of supporters.

My declaration…

The proverbial ‘elephant in the room’ … is my re-entry in to Iskcon after being excommunicated during the New Vrindavan years was under an agreement of amnesty, I continue an expectation of that amnesty being honored, I reserve my right to silence on questions around my involvement in the activities of the time, assets I had control over, and the ongoing proprietorship of said assets.
In unison with the vast majority of my Sannyasi godbrothers, I decline to participate in the GBC mandate that Sannyasis’ declare their assets and income on an annual basis. I include questions around my Australian registered company ‘Jay Matsya Superannuation’ within this privacy.

I have several aliases that I have not deemed necessary to declare publicly in the past, Devamrita Swami, Jay Matsya, and my birth name Lee Reynolds. I have been married and divorced twice, once to a Polish devotee, once to a Danish devotee. There have been times where I have denied being married.

In 2016 a recording was made public of me giving advice in regards to how local authorities should deal with the reporting of a sexual assault. In the recording I advise them to try and get the victim to state it was mutual and that it will all go away. No Iskcon authority has expressed to me that this advice is inappropriate.

Your humble servant, Devamrita Swami

[PADA: Why did ISKCON GBC elevate the top tier leaders of New Vrndavana, like Devamrita, Radhanath, Malati, Umapati, Kuladri, Chandra Shekhar, Varsana, Tapah punja, Bhakti Tirtha swami et al, as their new wave of authority? All this after New Vrndavana was raided by the police for all sorts of criminal activities and was sued in the child molesting case? The leaders of this regime are the way forward for ISKCON? And we have to bury the pedophile and criminal leader of this group, aka Kirtanananda, in a samadhi in the holy dham? ys pd]

  1. No Mother ***** you were probably not dreaming, but hearing correctly some years ago, when you attended a Devamrita lecture where he was saying "women are more muchi than a toilet." There is a misogyny culture among many of these leaders. Yes, there seems to be a pattern of not giving a lot of credit to women among these people, and to instead minimize and belittle women, if not to demonize women.

    I agree with your assessment.

As for Bhakti Vikas swami, he also writes about how women are mothers and not masters, except many of the women who did not want to worship BVKS debauchees acharyas were booted out, and he did nothing of substance to defend and help these women.

That means women as a class are more advanced than he is, because they did a lot more to try to correct things than he ever will. But its a good ole boys club, yep, you got it. ys pd

  2. Yes, this does look like it was written by a lawyer, probably because someone is threatening to sue ISKCON. Notice, my mishandling of the sexual assault problem was never disagreed to by the other ISKCON authorities, they all agreed to the way I (mis) handled it. OK yes I agree, this means they cover for one another, its that simple. So that means they are only able to thrive under a protective wall of mutual cover up, MAFIA omerta, various legal shenanigans, expensive legal defense funds, and so on. And that is why the Isopanisad says these corrupt acharyas might escape the laws of the mundane courts, but they will never escape the courts of Yamaraja. ys pd
