Annada Ekadasi Aug 21st
If one fasts completely on this day and worships Hrishikesha, the master of the senses, one becomes free of all reactions to his sins. Even one who simply hears about this Ekadasii is freed from his past sins. Oh King, there is no better day than this in all the earthly and heavenly worlds. This is true without a doubt.
“There once lived a famous king named Harishchandra, who was the emperor of the world and a person of great truth and integrity. His wife’s name was Chandramati, and he had a son named Lohit Ashva. By the force of destiny, however, Harishchandra lost his great kingdom and sold his wife and son. The pious king himself became a menial servant of a dog-eater, who made him guard a crematorium. Yet even while doing such menial service, hedid not forsake his truthfulness and good character, just as soma-rasa,even when mixed with some other liquid, does not lose its ability to bestow immortality.
“The king passed many years in this condition. Then one day hesadly thought, ‘What shall I do? Where shall I go? How can I be deliveredfrom this plight?’ In this way he drowned in an ocean of anxiety andsorrow.
“One day a great sage happened by, and when the king saw him he happily thought, ‘Ah, Lord Brahma has created brahmins just to help others.’ Harishchandra paid his respectful obeisances to the sage, whose name was Gautama Muni. With joined palms the king stood before Gautama Muniand narrated his pitiful story. Gautama Muni was astonished to hear theking’s tale of woe. He thought, ‘How has this mighty king been reducedto collecting clothes from the dead?’ Gautama Muni became very much compassionate toward Harishchandra and instructed him on the process of fasting for purification.
“Gautama Muni said, ‘Oh king, during the dark fortnight of the month of Bhadrapada there occurs an especially meritorious Ekadasii named AjA (Annada),which removes all sins. Indeed, this Ekadasii is so auspicious that if you simply fast on that day and perform no other austerity,all your sins will be nullified. By your good fortune it is coming in justseven days. So I urge you to fast on this day and remain awake through the night. If you do so, all the reactions of your past sins will come to anend. Oh Harishchandra, I have come here because of your past pious deeds.Now, all good fortune to you in the future!’ So saying, the great sage Sri Gautama Muni immediately disappeared for their vision.

Oh Maharaja Yudhisthira, because the king fasted on that day, the reactions to his previous sins were completely destroyed at once. Oh lion among kings, just see the influence ofthis Ekadasii fast! It immediately vanquishes whatever miseries one maybe suffering as a result of past karmik sinful activities.
Thus all Harishchandra’s miseries were relieved. Just by the power of this wonderful Ekadasii, he was reunited with his wife and son, who had died but were now revived. In the heavenly regions the devas (demigods)began beating on their celestial kettledrums and showering down flowers upon Harishchandra, his queen, and their son. By the blessings of the Ekadasii fast, he regained his kingdom without difficulty. Moreover, when King Harishchandra left the planet, his relatives and all his subjects too, went with him to the spiritual world.
“Oh Pandava, whoever fasts on Aja Ekadasii is surely freed from all his sins and ascends to the spiritual world. And whosoever hears and studies the glories of this Ekadasii achieves the merit gained by performing a horse sacrifice.”

Madhu Pandit Das Vyas Puja
My Vyasa puja offering to Srila Prabhupada:-
Dear Srila Prabhupada,
Please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to Your Divine Grace.
Yet another year has passed under the transcendental shower of your causeless mercy. The transcendental shower that cools the scorching heat of miseries of this material world where there is the danger at every step. It is only by your mercy that over the last sixteen years we, the devotees of ISKCON Bangalore, have survived the material forces that have attempted to break the faith of thousands of your followers on this planet - that Your Divine Grace can be accepted as everyone’s direct sad-guru - both Primary Siksha and Diksha guru.
It is easier to survive the attack of atheists than the guruvadis in ISKCON, who twist your direct orders and preach that Your Divine Grace cannot be a guru for anyone on this planet anymore after 1977. According to them, Srila Prabhupada, you are ‘no longer with us’, having physically ‘departed’ in 1977. Therefore it is only to them that the jivas have to surrender to as disciples, and not to Your Divine Grace.
It is nothing but the twisted philosophy of ‘kill guru and become guru’. Your Divine Grace has used this very phrase while referring to ambitious neophyte disciples. This is especially so when you have explicitly ordered that those initiated in ISKCON will always be the disciples of Your Divine Grace.
This faith of thousands of devotees that: Your Divine Grace actually receives their direct surrender from them; Your Divine Grace actually guides sincere seekers in advancing in spiritual life, in the wonderful association of your other servants, in an organization Your Divine Grace designed. This truth is proven today by your lilas at ISKCON Bangalore for the last fifteen years. Thousands of lives are transformed every day, by the association of your books and your deity form in the temples of our group over the past fifteen years. The intense and foremost attachment and commitment to Your Divine Grace, of all the devotees, is the proof of this.
Srila Prabhupada, you have nicely explained the prakata and aprakata form of the Lord. The visible and invisible. In CC Madhya 13.155 purport
“Krishna has two kinds of presence—prakata and aprakata, manifest and unmanifest. These are identical for the sincere devotee. Even if Krishna is not physically present, the devotee’s constant absorption in the affairs of Krishna makes Him always present.”
Srila Prabhupada, when Your Divine Grace were asked by a reporter, “what will happen to the movement when Your Divine Grace die?” Your Divine Grace replied, “I will never die”.
Thus, wherever Your Divine Grace is sought after as the guru and worshiped and followed, Your Divine grace, even today in the aprakata (invisible) form, continue your aprakata lila with such disciples and inspire them to advance in Krishna Consciousness as much as Your Divine Grace were doing during your prakata lila. This is the understanding from your reply to the reporter – ‘I will never die’.
Your Divine Grace also established your deity forms in your temples even when present on the planet. In these forms, Your Divine Grace is prakta, giving opportunity for rendering personal service of dressing, offering bhoga, worshipping etc. All these are in no way, different from your lila on this planet before November 14th 1977. From your teachings it is clear that there is no difference. To think that on that day, Nov 14th 1977, some significant change happened and you are no longer ‘present’ with us after that date as a ‘living guru’ anymore, is absurd and false.
It was this falsehood that led to so called new ‘living gurus’ being propped up in 1978 and thereafter continuing till date. And this turned out to be the biggest disaster which has practically destroyed the movement- so carefully built and nurtured by Your Divine Grace.
The Hare Krishna Movement is your transcendental creation and it transcendentally belongs to Your Divine Grace. It is your house in this world, where your service to the guru-parampara is conducted eternally, through your disciples. Your Divine Grace has expressed your transcendental ownership of ISKCON by clearly mandating through written instructions, that the words ‘Founder-Acharya’ shall always be written below, wherever ‘ISKCON’ is mentioned.
Your mandate through this instruction is crystal clear. It is your transcendental vision to prevent future generations of ambitious neophytes from assuming that since Your Divine Grace is no longer physically present, it is time for the next person to fill your shoes, in ‘parampara’, and take over as the Acharya or spiritual successor. Promoting Your Divine Grace as the purva acarya, directly or indirectly, in ISKCON, is an act of constant offence as it means Your Divine Grace can be approached only through another current link as present guru.
On 18/2/76 Your Divine Grace said in a room conversation,
“After 80 years no one can be expected to live long. My life is almost ended. So you have to carry on, and these books will do everything.”
So it is very clear that Your Divine Grace will continue to influence thousands of souls by being directly connected to them as their spiritual master. Your transcendental vision in setting up the ISKCON organization was to facilitate and give service to all your disciples for all future generations as long as ISKCON exists to become instruments in training and strengthening every spiritual aspirant’s direct connection with Your Divine Grace as their spiritual master, both diksha and siksha guru and thus continue your parampara.
On this occasion Srila Prabhupada, I would also like to meditate on your glory of taking so many hardships for the preaching mission in this world and setting the example for future generation of disciples - the standard of hard work to spread Krishna consciousness. Srila Prabhupada, your life has demonstrated how one can express his love for his guru. To develop that love for one’s guru, one has to sacrifice one’s comfort for guru’s mission and vision. This means to take pains for his pleasure of expanding his spiritual mission on this earth. There is a tendency to think that perfection means that everything will go smoothly in this world and there will be no hardship. This principle of working hard by taking pains even for fulfilling the Lord’s mission, is nicely explained by Your Divine Grace in this following purport.
“In executing penance, one must be determined to return home, back to Godhead, and must decide to undergo all types of tribulations for that end. Even for material prosperity, name and fame, one has to undergo severe types of penance; otherwise no one can become an important figure in this material world. Why, then, are there severe types of penance for the perfection of devotional service? An easygoing life and attainment of perfection in transcendental realization cannot go together. The Lord is more clever than any living entity; therefore He wants to see how painstaking the devotee is in devotional service. The order is received from the Lord, either directly or through the bona fide spiritual master, and to execute that order, however painstaking, is the severe type of penance. One who follows the principle rigidly is sure to achieve success in attaining the Lord's mercy.”

Anyone who reads this purport will come out of the false idea that the perfection of devotional service is one of comfort to the senses, body and mind, without any disturbance from any quarter. Your Divine Grace, as the Acarya, has taught us by your own example how to be well grounded by emotional acceptance of the reality that troubles and pains are very much part of devotional service and it is very natural. And devotees have to take up such austerities if any significant progress is to be made against maya’s plans to keep the jivas within her clutches. Situations that demand austerity in devotional service are great opportunities to purify our self-centered mentality.
Your Divine Grace wrote to your disciple on 27th July 1970:
“Kindly keep me informed of your activities at least twice in a week, otherwise I become very much anxious and due to my blood pressure sometimes do not eat, do not sleep. I am just trying to organize a worldwide movement not for any personal ambition but to execute superior orders, and by the grace of Krsna we are getting good encouragement. So I request my students to co-operate fully.”
So this is Acarya - one who sets standards by his own example. Your Divine Grace never taught an easy going life. You spent sleepless nights in the anxieties of organizing this world-wide movement for Lord Chaitanya. Your Divine Grace promised to take us back to Godhead - but instructed us all to lead a life of struggle for spiritual advancement and hard work to preach Lord Chaitanya’s mission. Dedication and commitment to fulfill the order of one’s guru, even if it means fighting formidable forces against all odds. Even if it means going to courts.
Your Divine Grace never settled to rest in material comforts or in the glory of your success while preaching in this world till your last breath. Preaching or practicing devotional service with such material ideas is just sense gratification and is just another deep anartha. Preaching mission in this world of maya means always dealing with opposing forces that are bound to attack, starting with our own body and mind.
While we are asked to take pains to preach the glories of the Holy Name, Your Divine Grace has also armed us with enough ammunition to give us real empowerment and transcendental happiness for the soul, by teaching us the art of associating with the Holy Name by chanting and hearing the sound incarnation of the Lord, “kali-kale nama-rupe krsna-avatara”. Srila Prabhupada, you have talked and talked and talked about the glories of the Holy Name - of how to chant, how to hear, how to be attentive and the theology of the Holy Name in your books.
So many transcendental secrets of the Holy Names are hidden in simple lines of your several purports. Each one of them opens the door to the spiritual world. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu named Haridas Thakur the Nama-acarya. Your Divine Grace has extended the mission of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, all over the world and has spread the Nama which is today dancing on the tongues of millions of jivas. Your Divine Grace is the true Ambassador, like Haridas Thakur, of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who is the very personification of Hare Krishna maha-mantra.
What a spiritual wonder you have created on this earth. Now there is no stopping of this sankirtana. How close and dear you are to the Holy Name is understandable from the degree of empowerment with which Your Divine Grace spread the Holy name all over the world in such a short span. kṛṣṇa-śakti vinā nahe tāra pravartana – (CC Antya 7.11)
We are all so fortunate to be born at a time to even hear about this Hare Krishna movement. Srila Prabhupada we all know that Your Divine Grace is in our midst, guiding and protecting us. In spite of not being surrendered enough to perfectly receive and follow all your instructions, Srila Prabhupada, you are still protecting me. I know that any complexity in your mission that is not solvable, is due to our lack of clearly hearing your directions; lack of clearly understanding your instructions; lack of enough determination to follow.
For years together, following your teachings, I prayed to the Supersoul, for practical guidance in preaching and have received tremendous reciprocation by repeated application of Krishna’s words in Bhagavad-gita “mat citta sarva durgani, mat prasadat tarisyasi”. But, for some reason, some big preaching projects that have been conceived and started off in the recent times, by your mercy, have stagnated for years, faced by one hurdle or the other inspite of increased prayer and dependence on the Lord in my heart. I understood that Krishna wanted to teach me something important and until I learn this, He would not permit or sanction the progress of these projects.
After a lot of soul searching, the realization dawned on me that there is a small - but significant difference - in praying, surrendering and depending on guru and praying and surrendering and depending directly on the Supersoul, Krishna. Krishna wants me to learn that first dependence is on his pure devotee - and then on Him. I have to move to the next phase of increased faith in Srila Prabhupada as the true power of attorney holder of Krishna.
First things first. That is the true purport of “yasya prasadad bhagavat-prasado yasyaprasadan na gatih kuto 'pi”. Though I sing this every morning, yet I prayed to the Lord directly everyday all these years. After this finer realization, I am now training myself to always pray to Your Divine Grace first, for granting of devotional service and strength to overcome all obstacles in your preaching mission and then only to the Lord. And I find increased spiritual energy to serve Your Divine Grace. After that I have started to see that things are changing for good in these stagnated projects in the last few months.
Srila Prabhupada, you have preached that we always pray and surrender to the Lord in the heart. But now I know that the Lord is more pleased when we surrender and pray to His pure devotees first. The very same Lord is more eager to reciprocate with mercy of all kinds when a devotee surrenders and prays to Your Divine Grace, for that is the right culture of devotion for a disciple.
One thing I am sure from my own realization - Your Divine Grace is by the side of anyone who wants to serve your mission without simply thinking of his own peace and bliss at the material level. And your teachings direct us to experience the transcendental peace and bliss that comes from simply knowing and feeling the sense of one’s eternal belonging to the eternal guru and the eternal Lord as their eternal servant, and becoming indifferent to material ups and downs.
Thank you Srila Prabhupada and your dear Lord Krishna for the intense merciful grind you are putting me through to learn these finer nuances of devotional service. Thank you, Srila Prabhupada for the daily dose of “divya-gyan hrde prakashita” and hardships that make me think and learn different lessons. Thank you Srila Prabhupada for making my daily life transcendentally blissful in spite of trials and tribulations from the material energy.
Based on this realization, on this auspicious day of this year’s Vyasa puja, I pray that if it so pleases Your Divine Grace, kindly put an end to this legal battle as soon as possible, and remove all the obstacles, and sanction us all in the coming five years the devotional service of completing the construction of a world’s largest monumental temple for your dear Lordships at Vrindavan dham to expand the glories of Vrindavan dham, which, Your Divine Grace has already put on world map.
Again I pray, if it pleases Your Divine Grace, in the coming five years, sanction us all, the service of completing the construction of an equally monumental complex of the Krishna Lila Park at Vaikunta Hill, Bangalore South, to make it the Vaikunta Embassy on this earth from where the Holy Name will be distributed to millions of souls by inspiring them through depiction of the wonderful lilas of Lord Krishna.
Again I pray, give me the knowledge and spiritual skills and strength to do the service of chanting and hearing the Maha-mantra better and better without offenses and also to serve and share such knowledge of improved japa with all devotees who have dedicated their lives to spread the Holy Name as your unalloyed servants.

Some of the NM folks have evidently spent more on their personal car than on their entire guru's samadhi program, or so it seems? NM was a big fan of the GBC gurus who are making "samadhis" for all kinds of fools, even they have better "samadhi" structures than this one. Has none of these people ever watched how to build a structure on home depot's youtube videos? Yes, a NM devotee wrote PADA a few days ago that there are 20,000 disciples in the NM sangha, ummm, they cannot collect a dollar from each person to build something? ys pd]

Dear Srila Prabhupada,
Please accept my most humble obeisances at your lotus feet.
For my Vyasa puja this year I wanted to simply start by saying that I am very much in your eternal debt for giving Krishna to me. As you have said so nicely, living without Krishna is simply a life of ignorance, suffering and illusion, with very little chance of making further progress into one's next life. Worse, without Krishna our chances are very good to take birth as a dog in our next life.
That unfortunate future would probably have been my destiny without meeting your grace. And as such, meeting you is certainly Krishna's very kind mercy upon me. Just as Krishna says -- there is no way He can repay the love of the gopis, similarly there is no way I can repay you by your helping me find Krishna. We are truly born in the darkness of ignorance and the spiritual master forces us to see with the torch light of knowledge, and you did that for me. As you said, once someone starts this process, then Krishna forcibly drags that person to be with Him. And I feel this practically, that Krishna is indeed pulling me along, dragging me along, kicking me along, -- just as you said He would. What mercy this is!
Whatever happens in my life, whether it be good, bad or even most terrible, you are my eternal guide and savior always. I have been criticized -- even by many of my dear God brothers -- for "trying to make Srila Prabhupada into another Jesus," but to me at least, you are another Jesus since you gave me Krishna directly. Yes, you saved me and that is the plain fact of the matter.
Thus, wherever I may take my future birth as Krishna desires, it does not matter. Its in His hands. I feel secure knowing that I am part and parcel of Krishna and I have truly met Krishna's external representative, namely yourself. And that means -- at some point -- I at least have a chance to be placed back into Krishna's presence, even if that takes millions or billions of of years, you have put me back on the road to His lotus feet thanks to your causeless mercy.
In other words, you have somehow or other given me the gift of being connected to Krishna, it is the highest gift one can bestow on another living entity and I am simply crying tears of joy to have this wonderful gift. There is simply nothing in the material world to compare this gift to, it is truly priceless.
The greatest gift in the universe.
My only lament is that you wanted to give this gift to many others, and your mission has been somewhat oppressed and hampered since your departure, thus many others were deprived of getting this gift.
You also gave us many "warnings and predictions" of what would happen -- if your directives were not heeded. You predicted that unless we were very vigilant, most of your followers would retreat back to their former "hippie style" lives of illusion after you departed. That has proven to be true in many cases. You warned that unless the leaders were very vigilant, they would lose interest in spiritual life and become interested in "pounds, shillings and pence." That has all proven to be true.
You warned, "after I depart, the leaders will not print my books, thus we need to print ALL of my books now while I am still here." In short, you could not trust these leaders to even continue the most basic program of your book publication. That is exactly what happened, these leaders orchestrated a massive drop in your book printing and sales. In fact, most of your original edition books are no longer even being printed at the present time. Printing in many foreign languages has also simply ceased altogether. This is what you warned could happen if we lost sight of your orders, and it did happen.
Almost everyone now acknowledges that the printing and distribution of your books has gone down substantially, and in many cities it has gone down to nil. You also warned that the "rascal editors" could change your books, and they have done so. We had to fight very hard to establish even the most basic legal rights to print your original books. The good news is, your original books are now back in popular demand as more and more people agree with us that these book changes are not bona fide.
You said "at least maintain the temples we have got already," and that was simply not done. Many of these temples were mercilessly emptied of manpower and dwindled down to near bankrupt status, or factual bankrupt status. Some temples are still being closed or sold as we speak, because maintaining your temples has not been a priority item for most of these leaders, just as you predicted could happen. You said that the Gaudiya Matha temples became empty and occupied by a few motivated leaders -- after they drove out their God brothers -- and the same pattern has occurred in ISKCON despite your dire warnings of this possibility.
You said that the most important thing for our movement is to develop the "second generation" of children, and train them to become Krishna's devotees. You warned that if this training was not conducted properly -- these children could become alienated and maybe abandon the religion. That is what has happened factually for the most part, just as you warned it could. Worse, the current leaders are doing very little if nothing to form an out reach to bring back these alienated ex-children. Many of these leaders simply chose to create an opulent lifestyle for themselves at the expense of these children, acting very much like the demon kings you describe in your writings. They simply did not want to follow your directions.
You warned that we need to make self sufficient farming communities, because the mundane society's cities would start to suffer from unemployment, increased crime, social degradation, higher taxes, pollution of all types -- and many other forms of strife. However, most of the rural farm projects you wanted to be done -- so your devotees could live a simple and God conscious life -- were neglected, bankrupted -- if not sold or dwindled down to extinction.
And sure enough most of your poor devotees then ended up with no rural shelter, and thus many are struggling very hard for material existence, still living in these big cities being forced to live in the very stressful material society they once condemned, and work very hard to secure life's necessities.
A good number of the devotees in general have departed their bodies prematurely due to the stress of going back to live in the material ocean. I am sure that you have spoken to Krishna on their behalf to have them re-engaged in Krishna's service in their next life, since all of this is part of an eternal process. The poor devotees of the post-1936 Gaudiya Matha were also (for the most part) pushed back into the material ocean, and that our ISKCON leaders would ignore this odious history and copy this pattern is simply astonishing, since they already know how badly you condemned this process.
You warned we should not associate with the Gaudiya Matha's leaders, but that was the first place your leaders went to -- right after your departure. They went "across the river in Navadvip" to your God brothers missions. You warned that these Gaudiya Matha's folks and their idea that "acharyas are subject to illusion" caused the breakdown of their 1930s Gaudiya Vaishnava mission, and it would also break down your mission if implemented in your society. It has.
You warned that we should not implement the Gaudiya Matha's process of -- unqualified gurus, rubber stamped gurus, appointed gurus, voted in gurus, monitored gurus, suspended gurus, censured gurus, excommunicated gurus and so on, but the ISKCON leaders have adopted all of these deviations, and much more. You warned that such relativised acharya ideas would destroy the mass of people's faith in the whole process given by the bona fide acharyas, and destroy the preaching spirit. It has.
You also warned that we should not associate with the Vrndavana and Radha Kunda babajis, and yet many of your leaders went to them for "spiritual advice." I recently watched a video of many ISKCON people at one of these babajis residences, where it is obvious that a number of ISKCON leaders are encouraging people to visit there. You said this would destroy the preaching spirit, for starters because babaji life is not preaching life, and this would make a cheap sahajiya atmosphere where all kinds of fools would think they are rasika devotees, pure devotees and so on. Worse, the main theme of your preaching concept would be stopped. It has.
You warned in early 1977 that the sannyasa order is not working, we should suspend that order, and instead emphasize farms managed by grhastha householders. Yet as soon as you departed the leaders started rubber stamping scores of these false sannyasas and worse, claiming that these sannyasas are also acharyas. And then these leaders began to drive out most of the householders, and suppress, hamper if not shut down the farms meant to facilitate these householders. You warned previously that this was a "fratricidal war" which will destroy my mission -- when some of the sannyasas wanted to move the householders to Australia.
You warned that we should not become entangled in mundane academia, but as soon as you departed some of your leaders -- including some who also claimed to be acharyas -- began to attend mundane colleges to obtain "learning degrees" from the same mental speculators that you said are teaching "fool-oh-sophy." Some of these same "leaders" even began to attack many of your teachings as "not compatible with academia," and these leaders began to accept the ideas of mundane college professors, the same professors you said were "Dr. Frogs." "How can a frog know who is God and what this universe is?" you used to challenge, and yet now some of your so-called leaders have surrendered to these Dr. Frogs as their authorities.
You warned that if your GBC did not do their job properly, they could take birth as sudras. You warned that people who falsely pose as acharyas go to the lowest regions of the universe. You warned that neophytes cannot act as diksha gurus and absorb the sins of others, this will cause them to degrade. You warned that sannyasas should not associate with women in a secluded place. You warned that sannyasa should not live in opulence, and so on!
You also said we cannot adopt bogus ideas like homosexual marriages, but some of your leaders are participating in, conducting and supporting these deviations. You said we cannot sell cheap trinkets to the public or we would become like mundane businessmen, but after 1977 the "samkirtana" movement became largely a cheap business of -- selling oil paintings, football stickers, rock and roll records -- and much worse paraphernalia. You warned how this would degrade ISKCON, and it has. You also warned us not to make ISKCON into a Hindu-ized business, with Hindu weddings, car poojas, demigod's worship and so forth, and that too was among of the first things the leaders started implementing.
Of course, the list of warnings you gave is much more extensive, and the list of how the leaders of ISKCON ignored all of your warnings is almost endless, it would be like writing an encyclopedia of deviations. The good news is that more and more people are waking up to the fact that all of these deviations are not what you wanted and ordered. More and more people are repeating what you said all along: Acharyas do not fall down into illusion and debauchery; No one should edit the books of a pure devotee; Children need to be cared for and brought into the religion; Samkirtana means chanting the names of God and not selling football stickers, and so on and so forth.
So we are very encouraged to have more and more allies helping along these ideas, that your orders need to be implemented, and we need to pull out these weeds of all these deviations. At the same time, all of this is to be expected due to the nature of Kali Yuga, where people in general tend towards deviations, making bogus gurus, and so forth. In any case we are very encouraged that your message has not been lost, and there are a lot of people who want to accept you as their guru -- and as such -- your mission and process will continue and expand as time goes on, and it is expanding at present.
As for me personally, many of your disciples said to me all this is "too complicated" for them to understand and deal with. I never saw it that way. Its very simple. You said the acharya must be pure: (Antya 7.12) "Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura explains that unless one is directly empowered by the causeless mercy of Krsna, one cannot become the spiritual master of the entire world (jagad-guru). One cannot become an acarya simply by mental speculation. The true acarya presents Krsna to everyone by preaching the holy name of the Lord throughout the world. Thus the conditioned souls, purified by chanting the holy name, are liberated from the blazing fire of material existence. In this way, spiritual benefit grows increasingly full, like the waxing moon in the sky. The true acarya, the spiritual master of the entire world, must be considered an incarnation of krsna's mercy. indeed, he is personally embracing krsna. he is therefore the spiritual master of all the varnas and asramas."
Its really that simple, the guru is the pure representative of God, so he must be as pure as God, this is not really complicated at all. In any case, I am taking shelter of you to try to understand the mentality of a real devotee by reading your statements -- such as, "Personally, I have no hope for any direct service for the coming crores of births of the sojourn of my life, but I am confident that some day or other I shall be delivered from this mire of delusion in which I am at present so deeply sunk. Therefore let me with all my earnestness pray at the lotus feet of my divine master to allow me to suffer the lot for which I am destined due to my past misdoings, but to let me have this power of recollection: that I am nothing but a tiny servant of the Almighty Absolute Godhead, realized through the unflinching mercy of my divine master. Let me therefore bow down at his lotus feet with all the humility at my command. -Abhay Charan Das 1936"

Prahlad das (Paul) attacks Srila Prabhupada
PADA: Yes prabhu you are correct. Prahlad das now says the reason he is against Srila Prabhupada and our Prabhupadanuga's program of making nice Krishna temples is -- (as Prahlad finally admits) he thinks temples for Krishna are simply "piles of sky scraper stones. Not very intelligent work." Therefore Srila Prabhupada was wrong to have the temple moved to a big sky scraper on 340 W. 55th Street, in Manhattan in 1975.
In short, Prahlad now says that Srila Prabhupada's whole idea of making hundreds of opulent KRISHNA temples is simply making mundane piles of dirt and bricks, and the temples of GOD are the exact same thing as the karmis making mundane sky scrapers. Srila Prabhupada was so happy that we got a nice big sky scraper building in New York City -- and Prahlad now criticizes -- this is all about simply collecting mundane bricks. Hmmm, and some of the GBC's gurus are also against us making big buildings for Krishna?
And the GBC are closing and selling some of these big temples, just like they sold 55th street. Yet, if we Prabhupadanugas make a big temple for Krishna as Srila Prabhupada wanted and ordered, that's simply a pile of dirt. Lets see, Srila Prabhupada wanted big buildings, even the biggest of buildings, and Prahlad does not even want to see a pup tent for Krishna in the UK, thus he makes nothing there?
Prahlad agrees with the atheists, Krishna does not need to have any home at all, its a waste of time to make opulent facility for the Lord. And that is why Prahlad refuses to even make a pup tent sized temple in UK for Krishna, he wants Krishna to be homeless.
You are right, that makes Prahlad straight up atheist. He is so envious that Krishna is getting all these opulent houses, that is what all the demons in Krishna book ALSO complained about, why is Krishna getting all these nice facilities, golden palaces, many servants and etc.?

Politics over Madhudvisa's departure?

[PADA: Yep, Madhudvisa das first of all left ISKCON after 1978, and he was for many years living in Badger, in part when I also lived there. He talked to me a few times about the issues, and he said that he agreed with me on this point at least -- he could not endorse the GBC's illicit sex gurus.
OK to be honest, nor could he endorse my idea of opposing them so vociferously. He thought my opposing technique was a little to harsh. Yet he did not see any fault with my basic idea that the acharya must be a pure devotee, he said that is the correct siddhanta.
OK, he did not say that he endorsed the GBC's illicit sex gurus program. We have heard reports that some of the GBC gurus are now lecturing that he was always part of ISKCON. Nope. Even in Los Angeles he had his own place and was separated from the temple. In any case this shows how desperate the GBC is, they now try to make it sound like all the God brothers were happy with their illicit sex, self-appointed and violent goonda GBC's guru program, nope, they were not.
There is no evidence that Madhudvisa wrote that he supported the GBC gurus, that we have seen at least. We think the GBC gurus are making politics over his departure, at a time when he is not here to defend, deny or correct statements attributed to himself. He wrote a poem saying that charisma alone is not enough to make one a guru, sounds like he was poking holes in the GBC's gurus, if anyone has that poem please send it to me. ys pd

PADA: Yes it is disgusting to see these comments about how sinful Robin Williams was and etc. Many "devotees" are quick to judge others as "the karmis, the demons, the fools in the modes of ignorance" and so forth, forgetting that their society, that they themselves helped create -- if not caused a number of cases -- if not created a culture of -- suicidal depression by mis-use of the Krishna religion -- wherein we had some of their own society's people feeling suicidal, yep in their own society.
And -- as of yet -- there has not been any true accounting for the people who generated this atmosphere, nor their hand maidens. Then again, the reason people like Robin Williams and billions of other people are not able to take shelter of Krishna is because of the pile of criminal punks who are STILL posing as God's messiahs EVEN today in the Krishna society, wherein -- not only Robin Williams but almost cent percent of Srila Prabhupada's original devotees have no shelter there.
And some folks seem to be proud of this accomplishment? Suicide is not a good option, no doubt, but if people are driven away from taking shelter of Krishna, are blocked from taking shelter of Krishna, are discouraged from taking shelter of Krishna and so on, the blame for those people's misery also spreads to the class of people who created or aided this blockage. In sum, the folks who created and those who helped create this blockage are partly to blame for the resultant lack of ability for the mass of people to be able to be attracted to Krishna, that would include all people including Robin Williams. ys pd
